ABSTRACT

Endemic shoe rack is more friendly to the environment compared to today's commercial shoe
rack. It is made from used ice cream sticks and used PVC pipes which is recyclable. As the
name of our product, it is made by focusing to reduce physical contact to prevent COVID-19
infection. The idea of this product came after the government announce Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP) that is encouraging less physical contact. As we know, Coronavirus can live
on any surface for several hours. Thus, we must disinfect commonly touched surfaces every
day including shoe rack. Currently, over 23,000 tonnes of waste are produced each day in
Malaysia. However, this amount is expected to rise to 30,000 tonnes by the year 2020. The
amount of waste generated continues to increase due to the increasing population and
development, and only less than 5% of the waste is being recycled. This is also a reason why
we use used ice cream stick and used PVC pipes as our main product to build the shoe rack.
Hence, this innovation could be a worthy creation - a changing innovation that leads to a new
healthy surrounding.

ABSTRACT
DEET, or N, N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide is the most common active chemical substance to be
used as insect repellent. But in contrary, people that have left DEET products on their skin for
extended periods of time have experienced irritation, redness, a rash, and swelling.
Occasionally, there have been reports of people having negative reactions after excessive
use of repellents containing DEET. These effects included seizures, uncoordinated
movements, agitation, low blood pressure, and skin irritation. Nowadays, a group of scientists
from the University of California, Riverside in the US had discovered that a compound in fruits
could be the safest repellent in the future. The contain of limonene and phenol in fruits act as
a repellent for bugs and insects which replace harmful chemical substances. In this case,
PYRUSPRITZ act as an effective solution to both harmful substance plus the usage of
organic waste to minimize harmful effects. In our study, we use condensation method to
extract phenol from pear and to get limonene from lemon. The goal of our study is to develop
a model of replacement and achieve a safe environment which free from harmful
substances, an eco-friendly insect repellent, and a money saving mechanism which use less
money on natural substances.

ABSTRACT
Many traditional technologies, such as refrigerators, TVs, washing machines, coolers, etc.,
have improved in the modern, globally interconnected world, while highways remain
primarily unchanged. Our "Avatar Highway" project aims to make highways more energy-
efficient, innovative, and safe. We are using vibration energy, for instance, to charge electric
vehicles. When using this technique, travelling on roads produces a significant amount of
energy in the form of vibration, which is completely lost. Additionally, cars will release
greenhouse gases that weaken the ozone layer and contribute to global warming. In a
similar manner, we tried using other kinds of energy on roadways using various methods
such as wind, solar, and other green energies, but it is way too costly. Aside from that, we
used photo-Luminescent paint, which charges during the day and glows in the dark, to paint
the road markings and, hopefully, can be used in place of streetlights. As a result, a highway
change is required to utilise green energy.

ABSTRACT

Over the years, the use of paper in our daily lives has continued to increase regardless of how
many revolutions we have achieved. Paper is still widely used for examination, office work and
not to mention, in the art industry. This means a large number of trees are cut down every day
to meet demand. The report shows the estimated global paper consumption is 421.88 million
sheets in 2018. Total consumption is approximately equal to the world’s annual paper
production. The number is very worrying as this leads to increasing as time goes by. The prime
goal of our innovation is to make good use of fall leaves that will eventually be useless and
invent technology to make paper produced from these leaves. We choose dried leaves as our
main source because the tree drops its leaves every day. Therefore, the number of dried leaves
will be higher than the number of trees. Hence, we can reduce the number of trees that are cut
down as the main source for making the paper is leaves. In addition, the Earth will also be
saved from any further damage by this way. Our solution would be making use of nature waste
which is dry leaves instead of logs to become new sources of paper. D-LIP will produce the
same quality as normal art paper made from logs but what makes D-LIP different is its color
which is brown colorish. As we all know, artists still use brownish colored paper to create art,
so we do not see any problems in producing it. D-LIP will be paired with white pen as it can
create an aesthetically pleasing looking paper. We use leaves from rubber trees mainly and
palm oil trees as it is one of the biggest plantations in Malaysia that generates our economy.
We will sell it D-LIP for RM0.55 each for a4 size with the weight of 300gsm.

ABSTRACT

Lutosphere is an innovation to help purify polluted rivers. As we all know many rivers in the
world nowadays have become polluted because of the chemical wastes released by factories
which can affect the ecosystems. The goal of this product is to improve the quality of
contaminated water by using natural resources and optimize waste for water purification. The
Product includes Effective Microorganisms (EM) which mainly help to purify the polluted water.
Microbes inside the EM consume the organic mass of the waste water and utilize the nutrients
from sewage for their growth. The bacteria inside the EM solution can increase dissolved
oxygen, stabilize water pH and also reduce odor. Besides that, the orange peels that we use are
one of the best biosorbent for ammonia and nitrate present in the water. Next, the coffee waste
is used to remediate water. Furthermore, eggshells are used as adsorbent to remove heavy
metals from wastewater such as Copper and Zink.

ABSTRACT
Durian is one of the most famous tropical fruits in Malaysia. Malaysians are obsessed with this
fruit because of its unique texture. Food and Agriculture Organizations (2001) reported that
Malaysia produced 292, 681 tonnes of durian in 2006 and these values have been increasing up
to 373, 084 tonnes in 2013 because of the high demand of durian. However, only 33% of the
fruit are edible while the remaining percent are known as waste. These abundant waste of
durian peels lead to improper decomposition waste in our environment. Improper separation of
durian peels with municipal solid waste contributed to the production of greenhouse gases
such as carbon dioxide. This can cause negative impacts in climate changes such as global
warming. In order to overcome the problem, we extract oil from the durian peels. Durian is
known for its strong pungent smell, this smell is its volatile compounds. So, we extract the oil
using Solvent-free microwave extraction (SFME) technique in order to save time, cost and
energy. We use three different types of durians which are Musang King, Durian Kampung and
D24 because these are the most wasted durian peels. Then, we run and test Gas
chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) on our essential oil in order to find specific
compounds and molecular mass in the three types of the durians. We find out that there are
antibacterial compounds and antifungal compounds. We also run an Antibacterial Susceptibility
Test to test the effectiveness of the compounds. Our result shows Musang King oil has the
most stable and suitable antibacterial compounds. We decided to use the essential oil to make
eco-friendly products that will have the same antibacterial function such as hand-sanitiser,
antifungal spray and petroleum gel.

ABSTRACT
Mop is an invention made to wipe floors and other surfaces. The invention of mop proved to be
very useful in our daily life. However, this invention of mop has a few flaws. For example, after
mopping the floor, the floor will be slippery and can cause people to slip and fall. This flaw of
mops is the problem that we want to solve by using our invention. Our invention, The Fast Dry
Mop, the mop that has a blower installed on it. This blower used to dry the wet mopped floor that
can cause injury to people who slip and fall. Besides having the advantage of drying wet floors,
our project also has the advantage of mobility. Most mops have to be dipped in soap water
which requires the user to bring a bucket of soap water to the area that needs to be mopped.
Our mop has a spray installed on it which helps the user to use the soap water without carrying a
bucket of soap water everywhere. Our target users are cleaners and janitors in places such as
malls, hotels and others.

ABSTRACT

Based on BP Statistical Review of World Energy (2019-2020), fossil fuels are classified into two
(2) resources: (i) coal; (ii) natural gas. These resources are the world main electricity
generators, including Malaysia. Nevertheless, coal and natural gas are estimated to last only 53
and 114 years, respectively. Renewable energy has already been prominent, yet many of the
advantages given have not been taken to stop this prognostication. Herewith, the team has
invented HydroSolis (HySo) as an alternative to solve these problems. Hence, the world can be
preserved from depending on these non renewable energy sources since the usage of these
finite resources will decrease to a minimum over the years of utilizing HySo. Evidently,
HydroSolis will be a beneficial project for the global community as HySo promotes the
application of rainwater potential energy alongside the well-known Mono-SI solar panel in
producing electricity to the fullest potential regardless of weather conditions. This original
invention would indeed be pragmatic and user-friendly for domestic usage since HySo was
backed by an automatic system: Single Board Computer (SBC), Arduino UNO (ATmega328P),
which helps in generating hydroelectricity. Economically, this forward-looking invention is very
worthwhile to be commercialized in all-around 13 equatorial climate countries since these
countries have a significant balance of sunlight and rainfall every day e.g. Malaysia. The duality
of the hybrid system in HySo will positively give a necessary boost and advancement in the
energy production sector, as HySo main goal is to outspread the exploitation of renewable
energies fruitfully.

ABSTRACT

Our world is facing many environmental problems such as plastic pollution. This issue is
caused by many factors including the over-consuming of plastic products. To make it worse,
this non-biodegradable material is discarded into oceans and other natural surroundings. In our
recent project for the School Inter-Club Innovation Competition in April-May 2021, we built a
house made of 100% plastic materials. We are thankful to attain a GOLD award. Now, we are
moving forward to another innovative idea to help solve our world from becoming a plastic
planet. Did you know that we can convert plastic into metal? Yes, we can. We have this great
idea of converting recycled plastic into Metal to make house furniture. Furthermore, the
tabletops, kitchen cabinets, the house, shelves, lamp post in the garden, and the children’s
playground can also be made from metal from recycled plastic. Amazing, isn’t it? Cheap,
practical, and environmental-friendly. The structures from cultured metal are made from
recycled plastic. Since we have too many plastics in the market, we need Incentive Industry to
expeditiously change recycled plastic to useable materials such as Metal. Due to these
reasons, we are inspired to share with the world the benefits of using cultured steel and metal
from recycled plastic by inventing IDECH, a multipurpose eco chair added with special
features like the solar charger and blue tooth. Let us help save the world from plastic pollution
by creating green furniture from recycled plastic materials.

ABSTRACT

The process of photosynthesis requires a substantial amount of sunlight. However, this
sunlight is being blocked by the sheer number of particles in the air from pollution. This
makes growing plants in big cities where pollution is a common thing an arduous task
especially if the gardener lives in a high building where the sun rays and space are limited.
The LED Greenhouse was created to counter this exactsituation by using artificial light to
substitute sunlight and to encourage more gardeningamong city dwellers. The materials used
for the LED greenhouse is a greenhousesocker, a red LED strip, some pots and seeds which
costs around 70 MYR. It worksas a normal greenhouse during sunny days absorbing sunlight
and absorbs artificial light during cloudy days which is better for plant growth. The reason
artificial light is only a substitute is because it uses too much electricity if solely depended on
and is only better at plant growth if used supplementally. LEDs are the chosen artificial light
since they are very efficient at plant growth and energy efficient. A study found that the colour
of artificial light affects plant growth so an experiment was carried out. It was found that the
plant grown by the red LED was the highest since chlorophyll strongly absorbs red light so it
was chosen as the colour of our LED. Our project is very marketable to homeowners because
of its small size.

ABSTRACT
It is estimated that at least 20-50 million people go on a camping trip each year and it is
increasing steadily as time passes. Of course most of them would come back with mosquito
bites which is kind of irritating. The reason being is that scratching mosquito bites just makes
them itch more and increases the risk of developing a skin infection. If you scratch too much
and break the skin open, a bacterial skin infection can develop. Besides that, camping outside
would make us have quite a hard time sleeping. This is caused by the noises of the wild animals
or bugs like crickets and cicadas. So we came up with a question, what if we could get rid of
both of them with one simple product? Introducing Mosquito Repellent with Heated
Aromatherapy or MRHA for short. With a height of 15cm and 8cm width, this product would use
a heating technology to repel the mosquitoes. The heat it emits will burn a small tablet of
mosquito repellent and simultaneously keeps our body warm while in cold temperatures. It
uses the energy that it saves in its own battery which has the capacity of 8500 MaH that could
last at least 1 ½ day between charges. Whilst it emits heat, it’ll also use herbs and turn it into
aroma so the aromatherapy would work simultaneously with the repellent. Our groups have
decided that the device would have 5 variations which are lavender, lemon eucalyptus,
peppermint, ylang ylang, and chamomile. Each of them would have different aromatherapy
effects and side effects for the body. According to our study this would greatly improve human
productivity for the next day. In conclusion, MRHA is a simple product that works well in
repelling mosquitoes while it also offers a healing aromatherapy scent for the wellness of both
physical and mental health.

ABSTRACT

The untreated kitchen wastewater generated from the commercial kitchen operation without a
proper disposal method has been causing numbers of sewage piping clogging cases in recent
years. The irregular schedule of executing grease trap maintenance will lower the efficiency of
removing fat, oil and grease and food residue in wastewater and automatically carry out the
cleaning maintenance task to the grease trap. Consequently, a pressing issue has happened
due to this problem, such as flooding, water contamination, and toxic gas release to the
environment. Seven components are integrated within our innovation: Lead Acid battery,
Arduino, Centrifugal mini-pump, water tank, hose, and Turbidity and ultrasonic sensor. We use
the "1⁄4 rule" of grease trap regulation implemented by using the pump to discharge the
wastewater to avoid exceeding 25% volume of grease trapped inside. As a result, the
autonomous grease trap has reduced the turbidity sewage value from 2305 NTU to 1269 NTU
after conducting maintenance 1 service. We implement the application of Internet of Things
(IoT) in maintaining our grease trap for live monitoring and accurately predict the failure of
devices based on the condition report from sensors to identify the failure patterns and
recognise the real problem inside the grease trap. Hence, our Autonomous grease trap resulted
in reduced maintenance cost and a more ergonomic and user-friendly interface for the user with
automatic functioning capabilities. The Autonomous grease trap wastewater removal is about
81.64%. Compared to a standard grease trap which falls to 50% after a few months of use. The
Autonomous Grease trap cleaning schedule is once every three months. It is convenient,
efficient, saves cost and fulfils the maintenance requirement according to authority.

ABSTRACT

Pollution. A word that is relatively synonymous with illegal human activities and undoubtedly
commonly used in our daily life. By definition, pollution is the introduction of harmful materials
called pollutants into the environment. Specifically, the pollutants that are caused by humans.
There are numerous issues regarding the sources, effects and how to overcome pollution which
are highly debatable for decades. Thankfully, nowadays, pollution awareness has spread across
the globe and people have started to realise the adverse and hazardous effects of pollution that
may be a threat to mankind if not handled carefully and immediately. Therefore, our group would
like to propose a project named Lil' Incinerador. Lil' Incinerador is a project that is derived from
the idea of how to reduce pollution, generate energy and handle waste effectively at the same
time. Lil' Incinerador is a mini version of a mega incinerator that had been developed previously
in certain countries. For instance, Sweden. Sweden is known for strikingly reducing the trash sent
to its landfills. Less than 1 percent of household waste finds its way to landfills, according to
Avfall Sverige, the Swedish Waste Management and Recycling association. The country recycled
about 1.4 million tons of waste in 2011 and 1.6 million tons in 2015. The country is also
increasing wind and solar capacity as part of its aim to 100 percent renewable energy by 2040
and to have net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045. Other than that, methane generated
from organic wastes in landfills is reduced. Therefore, our group came out with this idea to
innovise the size and authenticity of ordinary incinerators so that it is commonly available in
housing areas.

ABSTRACT
Natural disasters in the 21st century is a result of the pollution that creates a chain effect from
human activities that are damaging the earth and ecosystem. As an example, deforestation can
cause soil erosion and critical flash floods which later would increase the chance of landslides to
occur and flow into the river and killed the underwater ecosystem. The objective of this project is to
create a device that works as an indicator for early signs towards natural disasters, this device can
be used in preventing catastrophic natural disasters from happening in the future, and help the
United Nations in fulfilling their Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) number 14 Life Below Water
and 15 Life On Land. This smart project is powered by micro: bit, a small computer that can easily be
programmed. The micro: bit has a built-in thermometer, tremor sensor and buzzer. It is also
equipped with manufactured by ELECFREAKS the additional sensors consist of elements such as
Soil Moisture Sensor and Water Level sensor and the IoT:bit. The IoT:bit is an attachment board that
is used to allow microbit to connect to ThingSpeak. By using these sensors, it can detect real-time
and accurate information of the data. This project also applies the IoT technology by using the
IoT:bit. This device is also equipped with an OLED screen that would display the real-time
information of the data. Furthermore, this device can work as an early warning system by program it
to set off an alarm if the data elements condition or levels goes exceeding beyond or below the limit
setup. As an example if the micro:bit detects water level going more than the level that it should, it
could be a sign of floods in the area. In conclusion this device can be used to detect the ambient
temperature, soil moisture, tremor activities and water level in an area. Thus, not only it can work as
an early warning system but also can be used to monitor the nature’s condition.

ABSTRACT
The reason why we made this project to produce a greater number of papers by using only
wood waste. Hereby, logging can be reduced. Some of the issues me discovered are most
papers nowadays are not eco-friendly toward the environment especially toward human.
Besides, most of the countries do not have viable source of paper due to lack of resources
such as the quantity of tree needed. To begin the process of making the PEN2PER, we start to
prepare a mould and deckle. Next is to collect the residual of the pencil and graphite then
blend both items. We prepared a basin, fill it up with water and pour the mixture on the mould
and deckle in the basin and spread it out evenly. Lastly, wait for a few hours for the paper pulp
to dry. To sum up, this project is really eco-friendlyand lots of perk can be obtained by

ABSTRACT
About 3% of the water on earth is freshwater that we use for our daily necessities. Surprisingly,
a lot of freshwater is used in our bathrooms. Where most of it is for hygiene purposes. Thus,
the idea of reusing the water from our sinks in order to flush toilets surfaced, bringing us into
"Sink-Flush". This concept involves the combination of a sink and toilet working together as a
product that can reuse the water collected by our sink. Thus, not only will this be a step in
preventing excess use of freshwater in our bathrooms, but also lowering costs of filtering
wastewater which will greatly help us humans. Instead of leaving the greywater to go down the
drain after washing our hands, it could be used for flushing the toilets. Thus, the consumption
of freshwater could be significantly reduced in households and increases the water usable for
other necessary uses. In addition, this can encourage people to take care of their hygiene and
also lower the water bill in households. This concept of ours greatly favors the 6th goal of
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that is to ensure availability and sustainable
management of water and sanitation for all.

ABSTRACT
As technology continues to evolve with every passing year, perhaps it can be considered that
it has gotten too modern. As a result, there are groups of individuals that are left behind with
the times, due to learning issues when faced with new and modern technology, which are
extremely prevalent especially in groups of elderly people. This is due to reduced reactivity,
which is an issue that develops with old age and inactivity. For that reason, we have invented
a mechanical car called Solar Communication (S Commute). The aim for this contraption’s
existence is to help the elderly, the disable people and individuals that aren’t familiar with
technology to live their life easily. It will also help climate changes by utilize renewable
resources. Renewable resources also help to generate energy that produces no greenhouse
gas emissions from fossil fuels and reduces dependence on imported fuels. Then, to
develop communication solar remote control car that is flexible by any circumstances.

ABSTRACT

The major drawback of solar power has always been that it is intermittent, even in the
sunniest climates. Peak electricity consumption occurs regularly in the evening as the
sunsets because of the need for light at night. Herewith our team has created Solar Salt
(Soltar) as an alternative to solve these problems. As a result, the use of solar power will
improve since molten salt storage boosts the efficiency and storage capacity of solar
thermal power plants. SOLTAR will be a worthwhile project for the global community as it
promotes the application of renewable energy using a solar receiver tower alongside the
well-known heliostat mirror and molten salt storage. This sizeable light reflector will help
concentrate light rays into the solar receiver tower to heat molten salt. Its sent inside the
molten salt system, which acts as a circuit and uses heat to produce steam and generate
electricity. Then the molten salt will be cooled and flow back to the solar receiver tower,
creating a non-stop cycle. The molten salt storage retains heat so well that it enables the
thermal power plant to generate electricity for hours even when the sun is not shining.

ABSTRACT
Our project is named "Solaris Cottage" Eco Friendly Tent for Travelers, and it is a tent that
serves as a shelter, allowing humans, primarily backpackers, to protect themselves from
danger, particularly while they are in the forest or the wild. This shelter may make them feel
at ease, as if they were in their wonderful house, allowing them to relax after an arduous day
of uninterrupted travel. Because this tent is light and collapsible, they will find it easier to
pack and unpack it once they have slept and will be able to continue their adventure more
conveniently. The tent is eco-friendly since it has a cold and hot pack for them to use when
they are feeling chilly or hot. As a result, because we won't be using air conditioners, this
tent will assist us in saving the Earth. Inside the tent, there will be a little window at the roof
for tourists' light sources. It might also be open to allow sunshine in during the day. Not to
mention that there are other little compartments accessible for them to store their goods
such as toiletries or crucial items. Overall, the product meets the requirements for being
highly functional and user pleasant.

ABSTRACT

Malaysia’s ever-growing population means that a lot more waste will be disputed than in the
last several years. The evidence for this statement is based on the 40,000 tonnes of
domestic waste generated a day in Kuala Lumpur alone in the month of Ramadan.
Furthermore, based on an article by New Straits Times, Malaysia is ranked second in Asia for
annual per capita plastic use and eighth among nations that mismanage plastic waste. This
issue is very worrying for the future of our country. That is why we have invented Soluble
Film, Food Wrap & Packaging (SoFi) as an alternative to these problems. We envision our
product to be used by the giant company as an alternative to the non biodegradable plastic
waste scattered around the globe. We have found a way to turn a sheet of seaweed and milk
protein into a soluble food wrap and sachet. This product will dramatically reduce the waste
of plastic and be a solver to the plastic pollution problem.

ABSTRACT
Based on the BP Statistical Review of World Energy, coal is the largest source of electricity
production, followed by gas. These resources are the world's main electricity generators, including
Malaysia. Nevertheless, coal and natural gas are estimated to last only 53 to 114 years,
respectively. Electricity has been a natural source in our lives. However, certain countries have
little to no electricity in their household. An electric shortage is deemed to have happened when
electricity production and imports are insufficient to cover daily consumption and exports. Noise
pollution is also another problem, and it can be a nuisance sometimes because of the loud noise
disturbing our lives. Noise pollution is commonly generated inside many industrial facilities, the
highway, railways, airplane traffic, and outdoor construction activities. Noise pollution gives no
benefit, and only harms humans' health. Herewith, the team has invented SonicWave to give noise
pollution a benefit and make an additional electricity source. SonicWave turns the sound wave
into electricity by using vibration. It is done by piezoelectric material that turns vibrating into
electricity. The SonicWave device uses a full-bridge rectifier to convert alternating current, which
periodically reverses direction, to direct current, which flows in only one direction. The electricity
will flow to anywhere that uses electricity. Economically, this forward-looking invention is very
worthwhile to commercialize in a county with high daily noise exposure like Italy, the United
States, India, Indonesia, and Thailand. This device will be placed at traffic lights, lampposts, malls,
schools, and any loud area. The system in SonicWave will positively give a necessary boost and
advancement in the energy production sector, as SonicWave main goal is to outspread the
exploitation of renewable energies fruitfully.

Firstly, allow us to summarize some main snippets about this project. The background
issue which our project will be covering is mostly on water pollution; focusing on spilled oil
from boats into the ocean water. This project could help remove the oil from the sea to
avoid further damage to aquatic life. This project of our’s will be able to do the following
task due to it having a vacuum section below it that is connected to the sensor which
allows it to detect locations of spilled oil. As for the contaminated water that was
vacuumed, it will undergo a gravity separation process inside our project which will help
separate the water and the oil. The clean water will soon be released when the process is
done.

ABSTRACT
With the world increasing consumption of energy demand, clean and renewable energy
sources are getting more popular and piezoelectric energy harvesting is a subject undergoing
intense study.Piezoelectric material contains crystals that can change mechanical vibrations
into electrical energy when mechanical stresses are applied on it. However, a proper power
generation on harvesting high output of voltage from piezoelectric material has not been found
yet. The idea of harvesting electrical energy from vehicles passing through speedbump at
various speed is presented. An analysis on deflection and stress distribution on the speedbump
by using ANSYS Workbench was analyzed to convert the mechanical energy into electrical
energy. Explicit dynamics was used to study the behavior of the wheel going over the
speedbump and PZT tile at velocity of 5km/h, 10km/h, 15km/h, 20km/h,25km/h, and 30km/h
were observed and analyzed. With better positioning of the piezoelectric energy harvester and
power circuit,a high output voltage was obtained. In this research project, a high stable output
of 3V was achieved with the velocity of the car passing over the speedbump is above 15km/h.

ABSTRACT
In the past, it was not uncommon to find toilets outside of homes in Korea's rural areas. They have a
purpose now, which is to turn human waste into fertilizer, despite the fact that they have long been
deemed stinky and unhealthy. Koreans feed their plants with garbage. Human feces, sometimes
known as "nocturnal soils," was once collected in cities and towns and spread on nearby farms in
raw or composted form. Plants benefit from human urine and feces as nutrient sources. Fertilizers
add nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to the soil, speeding up decomposition and
lowering pH. The challenge of how to dispose of all that biological waste when a person exits the
state of nature has long existed. Our initiatives enable you to dispose of human waste while also
transforming it into energy that may be used. Next, many experts believe that biogas technology,
which turns biological waste into energy, is a great instrument for enhancing lives, livelihoods, and
health in the poor world. According to Renewables 2005: Global Status Report, research by the
World watch Institute, around 16 million households use small-scale biogas digesters globally.
Anything that was once alive and can produce energy is included in the broad category of biomass
energy sources, which includes biogas (except for fossil fuels, which are not renewable). Ethanol
and biodiesel are two biomass energy sources in addition to the direct use of wood and charcoal.
But compared to basic biodigesters, these varieties demand a lot more money, cutting-edge
technology, and or resources. For instance, while biodiesel is relatively simple to make, it requires
the availability of plant oil, whereas ethanol needs sophisticating machinery. Simply put, the natural
breakdown process is formalized by biogas technology. Biomethane Lavatory, lets you use human
wastes, giving us a new source of energy. In addition, human waste produces biogas, which is then
transformed to methane gas. It is feasible to cook with methane gas. By removing the need to
purchase gas every time it runs out, you will save money and make your life easier.

ABSTRACT

Abstract: According to World Health Organization (WHO) (2022), it is stated that over 2 billion
people live in water-stressed countries, which is expected to be exacerbated in some regions
as result of climate change and population growth. Globally, at least 2 billion people use a
drinking water source contaminated with faeces. Microbiologically contaminated drinking
water as a result of contamination with faeces can transmit diseases such as diarrhoea,
cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio and is estimated to cause 485 000 diarrhoeal deaths each
year. This greatly drove us to develop a water filter device, called Aquaverse 1.0 with our
objective being to increase the accessibility of the community to a safe clean drinking water
source. Aquaverse 1.0 is a portable water filter device that highly emphasizes the concept of
eco-friendliness by using natural materials such as sand, activated carbon, cotton wool and
coconut husk fibre. As an attempt to gain valuable insights of Aquaverse 1.0, we’ve conducted
a survey on 10 people that have tried using it. After analysing their feedback, it was found that 6
of them agreed on its effectiveness and portability while 8 of them agreed on its affordability.

ABSTRACT
Production of paper causes deforestation, uses vast amounts of energy and water, and adds
to pollution and waste issues. Our goal is to develop an environmentally sustainable, high-
quality innovation that can withstand any task due to the water resiliency and ability to grow
when planted in soil. Eco-Flora Paper is made from recycled paper that is embedded with
flower seeds and coated with papaya latex. The materials involved are flower seeds, recycled
papers, papaya latex, paper mould and deckle, a container, blender, sponge, and cloth sheet.
The procedure began by blending the shredded paper. Then, align the deckle to the mould
and dip it in the mixture. Sprinkle the flower seeds and use a sponge to soak up the excess
water. Let it dry before spreading some papaya latex on the paper. Papaya latex is a
proteolytic enzyme known for its hydrophobic amino acid with an outer hydrophilic core and
an inner hydrophobic core. Therefore, it could either repel or let water adhere to the surface
of the paper. The embedded flowerseeds allow the paper to grow into flowers, which aid in
soil regeneration and encourage secondary vegetation such as shrubs to grow. To conclude,
Eco-Flora Paper helps to reduce the amount of paper waste disposed of in landfills areas
whereas the growth of flowers is beneficial to our ecosystem, includingpollinators. Besides,
the waterproof and plantable features help to reduce the cutting down of forests and
minimize the carbon footprint which results from paper manufacturing.

ABSTRACT

The Flood O' Fechtor alerts users when water levels are rising and provides early warning
when a flood occurs. The purpose of this paper is to explain the progress of a prototype used
for detection and monitoring purposes. There is no doubt that floods can damage personal
properties and infrastructure. A NodeMCU-based technology is used in this system,
integrating with a Blynk mobile application (iOS or android). A wireless sensor network
system can detect water levels and provide citizens with an early warning when a flood
occurs. Through wireless connection, data is sent from ultrasonic sensors to the Blynk
application. Additionally, we use a buzzer to alert the citizens if a worse scenario occurs
during a flood. An evaluation of the proposed system was conducted in two stages. This
prototype is capable of detecting, monitoring, and alerting the affected area if future flash
floods occur.

ABSTRACT

Generally, Malaysia is located near the equatorial line where the weather is, more often than
not, uncertain, with not-so-uncommon instances of flash flood. In addition, floods occur
mainly in the East Coast area during monsoon season, which has caused significant
property damage and casualties. Large-scale property damage may happen when the
property owner is out of reach during the occurrence of a flood—or any natural disaster for
that matter. Besides that, there also exist other factors such as not keeping up with water
level trends including announcements by the authorities and abrupt downpours, which
could cause flash floods. In attempting to contain these problems, FLEXSYS came into
creation. FLEXSYS uses IOT (Internet of Things) technology to make it easy for users to
obtain comprehensive yet comprehensible information simply through the Internet.
FLEXSYS will send a new update on the water level, temperature, humidity, and water
overflow status every five minutes. It is powered solely by solar power and can stay on for
three days straight without sunlight. Thus, with the production of such a prototype, one that
can consistently send useful tidbits of data to its users, we of the OCfix. team hope to help
the citizens become more aware and prepared for any and all events in the future.

ABSTRACT
Based on statistics, plastic takes up 68% of the global pollution which is not a good sign.
Biodegradable Eco-Polybag (BE-P) is made from 100% natural materials which are eggshells and
natural rubber latex. Eggshells are crushed into powder using a blender. Eggshells are inserted
into latex and poured into the polybag mold. The bubbly foam is preserved in a hot air oven at a
temperature of 105 °C for 2 hours. Polybag has been removed from the mold and thoroughly
washed with distilled water to remove the excess non-reacting material. Preserved polybag was
dried in the oven at 80 °C for 8 hours. Soil planting tests and natural weathering tests have been
done to prove the biodegradability of BE-P products and compare them with synthetic polybag. In
the Natural Weathering test, we put our BE-P and a synthetic polybag at a place where they are
exposed to all types of weather. After 6 months, we observed both of the products using a
scanning electron microscope (SEM) and we can see that BE-P has formation of cracks and no
cracks were found on the synthetic polybag. In the Soil Burial test, we buried our BE-P and a
synthetic polybag packaging in soil. After 6 months, we observed the samples with a SEM and
found signs of fungal growth on our product while the synthetic polybag has none.

ABSTRACT
People nowadays value and pay greater attention to one's appearance. This is due to the
fact that humans are a species that desires beauty. People, on the other hand, want a
gorgeous face that requires no effort to keep. Scrubbing is one of the simplest techniques
to treat a face. Scrubs are a popular facial and body therapy. It is also an exfoliating
cosmetic preparation that is used to wash the skin on the body. It moisturises and
exfoliates our skin, leaving it smooth and silky. This is one of our product's capabilities. The
CoAl scrub, officially known as the Coffee, Aloe Vera scrub, is a one-of-a-kind scrub. You
might wonder what the difference is? Natural ingredients like coffee powder and aloe vera
were used to make the scrub. Unlike most scrubs, which contain artificial or potentially
harmful ingredients, ours is comprised entirely of natural ingredients. Coffee powder, one
of the primary ingredients, can aid to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Coffee's
chlorogenic acids could also help to decrease inflammation and defend against certain
bacteria. Aloe vera's texture is incredibly calming and aids in moisturising the skin.
Ultimately, our scrub exists to improve one's life at a reasonable expense.

ABSTRACT
Nowadays, the medical textiles market was valued at $16,686.6 million in 2015. Most of
the medical textiles market is dominated by the use of bandages and wound care
dressings. Here is where our project plays a role. Fragranced Medical Aid, or FRAGMA, is an
innovation of an ordinary bandage. What makes FRAGMA unique compared to other
bandages? One of the functions of a bandage is to protect a wound and prevent infection.
Our FRAGMA equally functions as an ordinary bandage, but it is much better. A normal
bandage is a piece of cloth or a strip of material that is used to close a wound or protect an
injured body part. Our FRAGMA is made of dragon fruit, and we innovate it by putting some
fragrance on it. Wounds often occur because of an accident or injury. When your skin is
broken, even during surgery, germs such as bacteria grow within the damaged skin of the
wound and cause infection. According to our research, we have found that the dragon fruit
is rich in antioxidant agents like flavonoids, phenolic acid, and betacyanin. These natural
substances can prevent inflammation in wounds. We know that most bandages rip easily
when exposed to water. So, we use Polyurethane Laminate Fabric as the outer surface of
FRAGMA to make it waterproof. In addition, our FRAGMA can speed up wound healing
three times faster than other wound treatments. Hence, it is proven that the FRAGMA is
better compared to other bandages.

ABSTRACT
In this day and age, tons of plastic utensils are used by millions of people daily. Some might not
even realise how often they have used plastic utensil in the past. Although, there have been a
selected few who have noticed these oddities and how it has come to affect the environment
and they are now helping to notify the public of this common enemy. That’s where RiSe comes
in. We’ve decided to help make a small change by finding an alternative solution to the
abundance of plastic use because of these plastic utensils. We acknowledge how much plastic
utensils have contributed to the harm towards the environment. Hence, we introduce to you, RiSe
an item inspired by the currently trending rice straw. RiSe is short for Rice-seed utensil and RiSe
also expresses our intention for this product, the trails of plants that would rise along it. Moving
forward, what's so special about our RiSe compared to a typical, day-to-day one-use plastic
utensil? First and foremost, RiSe is made from rice flour which would make it eco-friendly and
wouldn’t take thousands of years to decompose. RiSe doesn't contain any harmful chemical
materials in it, which makes it safe to use for food and even safe to eat. Which would prove
useful for those with toddlers who likes to nibble on utensils. Additionally, RiSe would not get
soggy in a short time span and affect the taste of the food when used, even though it contains
rice flour. Furthermore, if it still concerns you, RiSe will definitely be strong and sturdy because
starch would be added into the ingredients. Another feature to RiSe is the handle part of the
selected utensil will be filled in with some seeds. The purpose of the seed being in the handle is,
after use, the selected utensil can be plant and hopefully, with the proper care, grow a seedling.
Of course, the item being made of organic materials would help in fertilising the soil. We want to
put our utmost care and attention and with so, we will pick only suitable seeds that are easy to
take care of, non-invasive, suitable to be grown in one’s country’s climate and a long enough
lifetime expectancy.

ABSTRACT

People nowadays tend to appreciate multifunctional products more. This is due to the
common human instinct, which is to simply one's work and lighten one's burden. In today's
era, thousands, if not, millions of people have thought of making multifunctional products,
which is why our product will focus on being multifunctional. Thus, this may leave you
questioning, what makes Tri-ay so unique? We invented a 3 in 1 spray, which we named Tri-
ay. A product meant to make one's work easier. The meaning behind our invention's name,
Tri-ay is Three Function Spray. Our Tri-ay similarly functions like any other spray but there's a
twist. It's safe to say, our product is far more convenient and more practical when is set side
by side your usual day-to-day normal spray. The reason for that is actually for the fact that
our product is a combination of a wiper, a compartment for soap, and a compartment for
water, all in one product. This will help lessen one's elbow grease. For instance, someone
would be able to clean windows without having to bring buckets of water or even soapy
water all the while having the other hand occupied with carrying the wiper because our
product has it all in one product. Thanks to its practicality, works such as the
aforementioned scenario can be done in a timely manner. The product is made out of
biodegradable plastic (bioplastic). The bioplastic base helps in the reduction of waste in our
environment. We care for our consumer's comfort and the environment. As a result, we have
high expectations that when we instilled bioplastic into our product, it will not only help the
environment but also remain the same comfort for our consumers to use our product.

ABSTRACT

In line with Malaysia’s aspiration to propagate green materials and biodiversity in the
environment, alternative materials that have huge potential for commercialisation are
developed. Based on the idea to reduce the percentage of petroleum-based plastic and
polystyrene produced and environmental pollution, fruit waste has been incorporating into
bio-degradable plastic known as polycaprolactone (PCL). This project aims to determine
the suitable fruit waste including langsat, watermelon, banana, mango, orange, corn cob
and leaf as reinforcing fillers in PCL based on their tensile and oil absorption properties.
Prior to testing, the fruit waste were ground into powder and sieved. The PCL was melted
at 80 °C and mixed with each of the fruit waste at a designated weight ratio 3:1. Samples
were pressed and cut before being tested for tensile and oil absorption tests. Results for
each fruit waste-PCL composites were compared and evaluated. Based on the results, it
was found that incorporating orange peel into PCL resulted in high tensile strength and
modulus. Meanwhile, banana peel showed a higher percentage of oil absorbed as
compared to others. From the result, it showed that fruit waste-based PCL plastic
composite has the potential to subsitute petroleum-based plastic and polystyrene for a
wide range of applications.

from getting damaged by one of the greatest natural disasters; floods. As to overcome this
phenomenon effects, a solution has come to this issue by the invention of “the flood wall”.
This project is about creating another flood barrier by emphasizing the divergence by
applying one of the physics concepts which is the hydrostatic force. The rationale of the
concept which uses high pressure of water to push up the walls in instant is to fabricate a
lab-scale model that can stimulate the instant flood wall system besides improving the
performance of the instant flood wall. This project was successfully done when it finally
operates instantly due to the hydrostatic force exerted under the float of the wall. In
addition, the simple design of the lab-scale instant flood wall model has proved its
effectiveness as it has performed excellently with a smooth movement of rising that can
give a new breath in the engineering world.

ABSTRACT

Landslides are one of the most prominent geo-hazard that accounts for colossal losses
every year. Based on our research, Malaysia has experienced 18.5 landslides annually
followed by Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak. For example, a major landslide happened at Kota
Kinabalu-Sandakan road. Landslide can be defined as the movement of a mass of rock,
debris or earth down a slope. Therefore, it becomes the sole purpose to create this
Landslide and Flood Park Preventer in order to reduce the landslide and flood cases on
highland in Malaysia. This project is mainly focused on highland residents. In our project,
we need to scrap the hill off so that it will look like a stairs to give support for the soil to
hold the root. In addition, the container will have water filters to filter the water that flows
into it. So, the water that collected in the tank is only clean water that can be used while
we are having an emergency such as water crisis. Besides,we can save our money from
paying high water bill costs. Hence, this project is aimed to commercialize our Landslide
and Flood Park Preventer all over the world. Beyond any doubt, we can minimize natural
disaster like landslides.

ABSTRACT
Each year, an enormous number of animals are killed for their skins and a vast amount of
water and hazardous chemicals are used in the leather industry which may lead to the pollution
of the wastewater released back, emissions of greenhouse gasses and an increase in the cost
of waste management. Hence, an alternative version of leather using banana waste would
reduce these problems in the leather and fashion industry. Vegan leather is not made with
animal products but is substituted by plant-based waste combined with polyurethane, polyvinyl
chloride or sustainable materials. A study is conducted to create vegan leather using banana
waste. An investigation has been done on the leather's durability, toughness, tear-resistant and
sturdy. The methodology used in this experiment is by mixing and casting banana wastes with
beeswax as the binder and then tested for their mechanical and physical properties. As a result,
a soft and durable leather-like texture sheet has been achieved. An environmentally-friendly and
animal-cruelty-free leather could be developed for the fashion and consumer industry.

ABSTRACT

The world generates around 8 million pieces of plastic waste everyday and these plastics
can cause dangerous pollution especially towards nature since they are not biodegradable
and hard to destroy. The research works on replacing the usual plastic materials to a more
environmentally friendly and biodegradable material such as banana plant stem. Generally ,
bananas plant only fruit once and the stem will be removed after it is harvested which makes
only 12% of the banana plant is actually used while another 88% will be thrown after that.
Besides, even the industries that use banana plants only need them for their fruit and this is
why we want to use them to produce bioplastic after doing some research. The banana plant
stems have high starch content and hence finds potential use for the production of
bioplastic. It also contains pectin, an essential source in providing bioplastic strength and it
is rich with cellulose which we call pseudostem. By this research, we are able to reduce the
plastic waste and also the banana plant waste especially for the food and drink industry.
Furthermore, this Nana Bioplastic is also very cheap and cost saving besides being a safe
material towards our nature.

ABSTRACT

We have made a research about a problem that plagues the whole world yet causing everyone
to be impressed. At present, COVID-19 attacks have become endemic as a new normal in our
life. But will the mask not affect the environment? According to the research, it can take over
450 years to decompose. Due to that, the innovation of masks can help people save the
environment today. Currently, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a direction to
follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in line with the current situation. Based on the
Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), this endemic phrase is that we should wear face masks
outside the area yet after shaking hands, people have to wash hands and not hold their faces.
Nevertheless, we have chosen masks as our main objective. The face masks we recommend
can give a big opportunity to others. One of them is that they do not pollute the environment.
This can be proven by the time of disposal of face masks which only takes within five months.
In addition, this mask also has a nice adjustable headloop and earloop. Thus, it makes it easier
for hijab and non-hijab users to wear it. As the result of two models of masks that we designed.
To summaries, this product will help to take part in reducing environment pollution more
relevantly. Crabyon Chitosan Fiber is great for the inner layers for the effectiveness of
antibacterial function for a long time and excellent even for sensitive skin. Our mask is made of
2 layers of polyhydroxyalkanoates which is a hydrophobic that only takes 2 months to fully
decompose for the outer layer. Moreover, the usage of Crabyon Chitosan Fiber distributes a lot
for the environment as it makes use of waste from crab meat processing factories and crab
shells. In addition, for the convenience of people, our mask has an adjuster for ear-loop and is
made from bio nylon which is one of biodegradable materials.

Abstract
Sleeping problems are ubiquitous worldwide and has contributed to people's unhealthy
lifestyle. Common sleep disorders like insomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy and
sleep apnea can affect every aspect of your life including your safety, relationships, school
and work performance, thinking, mental health, weight and the development of diabetes and
heart disease. 62% of adults around the world say they don't sleep as well as they'd like as
reported by Philips Global Sleep Survey, 2019. According to Medical News Today, around
20% of students pull all-nighters at least once a month, and about 35% stay up past three in
the morning once or more weekly. These are the main objective of our "Sleeping Banana
Peel Tea" project. Banana peel tea is simply fresh or dried banana peels simmered briefly in
boiling water. Banana peels contain minerals such as potassium and magnesium, which are
thought to support relaxation and sleep, though the amounts you’ll get in a cup of banana

ABSTRACT

Non-biodegradable bags have been a problem for a long time. The effects can be seen such
as deforestation, health disease, toxic gas and others. Moreover, people nowadays tend to
ignore the importance of replanting to preserve more trees. The number of trees chopped
down are increasing, the number of new trees planted are decreasing. Therefore, we come
out with an innovation. A simple paper bag that can turn into a plant seed. Rather than using a
plastic bag that is polluted, beeswax seed bags are more organic and eco friendlier. This
biodegradable bag is a mixture that the seed inside of it, can be used to plant trees. An
experiment has been conducted and we found out that the super-seed bag can withstand
temperature up to 62.2 degrees so we can conclude that even if this bag is covered with wax
it can still be used for hours outdoors. Based on my analysis, if we could practice using it
from now on, more non renewable sources such as petroleum can be saved since the
amount of cloth needed to be processed to make a new cloth will be decreased. In
conclusion, we can also be active in going to a better future with better environmental
conditions for future generations by doing simple things such as using our Super-seed bag.
