Why FROM -

The short film festival deals with the idea of promoting the Roma theme as a basic artistic challenge, but also to change
the existing perception of this nation, which is deep in the cliché, which is passed down through generations, and as such
becomes an image of objective reality. Through film screenings, of different film forms, the audience has the opportunity to
witness a different culture and way of life in general.

The aim of the FROM festival is to shed light on different perceptions of Roma and the Roma community, as well as to European
contribute to a kind of paradigm shift among Roma, who have not yet used their social and cultural potentials in comunication Film
with the social majority and other communities in order to establish policy of “equal opportunities”. This type of artistic
dialogue tries to partially eliminate reasons of existencial collapse of this people, to reduce or completely prevent it, and to Festival
eliminate the causes of poverty and discrimination, which most of Roma citizens experience. Palić

The short film festival with the “Roma theme” is a contribution to public policies, which regulate education, employment,
housing, health, social protection, education, as well as creating preconditions for norms and institutional conditions for the
actual improvement of their social position. This festival is focused on other areas in which the established goal should be
achieved, such as solving problems related to the exercise of human and civil rights (subsequent registration in the Birth
Register, Citizenship, personal documents and other documents), as well as the problems of refugees and displaced persons,
strengthening the position of Roma women, improving the culture of Roma, but also their empowerment to participate in
all segments of public life. These topics are the occasion for the festival, which should show and direct the flows of social
inclusion of Roma in a dispersive and different ways. Film as a medium of various genres offers ways of delivering opinion and
creates the illusion of live and direct conversation in the form of game, documentary, factography, dreaming, ideals, and in
accordance with such “ascension” we want this festival to be in a family of social presentations with an emphasis on author’s
understanding of the needs of those who perceive their work.

The festival is based on the principles of formally visible and invisible which are reflected in the notion of inclusiveness,
decentralization, rationalization, economy, efficiency and affirmative action under the strong influence of the interclurality
spotlight. “Isn’t that enough for a projection? This issue is related to the possible realization of these principles, which serve
the purpose of solving huge problems and doubts of the “Roma topic”, which have been unambiguously appearing in the
strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia since 2016. These questions refer to the paradigm of the Strategy for Roma
Inclusion, ie its strong social, economic, political, institutional foundation, and arise from the specific nature of Roma poverty,
which obviously provokes the authors. This festival shows a direct projection of the accumulated problems. So far, the festival
has been supported by excellent directors and actors, film critics, film theorists such as Slobodan Šijan, Janko Baljak, Goran
Paskaljević, Ivan Velisavljević, Marko Kostić, Dragomir Zupanc, Ivan Karl, actresses Danica Maksimović, Ana Sofrenović and
others.

ZORAN TAIROVIĆ

Zoran Tairović je multimedijalni umetnik iz Novog Sada. Završio 2020 FROM, Mali Iđoš
je Likovnu akademiju u Novom Sadu 1992. godine. Doktorirao je
interdisciplinarne studije menadžmenta u primenjenim umetnostima.
Njegovi filmovi bili su prikazivani i nagrađivani na festivalima širom
sveta, uključujući i FID Marselj, Lugano, Kustendorf, Martovski festival.

Zoran Tairović is a multimedia artist from Novi Sad. There, he
graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1992. He holds a PhD in
interdisciplinary management studies in applied arts. His films have
been screened and awarded at festivals around the world, including
FID Marselj, Lugano, Kustendorf, Martovski festival.

DANIJELA STAJNFELD

Danijela Stajnfeld magistrirala je na Akademiji za film i pozorište Univerziteta umetnosti
u Beogradu. Za svoj rad dobila je priznanje kritike i publike u Srbiji, gde je rođena. RUPA
je njen rediteljski debi, premijerno prikazan na Filmskom festivalu The New Filmmakers
NY 2016. godine, a prikazan je i na Women Behind Camera projekcijama u Los Anđelesu.
Danijela je borac protiv seksualnog nasilja i članica RAINN-a.
Danijela Stajnfeld earned her MFA from The Academy of Film and Theater at the University
of Arts in Belgrade. Following that, Danijela achieved critical and commercial acclaim in
film, television, and theater in her home country of Serbia. THE HOLE is her directorial
debut, premiered at The New Filmmakers Film Festival NY 2016 and has been featured at
the Women Behind the Camera screening series in Los Angeles. Danijela is an advocate
sexual assault and a speaker for Rape and Incest National Network (RAINN).

RADIONICA FILMSKE KRITIKE

Počevši od 2015. Radionica filmske kritike ima cilj da od Festivala evropskog filma Palić stvori mesto okupljanja filmskih kritičara, urednika i
novinara kako bi razmenjivali znanje, iskustvo i davali savete mlađim kolega iz cele Evrope. Radionica je organizovana uz podršku Filmskog
centra Srbije a namenjena je mladim filmskim kritičarima koji periodično objavljuju svoje kritike u lokalnim i međunarodnim časopisima.
Učinak Radionice – članci, intervjui i kritike filmova prikazanih na Festivalu evropskog filma Palić objavljuju se na Festivalskom i sajtu Filmskog
centra Srbije.
S obzirom na trenutnu situaciju u vezi epidemije Kovida – 19 Radionica filmske kritike na Paliću okupiće 10 obećavajućih mladih studenata iz
Srbije. Radionica je počela kao mesto okupljanja radi promišljanja nekoliko tehnika i koncepata koji omogućavaju dubinsku analizu filma kao
i njegovog predstavljanja publici. Ovogodišnji program obezbediće polaznicima radionice tehnike pristupa uvek promenljivim pokretnim
slikama, a ujedno će biti i uvod u vizuelni esej kao oblik kritike koji ne poseže za pisanom reči a pokriva glavne aspekte odnosa prema filmu.

FILM CRITICS’ WORKSHOP

Starting in the year 2015. Film Critics Workshop aimed to make the European Film Festival Palic a gathering place for film critics, editors
and journalists with the goal to exchange their knowledge, experience and advice their younger colleagues from the Europe. Workshop
is organized with the support of Serbian Film Center and aimed for young film critics who periodically publish in local and international
magazines. The results of the workshop - articles, interviews and reviews on films presented at European Film Festival Palic are published
at Festival`s and Film Centre Serbia`s website. Due to the current situation with covid-19 virus epidemic, workshop will be organized with
participation of 10 promising young film critics from Serbia. Film Critics Workshop 2020 is conceived as a meeting point to reflect upon the
several techniques and concepts that allow a deep analysis of cinema and its presentation to audiences. This year’s program will provide
tools to the participants on how to approach the always changing moving image, will also function as an introduction to the visual essay as
a form of criticism that has no need of the usually prevailing written word and cover the main aspects of programming films.

174 Pozorišni muzej Vojvodine i Sterijino pozorje, povodom pedeset godina
umetničkog rada i Sterijine nagrade za naročite zasluge na unapređenju
European pozorišne umetnosti i kulture (2019) dramske umetnice Svetlane Bojković,
Film priredili su izložbu Svetlana Bojković ‒ umetnost glume ili traganje za
Festival istinom. Izložba je posvećena bogatom glumačkom radu Svetlane Bojković
Palić u pozorišnom, televizijskom, filmskom i radiodramskom stvaralaštvu, ali i
2020. njenom pedagoškom i društvenom angažmanu.
Postavkom izložbe Svetlana Bojković ‒ umetnost glume ili traganje
za istinom upoznaćemo javnost i podsetićemo je na umetničku
karijeru i doprinos ove naše dramske umetnice pozorišnom, filmskom,
radiodramskom i televizijskom stvaralaštvu i kulturi naše zemlje. S obzirom
na to da je Svetlana Bojković ostvarila značajne role koje su doprinele njenoj
umetničkoj veličini, verujemo da će izložba to na najbolji način predstaviti
i potvrditi.
U realizaciji izložbe korišćeni su materijali koji su svedočanstvo umetničke
karijere Svetlane Bojković. Ono se zasniva na bogatoj i raznovrsnoj građi
koju čine: dokumenta, nagrade i priznanja, audio i video zapisi predstava,
televizijskih i radio-programa i filmova, plakati, programske knjižice,
fotografije, skice kostima, kostimi, nagrade i sl. Istraživanje i priređivanje

Svetlana Bojković – The art of acting or the search for truth

The Theater Museum of Vojvodina and Sterijino Pozorje organized an exhibition Svetlana Bojković - the Art of Acting or Searching for Truth
on the occasion of fifty years of her artistic work and 2019 Sterija’s Award for special merits in the improvement of theater art and culture. The
exhibition is dedicated to the rich acting work of Svetlana Bojković in theater, television, film and radio drama, but also to her pedagogical and
social engagement.

Artifacts used in the realization of the exhibition are the testimony to the artistic career of Svetlana Bojković. Exhibition is based on a rich and
diverse material consisting of: documents, awards and recognitions, audio and video recordings of plays, television and radio programs and

European Udruženje građana Žanka Stokić, Rabrovo i Centar za kulturu Veljko Dugošević, Kučevo, raspisali su konkurs za izradu portreta
Film glumaca zarad stalne izložbene postavke Velikani srpskog pozorišta koja je otvorena u Maloj sali Doma kulture u Rabrovu.

Palić Budući da je velika srpska glumica Žanka Stokić značajan deo života provela u Rabrovu, mestu u kome se od 2002. održavaju
2020. Pozorišne svečanosti Žanki u čast, ukazala se prilika da se na jednom mestu objedine velikani pozorišne scene Srbije, kroz
stalnu izložbenu postavku, portretima glumaca koji su ostavili neizbrisiv trag u istoriji srpskog pozorišta i filma.

Kao odgovor na konkurs pod nazivom Velikani srpskog glumišta pristiglo je stotinu radova od kojih je 61 uvršten u izložbu.
Izabrani radovi svojim kvalitetom ispunjavaju kriterijume konkursa, svojim izrazom, snagom, psihološkom uverljivošću daju
svojevrstan omaž ljudima teatra koji su svojim delom obeležili epohu.

Izložba Velikani srpskog glumišta ove godine gostovala je u mnogim gradovima na značajnim pozorišnim i filmskim festivalima.

The Greats of Serbian Theater

Non government organization Žanka Stokić, Rabrovo (Serbia) and Cultural Center Veljko Dugošević, Kučevo (Serbia), had announced
a competition for making portraits of actors for the permanent exhibition The greats of Serbian theater, which was opened in the
Small Hall of the House of Culture in Rabrovo.

Since the great Serbian actress Žanka Stokić spent a significant part of her life in Rabrovo, the place where Tribute to Žanka Theater
Festival has been held since 2002, it was an opportunity for us to unite the greats of the Serbian theater scene in one place, through a
permanent exhibition, with portraits of actors who left an indelible mark in the history of Serbian theater and film.

In response to the competition called The Greats of Serbian Theater, about hundred works arrived, 61 of which were included in the
exhibition. The selected works, with their quality, meet the criteria of the competition, with their expression, strength, psychological
persuasiveness, they give a kind of homage to theater people who, by their work, marked the epoch.

This year, the exhibition The Greats of Serbian Theater was a guest exhibition in many cities at important theater and film festivals.

2020. Tema je u skladu sa aktuelnom situacijom sa pandemijom korona virusa, a najčešće izgovarana rečenica jeste da u “danu posle” ništa neće biti
kao što je bilo. Kada strah od zaraze više ne bude preokupacija, preovladaće ekonomska nesigurnost kod svih, pa i u ženskom preduzetništvu.
A kako opstaje žensko preduzetništvo u ovom pandemijskom vremenu, da li je i kako država spremna da ih finansijski podrži, koliko im pomaže
njihova intuicija i snalažljivost, da li će neki slučaj biti inspiracija za snimanje filmova, pa i dokumentaraca na temu npr. cirkularne ekonomije
svojstvene ženama, jer je u pitanju briga o životnoj sredini...

Preduzetnički, ekspertski, novinarski, filmski... pogled na ovo, daće se iz različitih uglova, a panelisti su:
