This word 'eved' means total commitment.

is that they can be called 'avdai Hatorah' - servants of Torah.
When we stand back and view our school - Yeshiva Toras

Chaim Toras Emes - a bastion of Torah, we see Dr. and Mrs.
Rubin as genuine servants of Hashem and Torah. Their

commitment and mesiras nefesh and support to our school
entitles them to be called 'avdai Hatorah'. May Hashem give
them 120 years of health, strength, nachas and happiness to

inspire us in this service of Torah.

Yet, Jeanette A"H is smiling upon us as she sees how

A close ‫חבר‬, an amazing Rebbe, and a true ‫עובד השם‬.
A rare individual who possessed ‫ שלמות‬in both heart and mind.

A tremendous ‫ תלמוד חכם‬who could simplify the most
complicated ‫סוגיא‬. He loved his family, friends and students with

intensity, and everyone loved him. He loved Yiddishkeit and
performed the ‫ מצוות‬with tremendous ‫שמחה‬. He transformed

our Beis Medrash into a striving ‫מקום תורה‬. He is greatly
missed.

May his ‫ משפחה‬have a ‫ נחמה‬and be blessed with ‫סייעתא דשמיא‬
in everything they do.

With his sterling character he hid his full greatness and unbearable suffering
from those who were closest to him.

He uplifted the spirit of the entire family by treating each member as an equal.

All benefited from his sage advice, which was given in the spirit and form that
he learnt from his Rabbeim to whom he clung. The manner in which he strived

to emulate his Creator was a wonder to all, in particular as he sought to help
the downtrodden and those who were misaligned.

‫י‬.‫ך ל ימינו נזכור את השפעתו הרוממת על המשפחה‬

All of our days we will remember his lofty impression on the family.

‫י‬.‫ד ברי הלכה שגורים היו בפיו לענות על אתר לכל שאילה בלי להסס‬
The words of Halachah were constantly on his lips and he responded to all
questions without hesitation.

‫י‬.‫ו התמדתו ידיעתו ודביקותו בתורה היה לאות לכל האחים והאחיינים‬

His Hasmada and knowledge of Torah were a symbol to all of his brothers in
law and nephews.

‫י‬.‫ד קדוקו במצוות הנובע מצלילותו בסוגיות למופת היה לנו‬

His preciseness in mitzvos, which came from the clarity that he had in the
complicated Sugyos, was to us a wonder.

decades, your family has stood for all that is right and good in

South Florida. Reb Norman’s music, sense of humor, and
adoration of the Yeshiva has been - and still is - legendary! Mrs.

Jeanette Levine, a”h, was the secret backbone behind the
growth of Toras Emes. How proud she must be right now
watching her family’s total involvement with the Yeshiva that
she so strongly supported, for which she tirelessly worked - on
payroll and off - and whose projects that she created are still
ongoing! Mrs. Talia - your understanding of and respect for
children have taken the ECE to unprecedented levels! You have

already accomplished so much for (y)our Yeshiva.
May Hashem grant the whole family endless Torah nachas from

In memory of a chaver, confidant and mentor,

Rabbi Dovid Sharfman, zt”l

Rabbi Sharfman’s absence in the Yeshiva has left a tremendous
void in the Bais Medrash and our entire community. His full
grasp of Halacha created a gravitational pull from so many to

gain his insights and psak in Halachic matters big and small. His
dedication to his talmidim was off the charts. Most amazingly,

he always found time for anyone who sought his advice. He
carried himself with utmost humility and was able to converse

on any topic that someone brought up to him.

May we all strive to emulate so many of his midos and
hasmodah and may his family and Eishes Chayil derive much
strength from the love that we had for Rabbi Sharfman and the

knowledge that we all share this great loss with them.

May he be a meilitz yosher for our entire community and
extended Yeshiva family,

Rabbi Sharfman‫זצ"ל‬

was a great talmid chachom and unique pikeach. He was an
irreplaceable mentor, confidante, role model, adviser and
close friend. I miss him tremendously. I still think about what
Rabbi Sharfman ‫ זצ"ל‬would say, what he would do, and try to

live my life accordingly.
May his neshamah have an aliyah because of his
