If I were Nancy Drew, I will also have mystical adventures with my friends George and Bess because it is fun to be with them and I am just like her. Most of the times, my friends and I create clubs and I created a detective club as well. I was also the leader of the club like how Nancy was to George and Bess. 316 |Shri Darpan One day in the night when Harry was just a baby, a scary guy named Voldemort came and killed Harry’s parents. When he killed them, he gave Harry a scar on his face. This scar made Harry famous in the town. Harry used to live with his aunt and uncle. Harry had a cousin Greg, who used to bully Harry about his scar. One day Greg teased Harry which made Harry very angry and his scar got activated. Greg was pushed to portal which led him into a garbage. Harry was surprised to see what just happened to Greg and realized he had magical powers from his scar. He then turned invisible using his scar to not get scolded by his aunt. Henceforth, Harry used his magical scar whenever he was in trouble. I love reading this book called The Demon Slayer. The main character is called Tanjiro Kamado. Tanjiro was a young boy who sold charcoal for a living. One day while he was selling coal he grew tired and went to some house to sleep but when he woke up he saw the man dead. He went back to his house to find that even his family was dead except Nezoko. Nezoko turned into a demon. After that he started attacking Tanjiro but he was saved. He fought and became the demon killer. -Oerik Ghosh, IIIH I love reading books. My favourite book is Dog Man and my favourite character also is Dog Man. If I was a Dog Man I want to be a cop like him. I would play with my best friend and his robot 80 HD. I like him for his amazing wit, humour, and extraordinary intelligence. I would like to share an incident that happened where I used my intelligence to solve the problem. We were on a road trip to Nellore in our car along with my father, sister, and grandparents. We had got down in the middle of the trip looking at a beautiful flower field and spent some time taking pictures. We then started for our destination and after 10mins or so realized that my sister had lost her watch. We weren’t sure where the watch was lost. I then used my intelligence to look at the photos that were taken since we started the journey. I realized that the watch was there in the pics that we took before getting down to spend time in the flower field, so we concluded that the watch was lost when we got down earlier. Back tracking the photos that were taken in the flower field, I was able to spot a smaller area where the watch was lost. Rest was taken care by my father, and we finally found the watch. Everyone appreciated me for my intelligence, and I felt so happy. -Srihitha, IIIG

317 |Shri Darpan My favourite book is Akbar and Birbal. My favourite character from the book is Birbal because he is smart and patriotic. One day Akbar and Birbal were taking a stroll in the royal gardens when Akbar happened to see some crows on a tree. Wonder how many crows are there in the kingdom, Birbal?” “There are ninety-five thousand, four hundred and sixty-three crows in our kingdom, sir.” Akbar looks at Birbal with amazement. “How do you know that?” “I am pretty sure your majesty. You can get the crows counted,” says Birbal confidently. “What if there are fewer crows?” asks Akbar sceptically. Jahanpanah, it means that crows have gone to meet their relatives in neighbouring kingdoms.” “Hmm… But Birbal what if there are more crows than the number you said?” “Well, in that case, crows from other kingdoms have come to visit their relatives in our kingdom.” Birbal’s reply left Akbar smiling. -Shivya Sahu, IIIG There are a lot of fictional books I would love to throw myself into a character. But I can't get over the odd, spectacular and a completely original imagination of J.K. Rowling. Well, no secret to friends that Harry Potter Series is my favourite book. Who would I like to be? To be honest, I like almost all the characters in the series but if I have to choose one. Well, It's the hero of the story, Harry Potter. Harry Potter, who seems to have everything you would want in a personloyalty, curiosity, fearlessness, determination, humility, wonder, love contentment. His character indeed leaves a lasting impression on my mind. Extraordinary thing about him is that he is a magician. He is a good quidditch player. Quidditch is a game for wizards, played while flying on broomsticks. The mere thought of being in his shoes is heady enough. The witchcraft, the wizardry! It would definitely get amazing friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. So, when I am Harry Potter, I will travel on Hogwarts express, see the mirror of Erised, I will take my invisible cloak and my beloved nimbus 2000 broomstick to go and see all the places I love all around the world. I’d ride brooms instead of school buses! What a refreshing change! The thing about Harry Potter is that he can’t use magic in the muggle world. That’s one thing that I’d do, use magic in the muggle world. Just for fun! Magic should be use for good and Harry does a super job of it! I’d

Sita was a kind and generous girl, she was clever and obedient. She had a dark complexion, and everyone used to make fun of her, and call her names, especially Gita. One day, Sita cried in front of god, saying, “God! What did I do? Everyone is making fun of me and calling me names because I am dark!”. The same night when everyone slept, including Sita, God changed the body colours of Sita and Gita. Now, Gita’s body colour is dark while Sita’s became fair. The next day, when Sita woke up, she was surprised that she was fair. While Sita was excited, Gita was shocked by her appearance, she was dark. When Gita came into the class, everyone started laughing, making fun of her, and even calling names. While everyone was laughing and doing other things, Sita didn’t, because she was very kind and generous. Sita consoled Gita, drew up the attention of the whole class, and said “It is not about the colour of the skin, but it is about how kind and good you are to others”. Everyone lived happily ever after and never made fun of anyone’s body colour. 320 |Shri Darpan Math Quiz Answers- -Ayush Chandra, IIIG How Did Bhavin Get Brave? When I was a small baby, I was very brave. When I was 1-year-old and just started walking, I was gifted a Ladybug toy. I was scared of that toy because it used to make a loud sound whenever it moved and flap its wings. I used to have a centipede toy which crawled and it was ferocious. I used to run from both of them and used to hide under the table. One day, both the toys fell on their back and stopped working. After I turned five, I came to know that I was scared of the insects for no reason and after that I became brave. I am now able to touch real insects without getting scared. - Bhavin Abhinav Nadava, IIIG

I have always wished to go on an adventurous mission like Collete, and I have dreamt of going on a mission that no one can even imagine because in that mission there is a lot of fun and mystery, I will now be telling you about my adventure… Once, there was an amazing and popular song, ‘Heat Waves’ and its CDs were completely sold out. A girl named Krisha bought the CD from a shop. Little did she know that was the last CD in town. In the town, there was a very small and cozy cottage, and there in the cozy cottage lived 3 Vikings who also loved that song and were looking for the CD but saw on the news that there are no CDs in town. Oh! I didn’t know that they reported that on the news! But anyway, back to the mission. Then the Vikings saw the girl on the news and they went out to search for her and luckily they found her. Oh! not so lucky for the girl because they were getting hungry so they bought 3 dozen hot dogs. Well, can you blame them? When you gotta eat, you gotta eat. They thought they lost the girl after that, she was hungry too so she also was going to buy a hot dog, then, suddenly, the Vikings turned around and they stole the girl’s bag, she started running as fast as she could, while the Vikings started throwing hot dogs at her, but she ran too fast and the Vikings lost her. They then realized why they wasted their hot dogs on that and burned so many calories on that, most importantly, why did they run if they had her bag with the CD in it in the first place? That was the first time they ever ran and hated it at the end. Did you enjoy my dream mission???? -Krisha Shroff, IIIH
