Godbeasts have existed before the Age of Myth and still do into the Age of Sigmar, but their experiences and status in the realms have shifted over time. The following are ideas on how to best include them and have adventures centred around them appropriate to the Age your adventure may be set in: Age of Myth: Godbeasts are prevalent throughout the realms, commanding their own kingdoms. The mortal gods are the upstarts and are attempting to supplant the godbeasts’ reign with their own. The Soulbound are sent to help trap or debilitate these godbeasts, so their god can finish them off themselves. Diplomacy is rare between them. Age of Chaos: As Chaos swells, Godbeasts are violently slain or corrupted, leaving behind powerful corpses, and those remaining are in hiding. The few Godbeasts still present are constantly under threat and hunted by Ruinous Powers, the Binding aid them in return for help in resisting Chaos. Age of Sigmar: Whilst most mortal’s lives hang upon a thread, Godbeasts have seen a resurgence, with some reclaiming their old territories as daemonic, undead, and mortal gods wage wars between themselves. Godbeasts are approached in diverse ways, from diplomatic alliances to binding their souls, and even outright destruction of their lairs, anything the mortal gods need for their larger machinations.
Whilst the included Godbeasts below are designed to be encountered during the ‘Era of the Beast’ period of the Age of Sigmar, each can be tweaked to better represent them during a different age. For example, if Banzannar existed during the Age of Chaos, he could be one of the last remaining godbeast rulers protecting his court against corruption when the Binding are sent to aid him and then seek it in return. Nyamis is only a rumoured godbeast during the Age of Myth and the Binding could be sent to seek them out and gain their favour.

This should be discussed in ‘Session Zero’ of your campaign.
