Culturally a Wanderer, Aeluros is the descendant of aelven refugees during the Age of Chaos and has grown with a sense of honour and duty. She is a veteran of several battles in Ghyran and Aqshy, but now spends her time working with the Coven protecting beasts recovered from poachers or chaos tainted expeditions. Her beliefs have manifested into a simple worship of Alarielle and Kurnoth, as well as a few of the Azyrian Godbeasts, which has led her to detest Tordenom and Azyrheim’s exploitation of the beasts that have endangered or altogether eradicated their species. Aeluros Parta has the Pathfinder stats (Wild Realms, pg. TBD) with the following changes: She is a Champion. She has a Ballistic Skill (+2d6, +1). She has the Point Blank Range Trait.

Encourage players to use the Help action if they are lacking skills useful for this situation or if the party is failing too many tests.

• • • SHAGGOTH DIFFICULTY Depending on the challenge you want to present the players, you can alter the Shaggoth in a few small ways. To make it easier, reduce the number of Toughness it has or have it taken some Wounds, likely from fighting the mercenaries from before. To make it more challenging, Galvanic Glicks or Lightning Shrikes may appear, attacking the Shaggoth and the party equally, adding some depth to player choice. During combat the Shaggoth will attempt to speak, but they sound like growls and are painful. With a DN 5:1 Mind (Intuition) Test, you know it has already massively wounded, seemingly affecting its ability to speak easily.

THAT’S A LOTTA RATS! Fighting this many NPCs in combat can be rewarding for your players, but it can easily overwhelm the GM managing them! Especially with the variety of creature stats to keep up with. Do not overwhelm yourself. As GM, you should also be having fun. As such, there are a few things that may help. Instead of making every roll for attacks that the players aren’t involved with (such as Skaven vs Beasts), you can roll a d6 and have that be Damage the creature takes that turn, until they are slain and move. Or you could choose to only bring in the same type of creature instead of many different ones, so they all act on the same initiative and use the same stats. Try to plan how you want to handle it and work in a way that’s best for you.
