In the first round of the 48th District
Tournament. the Lady Cards defeated
Somerset 43-20. They won the District
by defeating Pulaski Co. 54-39. [n the
12th Region Tourney, Laurel defeated
Wayne Co. 52·41, Garrard Co. 60-41,
and won the Region by once again
defeating Pulaski Co. 53-49. The
Lady Cards then went state.
However, they were defeated in the
first round by only one point, 39 to 38.
