Lockdown Learnings Living through the Lockdown During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were confined in our homes and restricted from performing outside activities, owing to the lockdown, which made our lives boring and dull. So my parents suggested that I should get involved in some skill building activity. The pandemic gave me plenty of free time as the mode of teaching had become online. I asked my parents to get me enrolled in some art classes. Soon, I joined drawing classes which happened thrice a week. I felt very happy and discovered that I had a keen interest in art. The art classes helped me in developing my creative skills. I showed my drawings to my teachers and was highly appreciated by them. Now, painting and drawing have become my hobbies. -Vanshika Gupta, IV-D How I Upskilled Myself during the Lockdown During the lockdown, a lot of people thought of learning something new instead of being grumpy and lazying around all day. I was one of them. I have always loved doing origami. So I started watching videos related to paper-folding crafts. I made things like ninja stars, flowers, foxes, rabbits, birds, inflatable balls, stars, Santa Claus and a lot more. Last year, I proceeded to make all of the Christmas decorations from origami itself. I still do origami and I don’t ever want to stop! -Ojasvi, IV SLiving through the Lockdown People adapt and become stronger during hard times. COVID-19 has taught us this. The pandemic has impacted our lives in various ways. We have all had our share of good and not so good experiences of it. While my world became physically smaller, my online world expanded. The pandemic taught me how to operate a laptop independently and helped me develop my communication skills effectively. During this time, I learnt to be creative even with limited resources. I became eco-friendly. I cut down my usage of plastics and recycled used bottles and newspapers. It was really fun to turn old things into new, useful things. I also spent several hours writing short stories and poems. Here are a few lines from one of the poems I wrote: Do not stop, For life must go on… See the sun, see the moon. They have seen many changes. But they are still going strong. So do not stop. For life must go on… I learnt how to make chocolate! I mixed dark and white chocolate in equal quantities and gave it different shapes. Now, I am an expert in making chocolates and my family members call me ‘Chocolate-Boy Shaurya’. I also learnt about gardening and painting. I recited mantras, did exercises and yoga to keep myself active and strong. The pandemic has taught us an important lesson that life must go on and we must keep calm even during times of adversity. -Shaurya Tripathi, IV-A

Thank You Everyone I am so thankful to those who make my life easy and help me become a better person. I want to say thank you to the helpers who keep our school clean, and the bus driver who ensures I reach school on time. I want to thank the conductor who keeps everyone cool on the ride to school. Also, to the guard who keeps us safe while we gain knowledge every day. Oh! And how can I forget my Principal Ma’am who ensures the best for our school every year. Back at home, my dear mom takes care of me despite all my tantrums. Thank you mom. Thank you to the didi who cleans our house, and the bhaiya who irons our clothes. Also, to the guard who doesn’t fall asleep and keeps us safe from all the thieves. I want to end by saying, “Thank you all for everything”. - Chintan Koul V-B Just Being Thankful Gratitude is a feeling of thankfulness or appreciation for what we have. Gratitude helps us become optimistic, overcome adversity and strengthen our relationships. When we feel grateful, we also feel happier, we sleep better and have less stress. I am thankful for everything that I have; whether small or big. I am thankful to God for giving us everything. I am thankful that we don’t have any physical disability. I am grateful to my family as they give me so much love. I am thankful to our teachers who give us knowledge so that we become good human beings. Nature also gives us so many things – life, fresh air and water. I am grateful to the security guard as they protect us all day and night. I am also thankful for the tasty food we eat. We should not say things like, “I don’t have this. I wish I had that”. We should be thankful for everything that we have and should not complain. - Ranveer V-B BE GRATEFUL TO BECOME GREAT! Save Nature We should not run behind luxury, Or else our life will become a misery. Always follow the rule- Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. This will save nature, For a bright and pleasant future. - Sanaya Singla IV-A

I always wanted to thank you, Mom, but I did not know how to thank you, as you have done a lot for me. You always care for me, even when I am in the middle of a crisis. You always take my stress away. You never let me cry, You comfort me when I am scared. When I am wounded, you take my pain away. When I see your beautiful smile, my sadness goes away. Even when you are angry, you lend me your support. Even when you are sad, You show me your smile to exhort. You are the best, Mom! I love you, Mom! I wish that someday I can pay you back for all that you have done in my life, For making this world a better place for me, And for filling it with joys and happiness that I everyday derive. Kathryn Choudhary V-A THANK YOU, MOM! I want to thank the Indian soldiers, who protect us from our enemies. Many of them have sacrificed their lives in battles. We enjoy our festivals because we know that they are guarding the borders and protecting us. I want to thank those doctors and nurses who were the frontline warriors during the pandemic and worked day in and day out attending to the needs of the Covid patients. Many of them even sacrificed their lives in the pandemic. I want to say ‘Thank You’ to all my teachers because they help me become a better person and help shape my future. I am grateful to all these people for I am who I am, because of them. Aastha Rastogi V-A Being a doctor is a noble profession. I am really thankful to doctors as they cure us and make us healthy. They make us feel better and save our lives. They are kind and sensitive to our needs. They listen to our issues with patience. They take care of our health and guide us to eat healthy food, drink a lot of water and get a lot of exercise. Their schedule is unpredictable as they have to attend to patients anytime whether it is day or night. They stand on their feet for long hours for us. So, don’t forget to show a little extra love to doctors and always remember the reason why we should be thankful to them. Saying, “Thank You” is a great way to show your gratitude. Athak Singh V -C Thank you

Today was my first day of school, I learnt many things and they were very cool, It felt really nice, Just as cats feel after catching mice. Ms. Anshul Saxena is our class teacher, She is an absolute discipline keeper, She is very funny and kind, She is the one who will teach us science. Supriyanta Ma’am will teach us Hindi, On her forehead she wears a big round bindi, She would never compromise her principles of discipline, And for her, breaking discipline is a huge sin. English will be taught to us by Nidhi Ma’am, Teaching children with interest is her only plan, Even while teaching she makes us laugh, We got a wonderful teacher in this class. Seema Ma’am will teach us Sanskrit, A great surprise after a long trip, A teacher like her you never have seen, So fantastic, by all means. Preet Ma’am will teach us Math, Seeing her as our teacher, I am glad, Whatever she teaches sticks to my mind like glue, It’s like God really made my wish come true. Vatsala Ma’am will teach us SST, It is the complete opposite of aerobics and PT, She is very sweet, beautiful and sometimes strict, In her class it's better not to play any tricks. Computer is taught to us by Shivani Ma’am, She is a combo of intelligence and glam, She is an expert in what she does, She is new but I give her an A+ . I have heard people talking about their schools, That they have horse riding and swimming pools, But my school is the best, no push or pull, Because my teachers here are wonderful. MY WONDERFUL TEACHERS Pavani Kalra VI-A THANK YOU, TEACHERS! Thank you dear teachers, for teaching us well, for helping us to rise up, even when we fail. For teaching us lessons, more precious than silver or gold, which will help us become strong and bold! For all your contributions, we want to thank you. Thank you teachers, for everything you do! Jeshua V-A As I lie in my bed thinking about my future, I wonder if it’s anything worth, Even though right now it appears far away and blur, I will face it and make it radiant, I concur. Always there thinking random thoughts, How does a butterfly fly? Can humans have wings? Oh yeah, there are aeroplanes for that! How does the sun rise? And do these beautiful flowers shine in the dark night? In the end, I always get astonished By my nurturing Mother Earth. I also wonder often when I lie down If I could ever repay my parents forTheir kindness and for giving me so many things To help me face challenges that life brings. At the end, all of it is just a thought, Casting a mere glimpse of myself. I always wonder if they’re worth it. But I love the reveries that I knit. Aamish VIII-A MY BED AND MY HEAD

Battles, nations, fantastical worlds, Animal hybrids and fictional birds. My brain is clouded with random thoughts, As the answer to the equation, my mind sought. Hundreds of theories, while I’m thinking Of riveting ideas, like a whole new world I am constructing. Finally, after an hour or two, My brain thinks, “Let’s solve this question too”. I take a quick glance, Once and for all, breaking the trance. While trying to solve the question, I say to myself, “Trances have no room in this examination”. Advait Dhoundiyal VIII-A What if, animals walked on feet, Running down the streets, Taking our food from us, And becoming curious. The tiger having our roasted chicken, As the rhino stampedes in Britain. The crow diving in for the grapes, As the chocolate is being taken by the ape. What if it happened, To our loved ones? The thought gives me shivers, And I remain stunned. Issac VIII A WHAT IF? FINDING THE SOLUTION A JOURNEY THROUGH THE SEASONS In a pristine meadow, there was a young sparrow. It perched atop the trees, And swayed in the breeze. It was pleasant spring, And she longed to sing. Sun kissed lilies in the serene pond, The sparrow and nature had an unbreakable bond. Fluttering her wings, she sought a shade of cool, And beneath the sun shone her wings, a golden jewel. It was a warm summer, And the sunset was a wondrous colour. The leaves fell, leaving the trees bare, And reminiscing the lush greenery, the bird was in despair. Orioles migrated, but the sparrow couldn’t come, The scarlet left the bird lonesome. What had yet to come, she knew not, As that desolate autumn was winter to become. Autumn ceased, and with it came a sheet of white, And the sparrow sang of its blues to the dark of night. The young sparrow cried no more, For the meadow she called home will blossom once more. This solemn white winter shall melt into spring, Perhaps the young sparrow will meet a birdling. Anirudh Saxena, VIII-A

A Christmas tree 4. What can you catch, but not throw? Ans. A cold 5. Why can’t a man living in New York be buried in Chicago? Ans. Because he’s alive. There are many thoughts that go through her head, As her mind drifts off while she simply sits on her bed. What she feels is a sense of pure bliss, And nothing seems out of place or amiss. Her mind reaches her happy place, The one that puts a smile on her face. Whether it’s a partner she is wondering about, Or becoming rich after working day in, and day out. It may be for just seeing her best friend with a beautiful smile, But for some, it could be for walking that extra mile. THE TRACK OF THOUGHTS MY REVERIES, MY MEMORIES Vanshika VIII-A Tarush Choudhary VIII-A Books are trustworthy, flowing with emotions and gestures. We often refer to them as our "friends". Sometimes all I feel like is sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee and my best friend—a book—savouring my 'me time', forgetting about all the worries in the world. Living the life described in books is all I need... I wonder what it feels like to be the main character. Nobody knows; we are so engrossed in what others think of us that we forget to focus on ourselves. I am the main character of my life, so why should I worry about being judged? We change to impress the people around us, but what about pleasing ourselves? Loving myself is the lesson books have taught me; being the protagonist of my own story is what they have inspired me to be. That’s why I call books as my bundle of joy and love, my biggest motivation to love myself. BOOKS My Bundle of Joy and Love Prati Singh IX-A

For most of you, the mischievous pranks you played with your best friend could be considered a core memory. It could also be a trip you took with a group of people you weren’t a huge fan of initially, but fell in love with eventually. My most cherished memory is like neither of those. The moment which I believe is the most important to me and which I will remember for the rest of my life is the moment I walked into my new class at Somerville International School. I was thrilled to be in a new city, in a new school and amongst new teachers and classmates – basically, in the midst of everything new. Well, I, personally, am a huge fan of changes and challenges. Walking into the new classroom and seeing 33 new faces made me realise that this was my time to shine. I could make a new, improved impression and socialise more. I could work on honing my personality and interact with people and learn so much here. I could become a better and improved version of myself, and hopefully inspire the people around me. Although the introductory speech I gave in front of the class helped me achieve none of my goals, I made up for it throughout the year. Now, 3 years later, I have the most amazing group of friends, who have seen me through my ups and downs, who are my biggest cheerleaders and who I can really be myself with. That step I took in VII-A three years ago has drastically changed my life, and I’m truly grateful for what these years have taught me. MY MOST CHERISHED MOMENT Ananya Koul X-A NO MEN ARE FOREIGN What is it that makes a person different from others? It might be the way they talk, look, interpret things, their opinions and so on; but, what’s the one important factor which brings out the similarity between all the people on Earth? It is the fact that we are humans. No matter where we are or what the situation is, we breathe the same way, walk on the same land, cherish our happy moments, are won over by love, and, at the end, are buried in the same land. If we are all the same, feel upset in times of distress and content when we achieve success, then why do we fight with each other? We are all similar; together we humans form a family, so why are we at each other's throats because of the mere borders that have separated us. Why do we let these borders overpower our feelings of brotherhood? I wonder if all the borders were to be removed from our land one day, would men still be foreign then? Yubika Ravi X - A 1. The Star Being a Satellite I wish upon what looks like a star but is, in fact, a satellite. My wish has been recorded and catalogued just like my previous wishes. I saw something white and bright coming towards me at a very high speed. Immediately, my mind, that had been influenced by so many movies, thought of it as a shooting star. Now, in a movie, when a shooting star passes by, we are supposed to make a wish. Something magical, something sweet. And that's what I was doing when I suddenly noticed it wasn't what I thought it to be. How my heart shattered. I knew what was going to come next. Another disappointment. Another one that has been recorded and catalogued just like my wishes have been. They move simultaneously. Both my wishes and my disappointments come true, one after the other. That thing which was so white and bright was a satellite. When it came closer, it didn't have the same spark that a shooting star does. Instead, it had a windy metallic look with the name of its company. It was too complicated to try to interpret what was written, and frankly speaking, I didn't want to put in the effort, so I let it be. However, one thing I can say is that this was the first time I saw a satellite this close with my own eyes. It wasn't something I was expecting in the first place, but this wasn't so bad either. My mother says, "Be grateful for whatever you're given in life" and "Everything in life happens for a reason." I am aware they are some of the biggest clichés out there, but I can't help but agree that they stand true. No matter what happens, however much you feel disappointed, moments of life are meant to be lived, not analyzed. It is good to be realistic, but it's magical to be hopeful. That is why whenever life throws in another one of its disappointments, like a star being a satellite, I feel low for a moment, but then I remember that everything eventually passes and so will this feeling. Photos Taken By Manasvi Photography is an art that I use to express myself. From trying to catch a glimpse of the big cat (all we found was pugmarks) to scanning for rare migratory birds - it’s one thrilling adventure. And to be able to capture those moments and see them later is truly gratifying. Trudging through mud and rain to find deer running and gorgeous insects is refreshing. For me, photography is something which helps me stay in touch with my outdoorsy and nature loving self, and embrace it as well. I think my interest in this art spiked because of my dad, who, believe me, always has his camera ready to capture some of our most treasured moments as a family (some rather embarrassing). Overall, photography helps me appreciate the smaller things in life, which I think is very important, especially at our age. Manasvi Agrawal XI-C Passion for Photography SHUTTERBUGS

Photos Taken by Shreyank “Photography for me is not simply looking at something and capturing it in a lens, it’s a feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at through your pictures.” My passion for photography started when I was around 11 years old. It all started with my trip to Goa. During the trip, I saw a lot of landscapes which left me dumbfounded. It was beauty at its best. Just then a thought struck me. I realised that I might not see such wonderful sights again. I wanted to preserve and cherish them for as long as I possibly could. So that was the first time I ever held a camera in my hands. The thought of being able to capture such amazing sceneries made my body tingle with excitement. One single click was all that it took. The fact that one single click from my finger could capture such picturesque and breathtaking sights left me astounded. I felt like an artist. An artist who could capture wonderful things with a simple click. The art of photography made me want to travel more. My passion and my need for thrill and adventure proved to be a great match for each other. I started clicking pictures of literally anything and everything that I felt was worth capturing. From aesthetic moments to mind boggling landscapes, I captured them all. It made me feel proud. It made me feel whole. There are times when I ask myself this question '' Is photography challenging? "' I hear my soul answer , "Well I was born ready for it." Shreyank Nair XII-B

Photography by Suhani Anand Bharti Photography for me is a passion for collecting memories. Being a biophilic, it’s nearly impossible to stop myself from capturing the nature in its original form and I guess this is the very reason why I happen to be good photographer and my love for art is what draws me to this. Only a true artist can admire the beauty in its raw form, and well this is all I do. Suhani Anand Bharti XII-A

Photography by Yash Kumar I use my camera to document and capture moments in life. Photography is one of my ways to express myself. Photos allow people to see little details that often get overlooked and give people various perspectives on life. It’s satisfying to be able to share memorable moments with others and also to simply preserve important milestones in life. Yash Kumar XII-A

FRIENDS FOREVER! I joined Somerville International in 2019 as a 6th grader. Aarna, my current best friend, and I were in different sections with no contact all together. However, while practicing for the musical 'My Fair Lady' we started to talk to each other. But, after the play, we didn't really talk as much. Then came the lockdown and we lost contact completely. But, eventually, our mutual interest in a variety of things connected us to each other. We have been friends for a year and a half now! Our friendship started off with weird incidents but, looking back, those are the memories we adore the most. Our friendship is filled with plenty of ups and downs, but we never regretted being friends - "best friends", to be precise. Aarna is pretty good at singing and is very fond of playing the guitar. Our conversations are mostly about teaching each other either singing or dancing and deciding the most accurate outfits and even captions for each other. We fight a lot, but it never changed the fact that while feeling low the only person we rely on is each other. It is just us and, most importantly, HER. She has been rock solid in supporting me at every step in my life. Her presence is what I look forward to every day in our class and the fact that bothers me the most is just that we won't be together ever again talking about the most random things after 2022 ends, since she's moving away. Nonetheless, she's my best friend, and I hope things remain that way! Prati Singh VIII-A Friends are people you can always count on whenever you’re in trouble. And in my case, whenever I get myself into one. Although all of my friends have been saving me from others, and more importantly myself, there’s one who always knows what to do. A white, Mexican-American blonde male, 5 ft. 8 inches and ranked 27, 28 and 20 worldwide in Olympiads for 3 consecutive years. He’s the captain of the football team in Masterman High School and the Vice-Captain of the basketball team. He’s not just a person for me; he’s a friend and the best one I’ve had so far. He is one person I know I can count on for advice and opinions. He makes my problems go away and makes me feel safe. His mere presence is the solution for my bad mood. He’s here even after having seen me at my worst. And no matter how much he annoys me or makes fun of me, I know he’ll be there watching and guiding me. Tyler isn’t just a friend I’ve left or who has left me behind. We’ve been friends from playgroup and martial arts classes, to parties and stressing over math tests. Even when he’s on the other side of the world, I know he’ll listen. And sometimes that’s exactly what you need, someone who’ll listen instead of judging you. I’m glad I met him and I know even when others leave, he’ll stay. Sanchi Sharma IX-A The most precious gift which you can receive in your entire life is a good friend. I met my ‘good friend’ Priyanshu on my first day of school. He came across as a person who was completely focused on academics. He had recently returned from New York and had difficulty in making new friends. We both were new to school and he became my first bench mate. Slowly and steadily we noticed our interests were similar and we became good friends. He is really good at public speaking and he helped me overcome my stage fright too. I was an average student in the class whereas he was amongst the top scorers. He surely did help me come above the average line in academics. Being a dance-lover, he is a big fan of the contemporary style. Towards the end of the year we had created a brother-like bond. Since then, he has always supported me. Though we have not met each other for about 3 years now (as he had to go back), he is still there to support me in everything I do. He is surely a friend with whom I am ready to face any kind of challenge life throws at me. Piyush Shankar VIII-B

Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness Collaborative Art Activity by SIS students A collaborative art activity was organised for the students of classes IX to XII in January 2022. The main objective of this activity was to not only give a channel to the students to unleash their creativity, but to also inculcate the spirit of teamwork, tolerance, respect and community building. The activity provided an opportunity to the students to display their artistic talent individually as well as collectively. The students gave their artistic instincts a free reign and their hard work came to fruition in the form of the fascinating murals displayed in our school foyer and in the form of the intriguing board made up of geometrical patterns and shapes, which adorns the wall of the Art room. Such activities are extremely important for the complete development of children’s personality as they learn and acquire values and principles which would help them in their life. What is hope? What is hope? It is a gift that we hold so very tight, when the world starts to lose its might. What is hope? What is hope? It’s a voice stuck in my ears. Then why do we fear? Because you have nothing to lose, dear. What is hope? What is hope? Hope is the fire to achieve our goals But, alas! When we lose, we lose our souls Hope is the only thing before which we bow But if we have no hope we simply let things go… Daksh Rajput X-A Hope is the spirit of life, Helps us face everything with a smile. It shines like a ray of light, To guide us through the night. Hope is the courage within , That never lets us fall. It is the force that keeps us motivated, To always tear down the walls. Let hope be the anchor. And guide you through life’s storm. Through it, you’ll find the answer, And the will to carry on. Himnish Jha X-A THE BEAUTY OF HOPE

WOMAN EMPOWERMENT "You educate a man, you educate a man. You educate a woman, you educate a generation." Women empowerment means making women powerful so that they can take their own decisions and lead a life of fulfillment. There is no denying the fact that women have been subjugated all over the world and more so in India, in the past. Be it opportunities or awards, men have always been given a better deal than women. History is replete with such data. Women have never been given freedom to make their own decisions. They have never been given the same salary as men for the same work. Gender bias for the type of work has always existed. She has been told from the very beginning to do certain duties because she is a woman. Women are not safe in India. Vices like honour killings , domestic violence , child marriage etc., exist here. No country can ever truly flourish if it stifles the potential of its women and deprives itself of the contribution of half of its citizens. We need women at all levels including the top, to change the dynamics, reshape the conversation and to ensure that the voices are heard and needed and not overlooked and ignored. I believe that they are already strong. What we need is to change the mindset of the society to accept their strength and give them their due. They have a heart and a soul. They have ambition as well as talent. They just need acceptance and opportunities. I am sure that the emerging women will be strong-minded, strong-hearted and strongbodied because today's women have understood that kind of power and potential. There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish. Anwesha Chandra XI-A

Through the city my eyes pass, Everyone busy working fast. Children used to play in the park, Are now buying arcade pass. People live like robots here, Look there’s jam here and quarrels there. Everyone running after money and fame, No family time no playing games. No time for family and friends, All they want is money never end. Through the city my eyes passed, Where everyone was busy working fast. Now I have reached a pleasant quiet place, Away from the traffic and fast pace. Now I have reached world’s another phase, Where the aromatic soil is the base. As far as my privileged eyes can see, I can only see fields green , The sky seems to be painted blue, But I know this place will be like the city very soon! THROUGH THE CITY Anger, commonly referred to as rage, is a powerful emotional condition characterised by a strong uncomfortable reaction, often uncooperative in nature, as a response to annoyance, hurt and threat. Anger is our reaction to certain situations in life. It’s a normal emotion experienced by everyone, but when it becomes uncontrolled, it can have severe negative impacts on our well-being and relationships. Anger management is a process that helps individuals recognize, understand, and manage anger in healthy ways. This involves recognizing our triggers, taking breaks, seeking support, practicing self-care, using relaxation techniques, and developing healthy coping mechanisms. In addition, when feeling angry, taking a small break and resolving the issue later is proven helpful. Acting out of anger is never the answer. By using and applying these techniques, we can effectively manage our anger and lead a more emotionally balanced life. ANGER MANAGEMENT Maisara .F. Siddiqui VIII- A Umair Kamal IX-A

As the sound of blasting came, From yonder came a fiery pellet, It hit a bright young man, Ending his life in vain. Beautiful landscapes and scenery, Overnight fire and brimstone it becomes, As came another ball of fire, Ready for another act of decimation. As another day came as a witness, To the abyss present on Earth, The poison rising from the Earth, Blocks the heavenly rays of the Sun. Millions of kilometres of trenches, Lay pressed inside the Earth, Millions of lives stay stuffed in there, More lay motionless on the hellish moor. This could all have been avoided, If we could have been wise, Taken the better option, And learnt to live a peaceful life. The landscapes could have stayed beautiful, The future of the world healthy, The air we breathe clean, And the sun, shining bright. With high hopes the poem concludes, That this may inspire us humans, To stop this never ending game of war, And to live in peace and harmony just as God desired. The Desire of God IX-A Diptesh

Life is not easy, it’s messed up, Sometimes we feel that we should give up, But that’s not the solution, It’s not the reason for your creation, It’s not defined that you will always lose, It just depends on what you choose, People will make fun of you even when you’re right, Because we see something which is not in their sight. My failure is one step closer to success, My courage nobody can suppress, We have to fight, we have to stay strong, The sad times cannot stay for long. When you are afraid of what the others will think of you, Know that you’re unique and so are the things you do. People will discourage you no matter how great you are, Because they know you have what it takes to become a star. Sometimes I feel lost and alone, But I know I can unturn every stone. There will be many obstacles in my way, But my hope is of brick not of clay. You know what they say life is, Full of surprises, grief & risks. But I am ready to face it all, Because in the end, I will stand tall. Either we cry that things don’t go right, Or rise again and touch the heights. Never fear anything in your life, Try again once, twice or thrice. LIFE Not everything is easy in your life, But you’ll have your friends and family by your side. After all I told you, please don’t forget, Future can be difficult, but you do your best. Someday I will shine, And the victory will definitely be mine. Some questions are asked that who we are? It has only one answer that WE ARE THE STAR. God has made something special in every soul to heal, You just have to find it, it’s something nobody can steal. You might have met those people, who about their greatness, keep on talking, You may be a slow walker but never stop walking. This I say to every boy and girl, Be the change you want to see in the world, People will always try to take away your glee, Because they see that spirit in you which you yourself do not see! A Walk in the Park I went for a walk in the park, And what a sight to behold! Birds and bugs taking rest Nature at its very best. Trees, flowers, bushes and herbs, Plants sprouting along the curbs. A hill on which lay a dog, Another wonderful creation of God. A bee went buzzing past my face, It seemed as if it was in a race. I was stunned by the beauty of the butterflies, In the banyan tree I hear the bulbul’s cries. O! what a wonderful visit to the park, My soul sings with praise, As I stand and marvel at God’s creation, A sight to behold!
