Frenger Systems is a world-renowned specialist manufacturer of space

of the design, development and manufacture of water driven cooling and Active MSCB Installation Active Chilled Beam Installation

Acoustic Lighting & Heating Rafts
Multi-Service Chilled Beams

Frenger’s UK technical facility is dedicated to Multi-Service Chilled Beam
(MSCB) technology. Frenger designs and manufactures in-house and
can meet the specific requirements of the professional team for various
landmark building projects. This ranges from the overall appearance to
the provision of a comfortable working environment for the end user.
MSCBs can utilise either passive or active beam technologies. The MSCB
removes the need for the monolithic ceilings that we have become
accustomed to in office developments, instead providing visually stunning
yet 100% functional building services which are 100% pre-fabricated
off-site in a controlled factory environment.

Active Chilled Beams

Many large projects with cooling requirements of more than 100 W/m²
are now utilising Frenger’s active beams supplied with fresh air rates of
just 1.2 l/s/m². Frenger offers active chilled beams to meet a multitude of
needs. Frenger’s low profile active beam has <135mm construction depth
and is ideal where the ceiling void is restricted. Frenger’s high
performance beams can handle large air volumes (up to 70l/s per beam)
and consequently delivers the highest cooling capacities.

Passive Chilled Beam & Chilled Ceilings

Frenger’s “Radiant” passive chilled beam ‘X-Wing’ outperforms any other
beam on the market today. Also, X-Wing has no joints in the pipework
coil hence, no risk of leaks. Positioned above a perforated metal ceiling
system, these Radiant Beams deliver unrivalled levels of cooling capacity
and occupancy comfort; up to 150 W/m² of cooling with no draughts and
no noise.
Radiant Beams can also be used with very small ceiling perforations
(2.4mm diameter holes and 28% free area), making it virtually invisible
from below. Frenger has designed, supplied and installed Radiant Chilled
Beam ceilings on many major UK projects and tower buildings for
Australia and other countries.

Multi-Service Radiant Panels (MSRPs)

Frenger’s Acoustic, Lighting and Heating Rafts, otherwise known as
Multi-Service Radiant Panels (MSRPs), consist essentially of a free
hanging Radiant Heating Panel coupled with other services such as
lighting, acoustic sound absorbing materials, apertures for sprinkler
heads, compartment trunking for other electrical services, apertures for
PA and VA speakers, lighting control, PIR sensors and Photocells.
The radiant heating element is the same technology utilised for Frenger’s
Modula panels. Modula is a high-performance heating cassette with a
smooth surface finish. The design and special bonding process employed
in the manufacturing of the panel ensures maximum heat exchange.
Modula has been specifically developed to be integrated into standard
exposed-grid ceiling systems, for use in schools and healthcare
environments, where an easy-to-clean and simple-to-install panel width
with high heating capacity (567 W/m² at 56 dTK) is the preferred solution.
EcoStrip is suitable for heating large buildings, sports halls, aircraft
hangers and factories. Units can be wall mounted or free hanging and
are available in lengths of 4 to 120m. Panels are available in RAL 9010
white or RAL 9002 grey finishes. EcoStrip has been performance tested
to EN 14037.

Underfloor Air Conditioning

Underfloor air conditioning (UfAC™) systems make use of the plenum
beneath a raised access floor to create the air ventilation zone, eliminating
the need for ceiling based services and associated duct and pipework.
Each floor is divided into zones of up to 300m2 depending on the potential
use and occupancy density of the area.
Each zone is supplied with chilled or warmed air by a zonal air handling
unit or CAM (Conditioned Air Module) and the conditioned air is then
delivered into the space using a recessed (Fantile) or floor standing fan
terminal. Air travels back to the CAM for re-conditioning either at floor
level via the plenum (CAM-C), or at high level (CAM-V). Both CAM-C and
CAM-V systems can be configured to be either chilled water (CW) or
direct expansion (DX).
Create high quality workspace with inherent flexibility. Adaptable and
easily reconfigured, our systems are ideal for commercial offices, learning
centres and mixed-use space.

CAM-C Floor Supply - Floor Return

The CAM-C system makes use of the raised floor void as a plenum for
the distribution and the return of air. Within the floor void, flexible baffle
material segregates zones into supply and return plena.
A CAM-C system is the best option for increasing headroom in height
restricted buildings and where ceilings may be left exposed to highlight
architectural features.

CAM-V Floor Supply - High Level Return

The CAM-V system makes use of the raised floor void as a plenum for
the distribution of supply air. Return air is received back to the unit at
ceiling or high level.
No division in the floor plenum means the CAM-V system is the best
option for flexibility and future reconfiguration.

Fantile Only

Fantiles are fan air terminals, recessed into the underfloor void, and can
be used independently, or to boost airflow and cooling performance of
centralised Displacement Ventilation systems. This can reduce the
number of passive grilles required.

Climatic Chamber

Refrion has designed and created the first laboratory in Europe
specialising in the performance testing of even the largest and more

TROX’s VAV terminal units are used in supply air and extract air systems.
They work with an external power supply and can be used for almost any
control, regulation and shut-off tasks in room air conditioning systems,
but most are ideal for systems with more stringent acoustic requirements.
Volume flow controllers are mechanical self-powered units for the control
of supply air or extract air in constant air volume (CAV) systems and work
without an external power supply.
A damper blade with low-friction bearings is adjusted by aerodynamic
forces so that the set volume flow rate is maintained within the differential
pressure range.

The Type PWX fan coil units have been designed to complement the
TROX range of systems and products.
• Type PWX fan coil unit, attenuator & plenums have been independently

evaluated – acoustically, thermally and electrically
• FCU are available in 6 sizes of unit (600, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800 &

2050mm) based around a base unit of length 900mm & height, 270mm.
• 9 different airflow configurations & 16 different fan options are available
• Volume flow rate range from 50 l/s to 636 l/s (180 m³/h to 2289 m³/h)

Air Cooled Turbocor Chillers

The latest innovation from Uniflair is the BCEC air cooled chiller series,
featuring oil-free variable speed Turbocor compressors with magnetic
bearings. ALL models are available in BCEF free-cooling version, for
energy savings that set the new benchmark in this sector, taking
advantage of the double benefits of free-cooling reducing the load on the
refrigeration circuit which then puts the Turbocor compressor into its
highly efficient part load operation.
Unlike many rivals, Uniflair has not opted to simply adapt an existing
chiller range to fit the Turbocor, but has spent considerable time and
resources to develop a completely new range to take full advantage of
the benefits of this innovative compressor, while at the same time
ensuring dependable operation even in demanding ambient temperatures.

Welcome to the latest generation of high efficiency chilled water downflow
units from Uniflair. As the size and heat load density of hyper-scale data
centres continues to grow, so does the Uniflair range. Chilled water
downflow units now available from 5kW to 300kW and all frame sizes
have at least two coil options to suit both cooler legacy temperatures or
latest generation high temperature operation on both air and water side.
With a separate fan deck, suitable for location above or below a raised
floor, these stylish units offer maximum capacity and efficiency from the
smallest of footprints, freeing up valuable additional white space within
the data centre. Designed specifically for the modern data centre with
performance optimised at elevated temperatures in line with the latest
ASHRAE guidelines, and combined with cutting-edge composite fan
technology, the HDCV range offers up to 50% fan power savings
compared to conventional downflow units.

Chillers with “Intelligent Free-Cooling”

Built to the same high standards as the precision air conditioning units,
the chiller range is equally well-suited to 24/7 or other applications where
reliability and energy efficiency are key. All critical chilled water systems
will require a standby chiller to ensure the necessary levels of resilience
are maintained at all times. For chillers from 40kW up to 1.7MW, Uniflair
has created “Intelligent Free Cooling” which allows the free-cooling
potential of any standby chillers to be utilised without compromising the
resilience levels of the system. Uniflair Intelligent Free-Cooling maximises
energy savings whenever the ambient temperature is below the chilled
water return temperature, including:

• 10% reduction in main pump size (intelligent free cooling pump fitted
on-board)

• Up to 90% additional free-cooling from any “Intelligent” standby chiller

• Optional integral Adiabatic system providing free-cooling from higher
ambient temperatures & significant reduction in overall energy
consumption

Optimisation Management

Not only are the individual air conditioning units and chillers market
leaders in terms of energy saving, Uniflair goes further in offering
innovative solutions for their management and control as part of complete
systems. For example, in a chilled water system with Uniflair Master
Control, a tracking logic follows the heat load and varies the chilled water
temperature dynamically to maximise operating COP and extend the
periods in which free-cooling is available.

of R410A refrigerant, but R32 on its own has a GWP of 675, compared
to R410A’s 2,088. The greater energy efficiency of R32 results in a lower
refrigerant charge and the potential to manufacture smaller units. It is also
easier to re-use and recycle as it is a single component gas.
Daikin introduced the world’s first R32 domestic air conditioners in Japan
in 2012 and has already sold more than 14 million systems worldwide.
Installation of R32 systems is like the R410A systems, however slightly
different installation tools are required. Daikin can advise on training
requirements. A restricted range of R410A products remains available
alongside the newer technology.

Sky Air A-Series

Daikin UK’s Sky Air range of air conditioning solutions for light commercial
applications features the award-winning A-Series, with Bluevolution R32
technology. Promising seasonal efficiencies of up to 10% higher than the
previous series, the Daikin Sky Air A-Series has the highest absolute
seasonal efficiency industry-wide. The range adds flexibility to design,
with piping lengths up to 85m and extended operating ranges – cooling
from -20°C to +52°C (outdoors) and heating down to -20°C (outdoor
temperature).
There are three ranges in the A-Series, and two are contained within a
lightweight single fan casing of less than a metre high – easy to handle
and minimal ongoing visual impact. The high-end double fan unit comes
pre-charged for a 40-metre pipe run – which covers the maximum length
for 60% of Sky Air applications. This saves time and cost and avoids the
need for calculations, carrying gas bottles or adding field charge. And
with an R32 charge of less than 7.4kg, there is no F-gas requirement for
leak checking.
At the heart of the A-Series is the unique Daikin swing compressor –
designed for high efficiencies and increased service life – and Daikin’s
refrigerant cooling technology for PCBs, ensuring reliability in all weather
conditions. With a redesigned pivoting front panel for easy access to
components, the units feature a new 7 segment display for easy error
read-outs and an integrated leak-check function. The Sky Air A-Series is
therefore quicker to work with at every stage of installation, commissioning
and servicing.

R32 EWAT-B Chiller

Daikin has launched the world’s first air-cooled scroll chiller series using
R32 refrigerant. The new generation air-cooled chillers, EWAT-B are
available for cooling only and heat recovery applications from 80kW up
to 700kW cooling capacity at nominal conditions. Compared to the
previous R-410A range, the new EWAT-B chiller series’ seasonal energy
efficiency ratio (SEER) is improved by 10%. The chiller range fully
complies with the efficiency requirements imposed by current European
Legislation (Ecodesign Lot 21).
The Global Warming Potential is 675, which is only one third of the
commonly used refrigerant R-410A. The new Daikin chiller series will be
available with two efficiency versions (Silver and Gold), combinable with
three sound configurations (Standard, Low and Reduced) and providing
full customisation on project-specific requirements. The new Daikin series
comes with Master/Slave functionality as standard, allowing the
management of up to 4 units on the same system without the need for
external control devices.

Daikin Altherma 3

Bluevolution technology – combining high-efficiency Daikin compressors
and being the UK’s first heat pump to use R32 refrigerant, the Daikin
Altherma 3 Low Temperature Split Heat Pump is setting the standard for
domestic renewable heating technology in the UK.
Delivering temperatures up to 65°C, the Daikin Altherma 3 is great for
underfloor heating, radiators and domestic hot water. It is available in 4,
6 and 8 kW models and retains the Daikin Altherma pedigree trademark
of frost protection down to -25°C, ensuring reliable operation in even the
coldest climates.

Technology Beats Dust to Boost Comfort

Revolutionary dust-beating technology from Daikin UK adds a fresh
dimension to air-conditioned comfort for hotel guests – and boosts the
efficiency and reliability of VRV systems.

Following the success of the self-cleaning panel option for its Roundflow
cassettes, Daikin has introduced an automated filter cleaning system for
its medium static pressure FXDQ-type slim ducted fan coil units – typically
found in hotel bedrooms, but also popular in other applications where a
concealed unit is required in a ceiling void of just 240mm.

The system is also available for FDXM-F-type units, a similar design for
use with R32 multi-split systems.

The award-winning cleaning system avoids the basic problem of dust
accumulation, which necessitates frequent servicing of filters.

Without regular servicing, system performance can be impaired, comfort
levels are reduced, and operating costs are increased. Dust build-up can
also lead to dirty marks around grilles.

In tests comparing automatic weekly filter cleaning against manual
cleaning at three-month intervals, the automated system delivered
efficiency gains of up to 20%.

The system has a unit programmed to sweep across the width of the filter
at predefined intervals. Dust is conveyed to a dust box, where it can be
removed via a suction port by a domestic vacuum cleaner.

VRV IV+

Launched in 2012, Daikin’s pioneering revolutionary VRV IV system set
a new standard in the industry, introducing new levels of seasonal
efficiency and comfort. Offering an integrated solution to cover multiple
applications, its design simplicity, flexible configuration, combined with
ease of installation and commissioning, continues to position Daikin as
the best partner of choice for climate control, with over 220,000 VRV IV
units sold since its launch.

Advanced research and development have ensured Daikin’s VRV IV
technology remains unmatched.

Features such as Variable Refrigerant Temperature (VRT) Technology
automatically adjusts temperatures in line with loads and ambient
temperature, while the continuous heating during defrost technology
eliminates temperature drops during defrosting.

Further system developments have since followed and with the launch
of the VRV IV+ series we continue to build on our strategy of delivering
systems that are truly efficient in real life situations and we are already
compliant with the new ENER LOT 21 – Tier 2 is due to come into force
in 2021.

Central to the new VRV IV+ units, the compressor has been redesigned
and fully optimised to ensure high performance at part loads, which is
the main operation mode throughout the year. The inclusion of a
back-pressure control port that sends a small amount of high-pressure
refrigerant from the compression chamber to the back of the scroll.

We can therefore ensure optimal separation of lower- and higher-
pressure sides within the compression chamber, boosting seasonal
efficiency to a new standard.

Madoka Controller

Daikin’s VRV accessories range includes a sleek and elegant
touchscreen wired remote controller, designed to enhance the user
experience. It is available in three colours to suit décor choices and is a
compact 85x85mm.

In standard view it allows easy adjustment of room temperature, while
the alternative detailed view provides access to various other basic
functions. More advanced energy-saving settings such as constraining
upper and lower temperature limits can be adjusted with a smartphone.

A kW/h indication shows electricity consumption in the past day, month
or year. Up to three different schedules can be pre-set for summer, winter
and mid-season – enabling the user to select them as necessary.

compared to 2,087.5 for R410A. It requires 20% less gas charge and gives

The new external units feature Ocean Black Fin coating on the heat
exchanger, which is highly corrosion resistant, and designed to perform
well in corrosive environments such as contaminated or humid conditions.

This ensures longer lifespan and lower operational costs for the units. The
new LG units incorporate a new Twin Rotary Inverter Compressor that
comes with a ten-year warranty. It features Oil Flow Optimisation,
concentrated winding motor, a twin rotary rotor, suction optimisation and
excellent surface coating with outstanding abrasion resistance properties
on the vane and the crankshaft.

Air-to-Water Heat Pumps 5kW ~ 16kW

LG adds a complete range of Monobloc units operating on the low GWP
R32 refrigerant, in a wide operating range of between 10-135Hz and
water temperatures up to 65°C without an electric back-up heater, and
100% operational performance down to outside ambient temperature
[minus] -7°C.

The new version of the Therma V Monobloc units contains a plate heat
exchanger, expansion tank and a Grundfos water pump with an optional
back up heater. The units have a 5 to 6dB lower sound power level
compared to the previous model and can be controlled remotely using the
LG smartphone app smartThinQ.

A typical VRF system operation would fluctuate considerably to maintain
required room conditions, normally operating on a thermostat on,
thermostat off cycle. The Multi V 5 Dual Sensing Control offers each user
a selectable Comfort Cooling option, which maintains supply air
temperatures around the desired room set point, reducing on/off cycling,
eliminating draughts and delivering maximum user comfort.

Ultimate Inverter Compressor

LG’s own 5th generation compressor offers a host of unique LG
technological developments, a High Sided Shell (HSS), High Pressure Oil
Return (HiPOR™) and a new Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) bearing which
allows an all inverter system compressor to operate between 10Hz-165Hz,
increasing partial efficiencies, extending capacity and increasing reliability.
The advanced PEEK bearing system sees a redesigned scroll bearing
consisting of a material normally used in aeroplane engines to give high
reliability by suffering minimum effects of frictional wear at high
temperatures, a cause normally associated from periods of oil-less
operation. HiPOR™ greatly reduces compressor energy wastage by
returning oil directly into the sump of the compressor. Oil viscosities are
kept low and volumetric efficiencies high which adds to increased
compressor efficiencies by up to 10%.
LG’s concept of real time oil monitoring is included in each compressor.
‘Smart Oil Management’ utilises a sensor placed in each compressor to
monitor oil levels in real time, allowing corrective action when required,
improving lifecycle expectancies and extending heating periods by
eliminating unnecessary oil return, coupled with the added ability to balance
oil levels between compressors.

Large Capacity ODU

Adopting an awareness of biological-inspired engineering, a biomimetic
fan has been developed and incorporated with a 4-sided heat exchanger
and improved compressor performance. Multi V 5’s efficiency and capacity
has been enhanced to be able to provide 26HP (72.8kW) from a single
outdoor unit.
Working with Seoul University’s Department of Mechanical & Aerospace
Engineering, the researchers behind the development of Multi V 5 drew
inspiration from the Humpback whale’s functional morphology of flipper
structures to give a naturally evolved passive flow control. By adopting a
biomechanical approach, increased air flows have become possible,
negating most of the associated negatives.

Ocean Black Fin

Equipped with Ocean Black Fin anti-corrosion coating, Multi V 5’s 4-side
heat exchanger is protected to reduce the effects of corrosion normally
found in coastal and industrial environments. The 2-part coating consists
of a black epoxy resin providing the resistance and a hydrophilic coating
to minimise the accumulation of moisture, which would accelerate any
chemical reaction.

used to provide hot water for use in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms,
radiators, under floor heating, swimming pools or process heating.

Hydro kit units come in low/medium temperature or high temperature
types, making them suitable for a range of projects from large domestic
to district heating systems, and commercial applications especially the
leisure and beauty industry using the high temperature hydro kit for large
volumes of domestic hot water.

For smaller applications LG’s Therma V, air-to-water heat pump range,
available both low/medium temperature types (5kW ~ 16kW) split system

Therma V systems from LG are inverter controlled, need very little
maintenance and are quiet in operation. Domestic hot water can be

heating products to display an energy label to identify the most energy
efficient products available. The Ecodan® range has achieved the highest
space heating band of an A++ rating.

Incentivised

Heat pumps are recognised as renewable by the Government and are
therefore eligible to receive regular quarterly payments from the
Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
Homeowners can receive up to seven years of payments whilst
commercial installations are eligible for up to 20 years of RHI payments.

Ecodan® Heat Pumps

Mitsubishi Electric’s award-winning Ecodan range offers the UK viable,
mass market, low carbon domestic and commercial heating.
Manufactured in Scotland and the Far East, Ecodan is accredited under
the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), offering homes and
commercial properties a low carbon alternative to gas and oil heating.
The new fifth generation of domestic models is specifically designed for
the UK. Ecodan is as ‘plug and play’ as possible, ultra-quiet and inverter
controlled to regulate energy consumption.
Equally important in these days of fuel poverty, Ecodan can reduce fuel

cost) gap between Ecodan and other forms of heating will grow.

High Efficiency for New-Build

A new domestic Ecodan 4kW unit has been developed specifically to
meet the demands of modern homebuilding techniques.
The unique design of the Ecodan QUHZ air source heat pump delivers
efficient hot water whilst still providing renewable heating to answer the
high hot water, low heating requirement of highly insulated homes.

Commercial Heating

Designed specifically for use in commercial properties, our larger
renewable Ecodan products (CAHV and CRHV) use proven heat pump
technology to deliver effective, low carbon heating to provide a simple
solution that can replace traditional systems.
Heating accounts for more than half of the total energy consumed by an
average commercial property, so this is the obvious area to target to

Air Movement Facility & CFD Airflow Modelling

Our Air Movement Test Facility was fully replaced and upgraded in 2015
and enables us to perform full air movement performance tests, both for
our own research and for specific customer projects.
Designed to ISO 5219 specifications, we have superb versatility in room
and plant arrangement which allows controlled air flow through numerous
types of device in a multitude of mounting positions.
Experiments determine key data, including flow rates, pressures,
velocities and temperatures, with the computer centre recording all tests,
both visually and in data form.
Supporting this, we have the latest Computational Fluid Dynamics airflow
modelling software which, using a 3D CAD base, allows our engineers
to generate a computer graphical model of any area complete with air
terminal or other devices. Models are populated with sub structures,
fixtures and other heating/cooling loads, enabling the software to
accurately map and predict the airflow and heat transfer in three
dimensions. Using this software, complex project applications can often
be proven without the need for full laboratory testing.

Natural Ventilation

Gilberts’ latest product innovation is in Natural ventilation. Mistrale

warm room air before it reaches occupants.
With this winter mixing natural ventilation strategy, the heat gains in the
space are used to effectively pre-heat the air and the heating bills for
naturally ventilated buildings can be reduced dramatically by 50% over

The Ultrastream grease and odour removal system bolts directly into the

for the end user.
Primary grease removal is achieved by substituting our Superstream filters
within the CONEX hood for our Ultrastream, high efficiency two stage
baffle filter. Ultrastream filters hold UL, ULC, DIN-18868-5 and ASTM 2519
test certificates.
Grease and odour destruction are achieved by passing the extract air
through the UV lamp assembly located within the CONEX canopy. Intense
UV light breaks down and destroys residual grease and odours by a
proven combination of ozonolysis and photolysis.

Ultima Recirculation Unit

Ultima is a self-contained kitchen ventilation unit for use over electric only
equipment that comprises a full size extract and supply canopy with a
dedicated filtration tower at one end. The tower has an integral centrifugal
fan unit and additional stages of filtration to clean the air before being
introduced back into the kitchen.
Contaminated air from cooking appliances is filtered first by the
Superstream baffle grease filters located in the canopy to remove the
vast proportion of the grease from the airstream.
Using the power of the internal fan in the tower, the air is then drawn out
from the canopy and through the tower assembly and passed through
four additional stages of increasingly efficient filters, to remove remaining
grease before passing through carbon filter elements to reduce odours.
Filtered air is then reintroduced into the kitchen through the supply diffuser
on the front of the canopy.
The system is user friendly and comes complete with an intelligent control
system that indicates filter replacement requirements and interfaces with
the cooking equipment power supply.

Many standard manufactured products for this application are stitched
and rigid in their design and sizing.
EMCEL Circaframe filters are thermoplastically bonded to selected
media, allowing a rustproof, clean finish, with additional options such as

Where space for withdrawal is a particular issue, i.e. fan coil units are
positioned near a wall, EMCEL has developed a sectioned filter that can

Coils lie at the heart of many industrial buildings and processes. Belgravia Fan Convectors

Fan Convectors

Trench Heaters

SPC Metropolitan Trench Heaters are typically used in glazed areas to
enhance comfort. The units are available for both heating and cooling.
They fit into a trench around the perimeter of the building that is close to
the glass.
Both natural and powered units are available, the powered units use
whisper quiet fans. Bespoke requirements can be accommodated and a
range of anodised grille finishes is available to enhance any décor.

Radiant Panels

SPC’s Thermatile panels offer a highly efficient, instant heating solution.
The panels can fit into a suspended ceiling grid or be free hanging. Wall
mounted options are also available.
The Thermatile 10 is suitable for ceiling grid application width 595mm
and lengths of 595mm, 1190mm, 1790mm, 2390mm 2990mm and
3590mm. It is available from stock.
The Thermatile 12 is suitable for ceiling grid applications and is supplied
in two or more modules once the length goes beyond 3590mm. Delivery

Heat Pumps & Energy Networks

Air Source: Dimplex supply high efficiency monobloc ASHPs ranging
from 6-60kW in capacity, making them suitable for domestic and light

from the pipework into corridors. Zeroth reduces temperatures, waste,
running costs and carbon.

Edel & Water Cylinders

Edel: Edel is a combination water cylinder and heat pump, which allows
it to produce hot water efficiently by extracting heat from external air
supplied via insulated ductwork. The Edel range of hot water heat pump
cylinders comes in two sizes, 200L and 270L. Due to the high efficiencies,
the cylinder reduces the Dwelling Emission Rate in SAP and is Appendix
Q listed. This makes it possible to pass Part L building regulations simply,
often in conjunction with electric space heating.

Water Cylinders: With both standard unvented indirect and direct
models, and models designed specifically to work with renewable energy
sources, there is an EC-Eau™ cylinder suitable for every application.

Offering low running costs, reliable hot water and fantastic flow rates,
EC-Eau™ cylinders are available in a wide range of capacities. There
are different model options to include cylinders for use with heat pumps
and solar thermal systems.

Environmental sensitivity and efficient performance are key attributes
across the EC-Eau™ range, which boasts 60mm of CFC/HCFC free
insulation to minimise heat loss and innovative measures, such as
recessed immersions and thermostats to reduce energy wastage.

Designed for use in UK heating systems together with Danfoss liquid or
gas filled sensors. Danfoss offers a TRV for every application:

• RA-DV - Pressure independent radiator valve providing automatic

Radiator Thermostats

Danfoss are world leaders in the design and manufacture of radiator
thermostats. The RA 2000 sensors are a range of high-performance
temperature sensors ideally suited for commercial applications. The
temperature sensor uses frictionless bellows charged with a small volume
of liquified gas. The RA 2000 range is split into two sub-categories
depending on installation requirement:

Specifically designed for use in combination with the Pressure Independent
Control Valve type AB-QM NovoCon in sizes from DN 40 to 100 and used
in air handling units (AHUs), chillers and distribution station applications.

• Hydronic bus actuator: communication standards for (BMS) such
as BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU.

• Connected input / output device: Remote operation through

Gas Meters & Regulators

Turbine meters, as well as radial type and quantometers, are flow meters
which display the volume flowing through the device in actual cubic
metres. The incoming gas is accelerated through the inlet body and
strikes the blades of the turbine wheel.

The revolutions of the turbine wheel are transferred to an 8-digit roller
counter via a multi-stage gear and a magnetic coupling. Low pressure
and medium pressure natural gas regulators are available in a wide range
of different nominal pressures, design features and connections.

Heat Meters & Solar Thermal Meters

Innovative, fully patented, space-saving
MatriX disc burner

Viessmann has introduced the Vitocrossal 200 CRU, an 800-1000 kW
gas condensing boiler with an innovative MatriX pre-mix disc burner which
sets new standards for commercial boilers.
It has a modular design for easier installation, and significantly smaller
dimensions which make it perfectly-suited to smaller plant rooms. For
heating larger premises, there is a cascade function for up to eight boilers
with a total output of 8,000 kW.
The new Vitocrossal 200 represents a significant step forward in
commercial boilers because of its compactness. Large industrial plant-
rooms are going out of favour, being replaced by multiple boiler rooms,
and the Vitocrossal 200 is perfect for those smaller spaces. This boiler
is also desirable for its low NOx emissions, lower minimum output with
higher efficiency, and easier handling and serviceability.
We are expecting high levels of interest from consultants and specifiers
who work with large contractors on projects such as hospitals and district
heating systems.
