Matadores ('those who kill the bull') are easily seen wearing the gold color. The matador enters the ring alone with a small red cape and a sword. The matador uses his cape to attract the bull. If the matador gets it wrong, he may be killed or injured seriously by the bull. There is great opposition to the bullfight from animal welfare organizations. He was pink like Dragon fruit and his nose was small like a cherry. He said, “I have been stuck in this cook book for a long time. Can you take me out of here?” At the end of the book, it said “Make this pasta and I will let you out”. So, I boiled sphagetti, added tomatoes and peppers and it tasted just right. The Cake Monster was thankful and promised me a cake once a month! - Gouthami Madiraju, IIIA My Favourite Character from ‘The Two Gifted Brothers’ My favourite character from ‘The Two Gifted Brothers’ is the elder brother because he can warn someone when they are in danger. When she was about to lay down on the pillow, I stopped her. I took the pillow and inspected it. The pillow was poisonous, so warned her not to use it. 279 |Shri Darpan Getting The Life Potion from the Evil Dragon This is a story of my adventure getting a secret potion from the Amazon Rainforest. I had to be brave to get it. One day, I was sleeping and woke up suddenly. I thought “Why do I feel like the Magic Tree House is calling me?” Then I thought that if it’s calling me, I should go. I went to the oak tree forest, and reached the biggest oak tree and found the magic tree house on top of it. I climbed the ladder and went inside. There I saw Morgan Le Fay, the lady wizard. I asked her, “What do I need to do on this mission?” Morgan said, “You have to get a secret potion that will help me bring Merlin back to life.” Morgan gave me a glass bottle, a magical book and a paper. The book was named Dragons in Ancient Brazil. The paper had a riddle written on it, Potion of life guarded by mighty river and jungle, Get that and run before the earth begins to rumble. I read that riddle and pointed at the book. The tree-house started spinning very fast and there was a storm. When everything became calm. I found myself in the Amazon Rainforest. After searching for many hours, I found the secret potion in a giant pot. I was about to get the potion when the earth began to rumble. An evil dragon came and it was blowing fire. I felt brave and saw a golden sword at the bottom of a giant tree. I grabbed it and started fighting with the dragon. The dragon could not resist the strength of the sword and ran away. I filled the potion in the glass bottle and walked back to the tree house. I pointed to the magical book and said “I wish I could go home.” Then the tree-house started spinning again and I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I was back in the oak tree forest. I gave the magic potion to Morgan and climbed down the ladder. I went back to my home where my parents were waiting for me for breakfast. The adventure of getting the life potion was exciting. I was happy I could help save Merlin’s life. - Gopal Srivastava, IIIA The Thea Sisters Hello friends! My name is Thea. I am from 3A. I am 9 years old. There were a few footprints in the mud, leading towards river Chandrabhaga. I reached the river where I saw a wrecked ship with a submarine attached to it. Immediately, I boarded the submarine, started the engine, and went underwater to find the magnet. Underwater, I could see the magnet lying on the river bed. Olaf and Marshmallow are two examples. Elsa can manipulate ice to construct an ice palace, a stairway to its entrance, and even her ice-coloured gown. Elsa can change the ice’s colours to match her emotions as shown within her ice palace: blue when she is happy, red when she is

Sonic the Hedgehog is a Hedgehog who saves Green Hill.He is like a hero and knows how to do Ninja fights. So, Sonic the Hedgehog was in Green Hill and lived a happy life. There, was an egg crusher which Sonic can defeat. Sonic defeated with one spin dash. The next was that Dr. Robotnik was about to take the crystal, but when the spin dash of Sonic touched the crystal; they all went into the shatter space as shadow came. So, Dr. Robotnik changed Green Hill into New Yolk City. It was very unpleasant. Each of his friends was changed. Tails became to nine, knuckles became to Knux, Amy became to a robot with a name called Rusty Rose and Rouge became Rebel. The New Yolk City was Green Hill. So, first, the shatter space took to a place where they were various kinds of Sonic’s friends in a deep jungle. The second was Sonic was a pirate and the captain. But Sonic was the best hero in the world. It is just a fiction as you know. He has many powers to control. He became friends with the friends in New Yolk City. But when he jumped up and he saw that Green Hill was changed, he felt very bad. - Andrews Raphael Vanama, IIIC Hermione Jean Granger is a fictional character in J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter series. 291 |Shri Darpan Lesson to learn One sunny afternoon, me and my friends were playing in the garden. Suddenly a weird looking lady with a snake on her hat appeared and started talking to us offering chocolates. We all got so frightened by her appearance that we ran towards my house. We thought that she was a wicked witch that came to take us to some unknown place. I told this whole happening to my grandma. That evening when I and my grandma were in the market purchasing vegetables I saw the same lady with the hat, my grandma had a talk with that lady who in fact turned to be a kind hearted tribal lady in her traditional dress. Moral: Never judge anyone without knowing them. - Sanvi Vora, IIIB Magic for Good A few days ago I read a book called ‘My Little Pony; A Canterlot Wedding’, by Cindy Morrow. I am fascinated by the ruler of Pony Ville, the beautiful Princess Celestia who has magical horns. If I got a chance to be Princess Celestia, I with my magical and powerful horns would go around the world and help eradicate the dangerous Corona disease from everywhere. Also by saying the good magical spells in the ears of the evil people I would destroy the bad thoughts that come in their mind. This will help to decrease the number of crimes happening around the world. I would use my magical powers to make this world a beautiful and harmonious place to live in. - Vianna Mohta, IIIB My Favourite Book: Diary of a Wimpy Kid-Big Shot I wish to be the main character(greg) of this story. Greg, a little child, loved playing football. He tried how it is to learn a new sport and why everybody makes a big deal about the same. Greg used to like sports when he was in preschool. The coaches were really nice and made sure everyone got a chance to score. Now, Greg moved to kindergarten the coaches did not let him get away with the things he did in preschool. Now Greg is struggling to find new sport after he went to kindergarten. Since greg’s mom wants him to learn team sport once more he tries to rack his brain when he did something athletic. After the season was over with Dhruv patel’s coaching he was happy because he knew he could go back to his normal life. But the only person who could not let it go was his mom.
292 |Shri Darpan The coaching from Dhruv patel was good but he was frustrated because his team was not getting things quickly. Since his team was not getting points quickly, he made them run sprints and then after the season Greg’s mom came and showed a flyer she had printed out. It was about a 2nd chance tournament in basketball. After the 2nd chance tournament, he made a 1st BIG SHOT in his life. Once he made his BIG SHOT his mom let him go and he went back to his regular life. He felt happy that he finally made his BIG SHOT. - Vivaan Singh Rathour, IIIB Los saludos y despedidas - Sanvi Vora, IIIB -Aarushi Jarupla, III C

When the three of us went to find the ball in the forest, we were captured by an evil witch! The only way to escape is by using our brains and that was to solve a riddle else the witch will turn us into zombies! With my intelligence and bravery, and without any fear, I helped my friends by answering to the riddle and was able to escape from the witch. Do you know what I did then? I threw the poisonous potion on witch and we ran as fast as we could. My parents were really very proud me. But I showed grit, and saved my friends by staying strong. At the end it was good which won over the Evils. - Shanaya Verma, IIIC
295 |Shri Darpan Mrugavani National Park I was so excited on the day of my field trip. I got ready in minutes, I ate my breakfast quickly and hopped on the bus with my friends Mahita and Ishanvi. I talked to my friends about the field trip the whole time to the school. After reaching my school I went quickly to my class and I waited for my classmates to join us for the field trip. After everyone joined us, we got paired up with each other and I got paired up with Reyansh. After that we went to the cafeteria to eat our breakfast everyone was so excited that we ate very fast. After eating we hopped on the bus and the trip was starting. As soon as the bus started everyone was so happy to go to the field trip that they started talking to their friends about what they are going to do in the park and where they are going to play in the park. Me and my friend were drawing in her book and as soon as the bus stopped at the park all my classmates started rushing outside the bus but me and my friend waited for everyone to get down the bus after the head count was over the gates were open and we went inside the park and the first thing we saw was a rabbit and everyone was happy to see the rabbit and they were small and cute. After seeing the rabbit, we went to see the birds we saw parrot and butterfly. After seeing the birds, we went to see a museum there we saw models of deer, cheetah and different animals and when I saw the animals for the first time, I was scared but then my teacher told me that they were fake and there is no need to worry. After seeing the fake animals then we went to a theater to see a video about the park and we waited for the video to start but it had some issues with the video so we went to a garden and there we waited for the tour bus to show up and the bus finally showed up and a jeep also came and I went and sat in the bus and some people including mam sat on the jeep, then the bus started the ride after a while we saw many peacocks and deer but this time the deer were real and not like the models we saw before. After seeing that we came back to the same garden then we waited for mam and the people to come to the garden when everyone finally came, we went to see a snake show. Then we went back to see the video about the park by the time video was completed I was so hungry but luckily mam gave a lunch break. I ate my lunch quickly which was chapatti with butter. After that I played with my friends then we came back to our bus, and we were so tired that I was almost slept, then they gave mango juice for refreshments, then I quickly drank the juice and fell asleep after that when I woke up, we were already at our school. After getting down and going to our class I started to think about today and I discovered that today I learnt an important lesson. It taught me how to behave in the outside world, how to be with people and most importantly how to be with the people you don’t even talk with in your daily life, and this was a fun experience for me. - Sarvani Yerragunta, IIIC

Get sorted this is the scary part what if I get sorted into Slytherin!!!! {DU DU DU}, but I got sorted into Gryffindor so yeah. Then charms started then defence against the dark arts, positions, quidditch then finally we had lunch it was so good the chicken was cooked properly and the desert was stunning then Dumbledore gave a speech about the quidditch match on feb 29th and not to go to the forbidden forest the studied more then it was time for dinner I ate little because I was stuffed from lunch then I decided to explore tomorrow and check out some stuff. - Vanshika C, IIIC My favorite book is Cinderella, written by Charles Perrault. My favorite character is Cinderella. Cinderella is a story about a poor girl's acceptance of abuse that ends with a reward by a fairy godmother and wins a prince's heart. It's a gentle reminder to remain kind to everyone. I would like to be Cinderella so that I can be kind and helpful to people, whether or not I find a prince…I do like to dress up though. Cinderella’s story reminds us of a lesson in life that kindness will be rewarded whereas selfishness will not.

I was so excited to hear when our class teacher told us about the plan for a field trip to ‘Mrugavani National Park’. Finally, we will be able to go out on a field trip and enjoy! My father explained to me the meaning of ‘Mrugavani’, which is made from two words ‘Mrug’ + ‘Vani’, a jungle where dears live. The day had come when we were going for the trip. My mom packed snacks and juice for me. We were finally there at the park and what made it even more special was that we were going on a jungle safari.
