Other Environmental Factors
The Information, Education and Communication on reforestation being
implementedare the following:

• Newly hired employee’s orientation on THPAL Environmental programs
On the services to the community, the company continuously donated 7,600seedlings of
indigenous trees and fruit trees to the local communities and LGUs, Claver MENRO, CENRO
Tubod and Hayanggabon BLGU.
The THPAL’s reforestation program at the Municipality of Socorro in partnership with people’s
organization NEPAFCO as recommended by DENR is considered as form of community
assistance. THPAL provided cash incentives in planting and protecting the trees in the
reforestation site.
THPAL also conducted terrestrial flora and fauna monitoring within the identified stations in
THPAL area and adjacent location to determine the profile and trend of biodiversity.
THPAL also established an arboretum that houses 12 indigenous species.
THPAL produced indigenous seedlings through macro-somatic clonal propagation which is an
asexual means of reproduction using stem, branch and rhizomes.
THPAL also employed vermicomposting as source of organic fertilizer for the nursery and
reforestation activities.
