Apoteoza ovozemaljskog života
Iako živimo u epohi epidemije jednog od najopasnijih virusa u istoriji čovečanstva,
suočavamo se sa drugim, ne manje dramatičnim problemima u našoj životnoj
sredini.
Ovaj program i dalje pokušava da osvetli autorski pogled na dominantne i
neuralgične ekološke teme današnjice. Prevedeno na filmski jezik, dobro
odabrana i angažovana tema u sadejstvu sa likovima i rediteljskim senzibilitetom
uz još neke značajne sastojke čini dobar dokumentarac.
112 U ovogodišnjoj selekciji, izdvajaju se filmovi nastali ženskim rukopisom sa mnogo
poštovanja prema esenciji ovozemaljskog života u svom čistom pojavnom obliku.

The apotheosis of earthly life
Although we live in the era of the epidemic of one of the most dangerous viruses
in the history of mankind, we are facing other, no less dramatic problems in our
environment.
This program continuously tries to shed light on the author’s view of the dominant
and neuralgic environmental themes of today. Translated into film language, well-
chosen and engaged theme in collaboration with the characters and the director’s
sensibility, along with some other important ingredients, makes a good documentary.
In this year’s program, films made by female authors stand out with a lot of respect 113
for the essence of earthly life in its pure form. I am talking about of the women on
both sides of camera, both the protagonists and the directors. European
Directors of KIRUNA, WHEN TOMATOES MET WAGNER, THEN COMES THE EVENING, Film
through visual refinement, proper treatment and empathy, make even ordinary
people become bigger than a cruel life in which they are often only extras without Festival

treatment of both global and seemingly local themes in current environmental
documentarism.

za najbolji studentski film. Njenih filmovi, u potrazi za identitetom, na

Fest Award Greta Stocklassa was born in 1993 in Opočno, Czech Republic. She
comes from Czech-Swedish family. She grew up in Prague and
Stockholm where she graduated from Södra Latins Gymnasium. In
2013, she started studying in Prague at the documentary department
at FAMU. In 2015, she made it to the short list of best student film prize
Magnesia Award. The main theme of her films is identity, and her work
is on the edge of documentary, fiction and experiment.

Martin je diplomirao filmsku režiju na praškoj FAMU, nakon čega se
FESTIVALI/FESTIVALS okreće dokumentarnim filmovima. Debitantski Vote For Kibera! je
2020 Visions du Réel 2018. osvojio Nagradu publike na Ji.hlava IDFF-u. Martin trenutno
pohađa doktorske studije na Institutu međunarodnih odnosa
bazirajući svoj rad na postkolonijalnom identitetu sirotinjskih kvartova
i gradova u zemljama “globalnog juga”.
Martin received a degree from FAMU in Directing Fiction but soon
after he started focusing on documentaries. His debut film Vote For
Kibera! won the Audience Award at the Ji.hlava IDFF in 2018. Martin
is now studying for his PhD degree at the Institute of International
Relations where he dedicates his work to the postcolonial identity of
slums and cities in countries belonging to the Global South.

Ono što nas, ipak, još uvek inspiriše i intrigira su lični autorski svetovi često zaodenuti u intimizam koji pobeđuje dominantnu i agresivnu

Naročito kada su u pitanju filmovi obeleženi ženskim senzibilitetom 2020.
U ovogodišnjem programu dominiraju upravo takvi filmovi, od introspektivnog Paris Calligrammes doajenke Ulrike Otinger, filma
Norhern drift, koji nas u prvom licu jednine Aleksisa Destopa, u maniru saspensa upozorava na geopolitička strujanja na dalekom
severu Evrope , do filma Punta Sacra, debitantkinje Frančeske Macoleni, poetičnog portreta jedinstvene socijalne zajednice na jugu
Italije, nedaleko od mitske Ostije u kojoj je stradao P. P. Pasolini.

What still inspires and intrigues us, however, are personal authorial worlds often clothed in intimacy that overcomes the dominant and
aggressive media image of the contemporary world.
Especially when it comes to films marked by female sensibility
This year’s program is dominated by such films, from the introspective PARIS CALLIGRAMMES by the doyenne Ulrike Ottinger, then NORHERN
DRIFT, which in the first person singular of Alexis Destoop, in suspense manner warns us of geopolitical currents in the far north of Europe, to
the PUNTA SACRA, by debutant Francesca Mazzoleni, a poetic portrait of a single social community in Southern Italy, not far from the mythical
Ostia where P. P. Pazolini perished.
If we add two films on Russian themes - TOWN OF GLORY, a grotesque image of militant youth in the light of the World War II tradition and
WOMEN’S DAY - a unique homage to the heroines of Soviet feminism by Dolya Gavanski, we have before us a panopticon of contemporary
European documentaries.

sceni.
Ulrike Ottinger was born in Germany in 1942. She worked as a painter
and photographer in Paris from 1962 to 1968. She founded the Visuell
film club in Konstanz in 1969, and led it until 1972; she also founded
galeriepress, an art gallery. Alongside her film work she is also present
on the international art scene.

Annom Shishovom-Bogolyubovom, snimio je dokumentarni film 2013 St George Monastery
ON THE EDGE, gde je bio i direktor fotografije, za šta je i nagrađen 2012 Other people’s children

After acquiring his law degree, Dmitry Bogolyubov graduated from
VGIK, the documentary and TV production workshop. In 2013 Dmitry
won Russian national cinema and TV award Strana for his documentary
NEGLECTED. Together with his wife, a director Anna Shishova-
Bogolubova they made a documentary ON THE EDGE where Dmitry
was a DoP and got a prize Saint Anna for best cinematography. He is a

Frančeska Macoleni je rođena 1989. u Kataniji. Diplomirala je 2015.

2020 Nyon Visions du Réel - Sesterce kratkometražni filmovi i dokumentarci (NOWHERE, LO SO CHE MI

Born in Catania in 1989, Francesca Mazzoleni graduated from the
Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome in 2015. Her short

several awards at film festivals. Mazzoleni also worked as an assistant

London. As an actress she has worked with leading directors including
Michael Winterbottom, Angelina Jolie, Trevor Nunn. WOMEN’S DAY
is Gavanski’s directorial debut. Her previous film as a co-director
GOLOS: UKRAINIAN VOICES won Best Documentary Prize at London
Independent Film Festival.

Reditelji su ovaj događaj rekonstruisali usred rimske kontroverzne
racionalističke arhitekture kao pokret nove rase koja uključuje izbeglice
i imigrante, s pravom na ‘slobodu kretanja’.
Evoking the Olympic marathon in Rome 1960 in which Ethiopian Abebe
Bikila won Africa’s first gold medal, running barefoot and becoming a
sporting legend and symbol of an Africa freeing itself from colonialism
in the process, the artists have re-contextualized this amidst Rome’s
controversial rationalist architecture as a new race involving refugees and
immigrants staking a claim to ‘freedom of movement’.

“šaljivdžijom nedelje”. Postepeno se udaljava od porodice, a njegovi
pokušaji da to spreči su uzaludni. Erikova depresija se pogoršava i baca
ga u vrtlog, prisiljavajući Erika na očajnički vapaj za pomoć.
Night after night Erik works alone in his bakery. His only company is the
late-night radio show, which he persistently attempts to get through to
to be honored “Joker of the Week”. He has gradually become more and
more distant to his family, and all his efforts to re-establish the connection
seem in vain. A growing depression hurls Erik into a tailspin, that in the end
culminates in a desperate cry for help.

School is over and there’s a bustle in the air. In Porto, tourists fill up the
streets and cafés. Vicente moves around town on his bike, watching the
urban landscape modify day by day. The town is no longer the same, the
world is changing and so is he. Among his family and friends, Vicente lives
with anticipation of the first days of summer and the beginning of a new
life.

diktature rumunskog vladara Čaušeskua. Mirna noć jednog oca
pretvara se u pravu agoniju kada shvata da je njegov sinčić poslao
pismo sa željama Deda Mrazu. Kako je dete razumelo – očeva želja bila
je smrt Čaušeskua.
On the 20th of December, 1989, a few days after Romanian dictator Nicolae
Ceausescu’s bloody repression in Timisoara, a father’s quiet evening turns
to sheer ordeal as he finds out that his little son has mailed a letter of
wishes to Santa. As far as the child understood, his father’s desire was to
see Ceausescu dead.

Festival Projekat FILMY stavio je u fokus razvoj filmske publike i filmskih radnika u prekograničnom regionu realizacijom tri vrste
Palić aktivnosti: 1. Filmska edukacija za mlade, 2. Razvoj filmskih klubova u prekograničnom regionu i 3. Saradnja dva filmska
2020. festivala iz prekograničnog regiona.
Uspešna saradnja dva filmska festivala nastavljena je i nakon završetka projekta te će u okviru 27. Festivala evropskog filma
Palić biti prikazana selekcija sačinjene od 2 filma iz programa 4. Žigmond Vilmoš Film Festivala koji će u Segedinu, Mađarska
biti realizovan u periodu od 08.09. – 12.09.2020. (www.zsigmondvilmosfilmfest.com).
O Žigmond Vilmoš Film Festivalu:
Segedin je rodni grad svetski poznatog, dobitnika Oskara Žigmond Vilmoša, koji je takođe i počasni građanin ovog grada.
Skoro stotinu godina star, sjajni Belvarosi bioskop u Segedinu je jedan od najstarijih tradicionalnih bioskopa u Mađarskoj.
Najveća sala sa pet stotina sedišta u bioskopu nosi ime Žigmonda Vilmoša od 2005. godine, zbog čega je on bio veoma
ponosan. Svaki put kada bi dolazio u Segedin, nije propustio da poseti “njegov bioskop”.
Pored ličnih veza, naš filmski festival inspirisan je veličinom Vilmosa Zsigonda u filmskoj umetnosti, njegovom čašću i
reputacijom. Kvalitet njegovog rada i njegov uticaj na sledeće generacije imaju isti efekat kao i cilj festivala - da skrene
pažnju na važnog ko-stvaraoca filmova, kinematografa.
“Imenovanje festivala jasno pokazuje da analiziramo filmove iz kinematografske perspektive. Međutim, od Vilmosa smo
naučili važnu stvar da se vizija i rad kinematografa ne može proceniti izolovano od drugih elementa. Najbolji primer toga je
upravo njegov rad. Ostvarivanje kinematografskih ideja mora se procijeniti uzimajući u obzir rediteljeve namere ili poruku
čitavog filma. Tako na ovaj način mi ne nagrađujemo samo kinematografski rad, već i filmove kao celine.”

partners in project FILMY – Film art connects young people, realized within Interreg IPA CBC program Hungary – Serbia. European
FILMY project focuses on development of film audiences and filmmakers in the cross-border region by realizing three sorts Film
of activities: 1. Film education for youth, 2. Development of film clubs in the region, 3. Cooperation of the two film festivals.
The successful cooperation between the two film festivals continued after the end of the project, so the 27th European Film Festival
Festival Palić will screen a selection of 2 films from the 4th Zigmond Vilmoš Film Festival that will be held in Szeged, Hungary Palić
from 08.09. to 12.09.2020 (www.zsigmondvilmosfilmfest.com). 2020.
About Zsigmond Vilmos Film Festival:
Szeged is the hometown of world famous, Oscar laureate Zsigmond Vilmos, honorary citizen of the town. Built almost
hundred years ago, marvelous Belvarosi Mozi in Szeged is one of the oldest traditional cinema theaters in Hungary. The
largest screening hall with five hundred seats, in 2005 was named after Zsigmond Vilmos, which made him very proud. He
never missed to visit “his cinema” every time he was in Szeged.
Apart from personal connections, our Film Festival is inspired by the significance of Zsigmond Vilmos for the film art, by his
honor and reputation. Quality of his work and his influence on younger generations has the same goals as the Festival – to
pay attention on important film co-worker, cinematographer.
“The name of the Festival clearly shows that we look at film art from the cinematographer’s perspective. However, we have
learned an important lesson from Vilmos – vision and cinematographer’s work cannot be evaluated separately from other
film elements. His work is the best example of this. Realization of cinematographer’s ideas must be in correlation with
director’s intentions and the massage of the film itself. This means that we award not only cinematographers but films as
a whole.”

*Vilmos Zsigmond, (Szeged, 1930 – Big Sur, California, 2016) was a Hungarian-American cinematographer. His work in
cinematography helped shape the look of American movies in the 1970s, making him one of the leading figures in the
American New Wave movement. Over his career he became associated with many leading American directors, such as
Robert Altman, Steven Spielberg (AA for Close Encounters of the Third Kind), Brian De Palma, Michael Cimino (BAFTA for The
Deer Hunter) and Woody Allen.

Zašto FROM -
Filmski festival kratkog metra bavi se idejom da promoviše romsku temu kao osnovni umetnički izazov, ali i da promeni
postojeću svest o ovom narodu koja je duboko u klišeu, koji se prenosi kroz generacije, te kao takav postaje slika objektivne
stvarnosti . Kroz filmski prikaz, različitih filmskih oblika, publika je u prilici da svedoči jednoj drugačijoj kulturi, načinu života
uopšte.

European Cilj festivala FROM jeste da osvetli različite percepcije pogleda na Rome i romsku zajednicu, kao i da doprinese jednoj vrsti
Film promene paradigme kod Roma, koji još uvek nisu iskoristili svoj društveni i kulturni kapital kod većinske zajednice i drugih
Festival zajednica u prvacu boljeg razumevanja, privatanja, ali i učešća u društvu, “jednakih šansi”. Ovakva vrsta umetničkog dijaloga,
Palić nastoji da se delimično otklone segmetnti urušavanja egzistencije ovog naroda, da se umanje ili u potpunosti spreče, i da
2020. nestanu uzroci siromaštva i dikriminacije, sa kojima se suočava većina građana romske nacionalnosti.
Festival kratkog metra sa ”Romskom temom” jeste doprinos i javnim politikama, kojima su uređeni obrazovanje, zapošljavanje,
stanovanje, zdravstvo, socijalna zaštita, obrazovanje kao i stvaranje preduslova za normative i institucionalne uslove za
faktičko unapređenje njihovog društvenog položaja. Ovaj festival je usmeren i na druge oblasti u kojima bi trebalo postići
utvrđeni cilj, kao što je rešavanje problema u vezi sa ostvarivanjem ljudskih i građanskih prava (naknadni upis u Matičnu
knjigu rođenih, Državljanstvo, lična dokumenta i isprave ), kao i problema izbeglih i raseljenih lica, jačanje položaja Romkinja,
unapređenje kulutre i informisanja Roma, ali i njihovo osnaživanje učestvovanja u svim segmentim javnog života. Ove teme
su povod za festival, koji bi trebalo da na disperzivan i drugačiji način pokaže i usmeri tokove društvenih uključivanja Roma.
Film kao mediji u raznim žanrovima nudi logiku iznošenja mišljenja i stvara iluziju u živom i direktnom razgovoru u formi igre,
dokumentarizma, faktografije, snoviđenja, ideala, i u skladu sa takvim “uznesenjem” želimo da ovaj festival bude u porodici
društvenih projekcija sa akcentom na razumevanju onih koji stvaraju, sa potrebom onih koje to stvaranje percipiraju.
Festival je zasnovan na principima formalno vidljivim i nevidljivim koji se reflektuju na pojam inkluzivnosti, decentralizacije,
racionalizacije, ekonomičnosti, efikasnosti i afirmativnih mera pod snažnim uticajem reflektora interkluralnosti. “Zar to nije
dovoljno za projekciju ? “ Ovo pitanje je u vezi sa mogućim ostvarivanjem ovih principa koji služe svrsi rešavanja ogromnih
problema i nedoumica “ romske teme”, koji se od 2016. godine nedvosmisleno pojavljuju u strateškim dokumentima Republike
Srbije. Ta pitanja se odnose na paradigmu Strategija za inkluziju Roma, odnosno njeno čvrsto društveno, ekonomsko,
političko, institucionalno utemeljenje, i proizilaze iz specifične prirode siromaštva Roma, koja očito, autore provocira. Ovaj
festival prikazuje direktnu projekciju nagomilanih problema. Do sada podršku festivalu dali su vrsni reditelji i glumci ,
filmski kritičari , teoretičari filma kao što su Slobodan Šijan, Janko Baljak, Goran Paskaljević, Ivan Velisavljević, Marko Kostić,
Dragomir Zupanc, Ivan Karl, glumice Danica Maksimović, Ana Sofrenović i drugi.
