Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven

vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee
the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY,
BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Before any of you get your panty hose in a wad over the title of this
article, let me explain. According to the Bible, anyone who is involved in the
heresy of Idolatry and False Religion is committing Spiritual Whoredom.

This article is a critical analysis of Beth Moore and her book, Get Out of
that Pit, with a few excerpts from some of her other materials. She claims to
like “Straight Talk about God’s Deliverance” and so Straight Talk this will be.
Since many are claiming Beth is so “awesome” I thought I ought to examine
her work in light of the Scriptures.

Beth says she sensed God calling her to work for Him at the age 18. She
does not give a Bible verse for God calling women into the ministry, because
there is NOT one. She taught “Christian aerobics” whatever that is, and she has
no Bible verse for that either. Beth teaches a 700 member-Sunday School class
at The First Baptist Church of Houston, Texas. She also teaches an
INTERDENOMINATIONAL Bible study at the Church on Tuesday nights.
“Beth counts serving women of all denominations as one of her greatest
privileges.” (P6 The Patriarchs by Beth Moore)

I wrote to Beth on June 18, 2010 and asked her sixteen questions, one of
them being, “Are there any false religions in the world today and if so, would
she name them?” I finally received a response from her office dated July 7,
2010 and her correspondent assistant DID NOT answer even one of my
questions. I guess when you are a member of one of the most Liberal Churches
in the country that endorses every version of the Bible; it is not hard to embrace
every religion of the world. (I will send you a copy of our correspondence free
upon request.)

Page 2

The above passages in Revelation deal with a false religion as a Whore,
and giving birth to other whores as well. (Every religion CONTRARY to the
Doctrine of Christ is a spiritual whore.) This “woman” is drunk with the blood
of the saints and the martyrs of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 17:6) Her colors are
purple and scarlet. (Revelation 17:4) This woman has in her hand a golden cup.
(Revelation 17:4) She is seated upon seven mountains. (Revelation 17:9) The
woman is termed “that great city”. (Revelation 17:18) When you study the
colors of this religion, her riches, and the seven mountains where she sits it is
obvious God has exposed the Vatican, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic
Church. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

God said, “Come out of her my people...” (Revelation 18:4) Those who
fail to do so will be partakers of her sins and receive of her plagues. (Rev. 18:4)

Instead of EXPOSING false religions and their DAMNABLE
HERESIES as God commands, Beth counts it a “privilege” to serve them.
(Thus, the reason for the title of this article.)

Beth Moore uses several versions of the Bible, the Amplified Bible,
American Standard Version, Holman Christian Standard Bible, New American
Standard, The New King James Version, The King James Bible, and the New
International Version in her materials.

She favors the NIV for her books and workbooks. She says, “Use any
version you prefer for personal study, but keep an NIV nearby for times when I
ask you to note a particular word or phrase.” (P.6 A Woman’s Heart, God’s
Dwelling Place.)

All other versions have one thing in common. They are all AGAINST the
King James Bible, or The AUTHORIZED KING JAMES VERSION, translated
from the Textus Receptus or the Received Text.

Most other versions are taken from a corrupt set of manuscripts called the
Alexandrian Manuscripts including the Vaticanus and Siniaticus.

To keep it simple, The King James Bible is pro-Christ while the other
versions are pro-Roman Catholic.

Did you get that? Beth favors the NIV, a pro-Roman Catholic version of
the Bible. Did you know the NIV had an avowed lesbian editor working on it?
Did you know the NIV omits many words and passages from the Bible? For
example, the NIV omits Acts 8:37, and Matthew 23:14. Would one of you
scholars tell me why?

Acts 8:37 makes it clear that Baptism is for Believers only. That refutes
those who would Baptize babies, like the Roman Catholic Church.

Matthew 23:14 condemns those who “devour widows’ houses” and for a
“pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.”
That passage exposes those who promise something CONTRARY to the Word
of God. They are pretenders for pay. Some are

Page 3

lighting candles, some are teaching Bible studies, some are selling books, and
some are selling speaking engagements.

The NIV teaches Salvation is a process, like the Roman Catholic Church
does.

The Word of God, (KJV), says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them
that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” (1
Corinthians 1:18)

The NKJV, NASV, etc., and Beth’s favorite, the NIV says, “being
saved.”

I am NOT being saved, I’m saved. Salvation is the work of God. “For by
grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

According to Beth’s Bible she is not saved, but “being saved.” That’s the
same thing the Roman Catholic Church teaches.

Let me say it again. The King James Bible is pro-Christ and the other
versions, including Beth’s favorite, the NIV, is pro-Roman Catholic!

(There are many other passages the NIV omits, either in part or whole
verses. Space will not permit dealing with that at this time. Suffice to say, it is a
PERVERTED VERSION though it is popular with the religious world.)(I will
send you a list of the verses the NIV omits upon your request.)

ATTENTION!!! All you Beth Moore lovers, don’t quit on me now, we
are just getting started. I have read and gleaned through over eight hundred
pages of her materials just to help you “stay out of her PIT.”

In her book, Get Out of That Pit, Beth talks a lot about setting you free
from a pit. She once was in a pit herself, but she now claims to be a “former pit
dweller.” She never really tells you what that pit is. She indicates it could be
several things, including some of your family or loved ones who keep you from
doing what you really want to do.

While Beth claims to love the Word, she is seemingly confused as to
what the Word of God is. Rather than submitting her life to the Bible, she
makes the Bible fit her lifestyle. Any self-righteous, self-serving, and self-
centered person does the same thing. She talks a lot about herself; her waking
up in the morning, her coffee, her shampoo, her mass of hair, her highlights,
etc. Get the picture?

She promises you can get out of that pit “once and for all,” but in her
book she has made many trips back to said pit herself, over and over again.

On page XI of her acknowledgments she thanks her “faithful Savior, for
pulling me out of the pit and risking Your name on me.”

Are you kidding me?
God doesn’t take risks! He is not a gambler. He knows the beginning
from the end.

Page 4

After reading and skimming over 800 pages I have not found her
teaching anything on a woman’s place in the home. The one subject God tells a
woman to teach and she avoids it like it was the plague. I did
not see anything on Titus 2:3-5. (I also asked her in the June letter if she had
any materials on the subject of a woman’s place in the home. By the
information they sent the answer is, you guessed it; No.)

She makes a reference to Ephesians 5:26-27 about husbands loving their
wives, but she completely avoids Ephesians 5:21-24 about wives submitting
themselves to their own husbands.

Do you think submission is one of her “pits” she has trouble with?
You will find her making reference to Abraham and Sarah, but she says
nothing about 1Peter 3:1-6. She seems to avoid passages that deal with wives
submitting to their own husbands, having a meek and quiet spirit, adorning
themselves by being in subjection to, and obeying their own husbands.
Do you know why she avoids it?
I’m glad you asked. That kind of thing DOES NOT SELL! If the subject
is not POPULAR it will not be PROFITABLE, and at $21.99 a book she is
raking in a lot of dough. If she sold only 100,000 copies that’s $2,199,000. I am
sure she far exceeds that, and that is just one of her many books. However,
world wide traveling, hair dye, motels, fine dining, shopping sprees, on the road
entertainment, and Starbucks coffee is expensive. God warned us about those
who “through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of
you:...”
(2 Peter 2:3)
One day her riches will cry against her. (James 5:1-5) While her husband
may enjoy the money and material benefits provided by his wife, he too will
give an account to God for not being in his place as a man.
The Lord Jesus Christ preached one sermon to a crowd of 5,000 and they
all forsook Him and fled. (Except for the twelve and one of them was a devil).
Beth teaches a crowd of 5,000 and they weep, grab their wallets, and buy
a book!
The same crowd that wanted to CRUCIFY CHRIST wants to crown
Beth. Something’s wrong with that. The world hated Him, but they love her. Do
you know why? It is because the world loves their own. (John 15:18-19)
On page 197 of her book, Get Out of That Pit, she talks about a “praise
dancing” in the office. “Suddenly I heard music coming from that front office.
Music with a beat you could feel in your bones. Then I heard the pounding of
stomping feet. They’re dancing! I said to Nancy. Let’s go Join them.”..... “We
ran into the front office where we joined our sisters,

Page 5

and all of us-Baptist, Methodist, and Lutheran for starters-sang, praised, and
danced to beat the band.”

(Sounds spiritual don’t it?)
NOW PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!
ALL RELIGIONS may dance to the same MUSIC, but they WILL NOT
dance to the SAME MESSAGE!
All three religions she was dancing with believe in a different way of
salvation. The Bible makes it clear there is but one way. “Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord, Lord...” (Matthew 7:21-22) Read the text for yourself.
This crowd professed to know the Lord. They were preaching in His name,
casting out devils in His name, and doing many wonderful works in His name.
Listen to what Jesus told them. “And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:23)
You can talk a good story, dance to the music, and still die and go to
Hell!
You had better pay attention, and know “how that Jesus Christ is in you,
except ye be reprobates?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)
Religions of the world hated and killed the Prophets and Apostles of old.
Concerning CHRIST, the same crowd cried CRUCIFY HIM!
They hated Him because of His message. He testified of the evilness of
this world and named false religions.
The same kind of crowd that hated Christ, dances with Beth to the beat of
music.
Are you getting this yet?
Beth admits to being a people pleaser on page 73. She uses psychology to
make people feel good about themselves without repentance. Don’t you just
love her? I know you do. She makes you feel so “awesome!” She makes you
love everything and everybody, and every version of the Bible, and every
lifestyle of humanity. (Adulterers, fornicators, liars, cheaters, non-Church
attenders, queers, drunkards, dope addicts, all religions, the WORLD, the
FLESH, and the DEVIL). You just love it, love it, love it, everything, except
the command of God.
While Beth makes you feel good about yourself, the Bible lays a demand
at the heart’s door. When Job saw himself in the light of the Word he said, “I
abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:5-6) When Isaiah saw the
Lord he said, “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips,
and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips:” (Isaiah 6:5)
It is obvious; Beth has a different effect on people than the Bible does.
Perhaps she is promoting “another Jesus... another spirit...another gospel...” that
God warned about in 2 Corinthians 11:4. God warned us there would be
“deceitful workers” transforming themselves into the

Page 6

Apostles of Christ. Even Satan is transformed as “an angel of light” and his
ministers as “ministers of righteousness.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

God designed a woman for His particular purpose in the home. Her
attitude, attention and apparel is to be that which becomes a woman
professing godliness. Ladies, part of your battle will be in submitting to the will
of God in accordance to the Word of God.

In her work book A Woman’s Heart... Beth uses Deuteronomy 8:4, 29:5
and talks about God making our clothes last, but she does not use
Deuteronomy 22:5. The reason is obvious. She likes to dress like a man. She is
a britches-wearing woman who likes to clad herself in blue jeans.

Here is a woman who has trouble with authority. She is not happy with
being a woman, wife, mother, and homemaker. That just is not enough for her,
but in order to do more she had to go outside the Bible. Besides, being a
dedicated homemaker is not nearly as glamorous as traveling extensively and
enjoying the spotlight of the religious world. Therefore, she picks out verses
and twists them to endorse “her ministry” while she avoids those passages that
expose her for what she is really doing.

It is no wonder she calls God a “ control freak!” (p.121 Get Out of That
Pit)

Did you get that?
She tries to laugh it off on the next page.
There is nothing “freakish” about God. What kind of person would even
think so?
A person that ignorant about God would not think twice about calling
Jesus a virus.
What?
That’s right, you guessed it, on page 171 she calls Jesus a virus.
This woman has real problems and thousands of silly women look to her
for spiritual leadership. Many of them have their husbands reading her materials
for help.
What? Are you kidding me?
No, I am not kidding.
These men are not just HOUSEBROKE they are HENPECKED as well.
Come on fellows! Stand up and be a man! Take charge of your home, and get
your family under some real Bible preaching that the gates of Hell cannot
shake. God told you to take command of your house by the Word of God. Quit
being a SISSY and STAND UP and be a man for God.
About now someone is going to tell me Beth’s husband has given her
permission to be in the ministry.
Well, God bless you, YOU POOR DELUDED SOUL!
Here’s a news flash! A HUSBAND DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO
GIVE HIS WIFE PERMISSION CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD!

Page 7

When Beth gets through with a woman’s mind, she becomes dependent
on her. She cannot listen to her husband unless she checks with Beth. She will
not listen to her pastor; all he has is a Bible, and after all, they no longer need
the Bible, they have Beth. Yes sir, they have
traded the Bible for Beth, and boy do they feel “awesome!” They no longer
want to live in their place as godly women. Now that they have Beth, their place
as commanded in the Bible seems like a pit, and they are ready to break free.

Beth takes many passages out of context in order to make her point. In
Mark 6:19 she uses the quarrel of a wicked woman against John the Baptist to
try and teach forgiveness.

WHAT?
Herodias was a Hell bent, Hell bound, God cussing Heathen. She did not
need to learn to forgive John the Baptist, she needed saving.
Herodias hated John the Baptist because she hated the Word of God that
he preached. She considered John and the Bible a pit, and she wanted to break
free by having his head in a charger. (About now that’s the way some of you
feel about me.)
Don’t give up on me now. It is going to get worse.
Beth warns about too many “feel good” sermons while she is a member
of one of the most liberal churches in the country.
She condemns hard Bible preaching, (though I doubt she has really heard
any) as getting bruised or battered. She then compares the preaching of the
Word to a weekly weight-loss meeting where someone told you, you are too fat
without encouraging you to lose weight. She compares going to Church and
hearing preaching to a weekly beating. (Pages 116 and 117 of Get Out of That
Pit.)
I used to feel that same way, BEFORE I GOT SAVED!
She is offended because, she “stumbles at the Word.” (1 Peter 2:8) “Great
peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” (Psalm
119:165)
The Word blesses the child of God, but it bruises Satan. (Makes you
wonder whose child she is, feeling about preaching as she does.)
I suppose Beth would have a preacher follow her example. He should
talk about himself for about thirty-five minutes, and if he mentions sin at all, do
it in such a way no one will even notice it. Everyone can leave feeling good
about themselves. Since Beth likes to wear the pants, maybe she would feel
better if the preacher wore a dress.
The truth is, Beth only likes the Bible when she is doing the preaching. I
have seen her on television, wearing blue jeans, walking around a glass looking
pulpit, and preaching to ladies with a few men mixed in. (So much for that
“meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.” 1 Peter 3:4)
(So much for 1 Timothy 2:12.)

Page 8

In the sight of God, a woman with a meek and quiet spirit is a GREAT
PRICE, not a Loud Mouth woman looking to preach!

She goes on to tell us your car may bring more comfort and direction
than Christians in the Church.

She then tells you how much she loves the Church.
Really?
DUH? (Are you an idiot? She only throws that bit about loving the
Church to dumbfound the simpletons.) (If you bought it, I TORRY, but you
TOO-OO TUPID, for me to talk to, so go on back to sleep.)
I am guessing Beth is a VERY INSECURE person. She keeps trying to
resell herself on her own product. You will find her trying to sell it to herself
over and over again in her book. However, the main thing is for her to SELL it
to YOU. That is where the money is and as long as you keep buying it, she will
keep selling it to you.
According to her husband in the foreword of her book, they were both in
bondage to “alcoholism, betrayal, abandonment, depression, rage, sexual
addiction, and almost anything else you can think of...” (Page XIII)
It seems they have had to work out many conflicts between themselves.
Do you want to know the impression I got from her book about her
husband? (I know you do.)
Here it is. AS LONG AS HE STAYS IN LINE, EVERYTHING WILL
BE FINE!
When it comes to the subject of the Foundation, Beth is as confused as a
termite in a yo-yo. The Bible makes it clear there are two foundations- one is on
the rock and the other on the sand. One is the foundation of man that will not
stand the test of time, the other is the “foundation of God” that standeth sure
and is sealed. (2 Timothy 2:19)
There is no wonder she is confused about the foundation. That is what
happens when you use a bible that is pro-Roman Catholic. She says, “The
ground beneath our feet will be only as firm as our resolve.” “God gives us a
firm place to stand, but we have to decide we want to take it.” (Page 161)
THAT IS NOT TRUE!
The foundation is Christ. “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit,
out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
(Psalm 40:2)(This was her text verse and she did not rightly divide it!)
Our Rock is not the same rock of the world. (Deuteronomy 32:31)
Anyone who is upon the foundation of Christ will abide the storms. The house
fell not, “for it was founded upon a rock.” (Matthew 7:25) The storms came to
the house, but it “could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.” (Luke
6:48)
I may be shaking, but the FOUNDATION WILL NOT!

Page 9

Beth talks a lot about being abused, though she does not say exactly what
the abuse was. Did someone make her behave as a child? Did she suffer mental
abuse, physical abuse, or was it sexual abuse?

Whatever it was it put her deceased Mother “out of sorts” with her. Her
mother suffered much depression because of it till her dying day.

I am sorry for Beth being “abused,” but she should have KEPT HER
MOUTH SHUT, or named the abuse and the abuser.

Her Mother was right. No one should cast doubt on the entire family and
protect the one who is guilty.

Beth tries to console herself by putting words in the mouth of a broken
hearted Mother who is now gone. (Pages 171-179) She explains how people are
hurting and she wanted to help deliver them.

The truth is, when she had the opportunity to make things right with her
Mother, she did not, and now it is too late! Momma’s gone.

Is Beth Moore a Christian?
According to the Scriptures, No. I do know she speaks a lot where God is
silent, and is silent where God speaks.
She is a lover of MONEY and has healed the “HURT” of people
“slightly, saying Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” (1 Timothy 6:10,
Jeremiah 6:14) She has made promises to the LOST religious world that the
Lord did not make. Any person who professes to know God and keeps not His
commandments “is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1 John 2:4)
She does not rightly divide the Word of Truth, and I know she has some
real haunts that a “Starbucks Cappuccino” will never be able to fix. (Page 207)
According to the Scriptures she is out of her place as a woman, and those
who follow her same line of thought are foolish. I would suggest to any who
follow her erroneous teachings to believe the Word of God, repent, and turn
from her HERESY.
I realize Beth will probably continue on as she has in the past. If God
awakens her it will cost her much fame and fortune. If He does not, Hell awaits
her. Like the Roman Catholic Church, I may not be able to CHANGE her, but I
will not give an account to God for not having CHALLENGED her either.
God says, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her
sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4)
Salvation is free, for everyone who will receive it and everlasting to those
who do. Salvation is in a person. His name is the only name under heaven
whereby we must be saved; it is The Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His Blood and
His alone, that we are redeemed.
We are commanded to, “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a
trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their
sins.” Isaiah 58:1

Page 10

Being saved puts us in the battle against the world, the flesh, and the
devil. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.

A saved woman ought to enjoy being a lady like God created her to be.
She ought to look like, act like, dress like, walk like, and talk like a lady, and
thank God for the privilege.

God created a woman to compliment her husband, not to be his leader,
nor to be in competition with him.

If you find no joy in being in your God given place as commanded in His
Word, something is wrong in your heart. Do not let a liberal thinking modernist
rob you of your honorable place as a godly lady. Part of your God given place is
to be a keeper at home, not a career minded religious roadrunner. (Titus 2:5)
You will not be sorry you obeyed the Word of the Lord.

Most likely you will have a real battle from time to time fulfilling your
role as a woman. That is part of your punishment from the Garden of Eden.
(Genesis 3:16) Doing right is not always easy, but it is always right. It has
nothing to do with a pit. It is a common battle of life.

When the battle is over we will be HOME!
