2010

• Pastor Wong Ling Kee joined us as Chaplain on 2nd
January.

• Band performance and leading March Past during SMK
Bandar Sarikei Annual Sports Day.

• 4 buglers sounded last post for late W/O Allen Ting Geng

19th BB Pesta in Penang

2011

• Lt. Peter Tong King Ching was appointed as our new captain
until 31st December 2014. Lt. Jacob Ling Hau Ching as our
Honorary Captain.

• Sarikei BB Joint Council organised Fireman Course at Bomba
Sarikei.

• Pastor Wong Ling Kee left us on 31st December.
• We participated in the activities organised by Jabatan Belia dan

Sukan.
• SMK St. Anthony’s Platoon is started with the help of Miss Ivy Moh

Huong Chin.
• Officers and Nco’s were sent to SJKC Wah Man Platoon’s foot

drill.

2012

• Rev. Lee Wen Chieh joined us as our new Chaplain on
7th January but left us on 25th December

• Introduction of BB movement at SRB Su Kwong on 23rd
April.

• Setting up tents & BB materials for Exhibition at Dewan
Suarah during the State Level Teachers’ Day celebration
on 24th & 25th May.

• Took part in the Senarobik & Town Cleaning Campaign
on 25th May.

• SRB Methodist Anglo-Chinese Platoon started with W/O Tang Lay
Hua as teacher-in-charge.

• Rev. Kwan Choi Eng appointed as our new Chaplain.
• We are actively involved in most of the activities

organised by Kementerian Belia dan Sukan and Jabatan
Perpaduan.
• We took part in State Level Education Marching
Competition in Sarikei
• S/Sgt. Joseph Lee Ngan Hung received his President
Badge.

2013 ..continues

• Our company decided to help SIB church to run their BB
activities as well as SJKC Wah Man Platoon Boys
Brigade KK activities until they have officially and
successfully registered as 4th Sarikei Company in 2014

• On 3rd February 2013, 40 Boys and school platoon
members participated in the My Beautiful Malaysia
Community Service organised by Jabatan Perpaduan
Malaysia, Sarikei.

State Council Treasurer until 2014.

• Lt. Camillus Wong Yiik Chien resigned from the
Company as from October due to health factors.

• Rev. Kwan Choi Eng left us on 31st December.
• Junior Camp was successfully organised in SJKC St.

Martin.
• Capt Peter Tong attended the 50th Brigade Council

• Lt. Peter Lau Siew Teck was appointed as our new
captain. Lt. Peter Tong King Ching as Honorary Captain.

• Capt. Peter Lau attended BCM in Seremban.
• S/sgt Michael Chan Yien Voon obtained his President

badge
• Our boys participated in Perkhemahan PBB NGO SR

Peringkat Negeri Sarawak and obtained Johan in drill,
sukaneka, gajet.



2016

• 3 Years Service Badge were awarded to:
Cpl Kevin Yii and L/Cpl Samuel Yii

• Long Years Service Badge were awarded to:
Sgt. Daniel Wong and Sgt Benjamin Wong

• Our company was invited to witness the first BB 4th Sarikei
Enrolment Service on 02 October 2016.

• Capt. Peter Lau, Hon. Capt. Peter Tong, Lt. Jimmy Nguang, W/O
Aaton Ting and Chaplain Pastor Jonathan Lau Puong Fuang with 20
seniors and 20 junior boys attended the Joint Sarikei Founder’s Day
on 08 October 2016 which was held at SIB Church Sarikei.

2017

• We organised our Junior Leading Boys Training Camp
with guidance from Lt. Aaron Tiang, Sibu

• Chaplain Jonathan Lau Puong Huang had been planning
and mentoring our first Grand camping for Boys’ Brigade
and Girls’ Brigade and chaired by Lt. Wong Leh Bing

• Our company platoons had been awarded Gold Medals
in Drill Competition held at SMK Tong Hua.

• Mr. Lee Fouk Choe awarded Officer Silver Service
Medal.

• Chaplain Rev. Jonathan Lau Puong Huang left us at the
end of the year.

• A committee was formed to plan our 50th Anniversary
Celebration with Honorary Captain Peter Tong King
Ching as the Organising Chairman.

• Dutch of Edinburgh Award
Sgt Kevin Yii , Sgt Branden Sim , Sgt William Su,
Cpl Immanuel Sia, Cpl Simon Lau, LCpl Vincent Ling,
LCpl Michael Lu, LCpl Stanley Ling, Pte Albert Tiong,
Pte Vernon Teng gained bronze awards.
