Sometimes, it’s a hard choice to pick an Endeavor that makes connections when other choices feel more of a priority. Considering the number of Allies & Contacts in the official material, the ones presented here, and the new Guilds introduced here, some GMs may want to give their players more opportunities to build these relationships. As such, the GM could give each player a free or additional use of the Contacts Endeavour for each week of Downtime. Maybe the player takes a break from their main task to chat to a local guild artisan at lunch or visits the restaurant of a famous chef for dinner, taking the time to connect with these unique people amidst their day’s tasks.

One possible way is giving each contact a ‘Relationship’ value out of five, and for each significant interaction or Contacts Endeavour taken, this can improve by one. At each stage, the contact might ask for smaller favours or give discounts to their services, potentially, whatever feels thematic to the Soulbound’s relationship and requests. This scene can be a fun breather between the main action of the quest. If players are enjoying it, let them spend time choosing outfits and consider giving them a bonus or penalty during the ball if they choose particularly appropriate or inappropriate outfits.

It is suggested to share the table with the players by printing it directly as seen here, rather than them or you copy it down, as this can result in miscommunication and errors, and will eat up game time.
