The 4th National Academic Conference And InternationalCreative Exhibition (2022) “Theme: Transforming the Country through Art, Culture and Innovation” The 4th National Academic Conference and International Creative Exhibition (2022) is organized to serve as a platform for the exchange of academic knowledge and creative works between artists, art instructors, art students, and other arts enthusiasts specializing in the various areas of visual arts, architecture, design, and other allied fields. The theme of the event changes every year, in response to foregoing trends, issues, and ideologies. This project is made possible through the cooperation of four universities collectively referred to as the 4U PLUS Network dedicated to the pedagogy of arts and design. The 4U Network consists of: Prince of Songkhla University-Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts (Pattani Campus); Dhurakij Pundit University-Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts; Burapha University-Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts; and Bunditpatanasilpa InstituteFaculty of Fine Arts. The event will provide artists, art instructors, art students, and other arts enthusiasts an opportunity to present their academic researches (during the Academic Conference) and/or exhibit their creative works (at the Creative Exhibition) to the public. Submitted works will be scrutinized by a review committee which consists of national experts before presentation and/or exhibition. Universities, organizations, institutes, individual artists and designers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, India, Italy, and our partner organizations from other parts of Asia and Europe will also be invited to present their academic researches and/or exhibit their creative works. This event will be a splendid opportunity to engage in the development artistic heritages and to experience the rich artistic and cultural exchanges through the exhibition, publication, and networking of art works and researches from local, national, and international artists.

Message from the President of Bunditpatanasilpa Institute The 4U PLUS Network is a cooperation of public and private higher education institutions offering courses in arts and design. It consists of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Burapha University, the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Dhurakij Pundit University, the Faculty of Fine Arts – Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, and the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Prince of Songkhla University (Pattani Campus), all of whom are regular active participants to the annual National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture, and Design and the International Arts and Design Collaborative Exhibition. This 2022, the Faculty of Fine Arts –Bunditpatanasilpa Institute is honored to have been chosen by the 4U PLUS Network to host the academic conference and exhibition on its fourth year. Bannering the theme, “Transforming the Country through Art, Culture and Innovation,” the event aims to serve as a platform for the presentation and exhibition of academic and creative works of students, professionals, and other arts enthusiasts. Year after year, the immense popularity of this academic conference and creative exhibition to budding and professional artists both domestically and internationally is seen through the overwhelming submission of art works and academic researches. It has even gained great support from the Council of Arts and Design of Thailand. This year, the Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin was gracious enough to provide a venue for the international creative exhibition, thereby advancing the scope of cooperation to yet another level. Message from the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Bunditpatanasilpa Institute The National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture, and Design and the International Arts and Design Collaborative Exhibition are annual collaborative undertakings of private and public higher education institutions offering courses in arts and design. Collectively named as the 4U Plus Network, it consists of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Burapha University, the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Dhurakij Pundit University, the Faculty of Fine Arts – Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, and the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts – Prince of Songkhla University (Pattani Campus). The events aim to serve as a platform for students, professionals, and other arts enthusiasts to exhibit their creative works at the creative exhibition event, and/or present to the public their academic research outputs after review and approval of the committee members consisting of national experts. By building a network of individuals and institutions that will serve as the foundation for cooperative endeavors for the publication and exchange of knowledge in the field of arts, the 4U Network envisions the practical applicatioof these outputs – creative arts and design, and academic researches – towards sustainable development that actually benefits the society. Now in its 4th Year and with the entire 4U Network as hosts, the 2022 National Academic Conference for the Advancement in Art, Culture, and Design and the International Arts and Design Collaborative Exhibition bears the theme “Transforming the Country through Arts, Culture and Innovation.” The Faculty of Fine Arts –Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, which recently received recognition for their contribution to the His Majesty the King’s ASEAN Art and Culture Operation Building at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, is honored to have the support of the Council of Arts and Design of Thailand for this international undertaking. This year, both the national academic conference and international creative exhibition has attracted the attention of many arts professionals and enthusiasts who were gracious enough to submit their creative works and research outputs. Message from Dean of Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University The National Conference in Art, Culture, and Design and The4th International Arts and Designs Collaborative Exhibitions are collaborative projects among 4 universities in the 4U Plus network to create a platform for disseminating research papers and creative works. Arising from the academic services and research of lecturers, students, and artists all over the world in art and design. This cooperation is the fourth joint event in which every year there will be works submitted to participate in dissemination. Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University, as a co-host, was delighted to see the sustainability of the project. An exchange of artistic concepts, knowledge, experience, and culture in creating designs in a broader range as well as expanding knowledge to help improve the quality of art education at the national level for further progress. Message from Dean of Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus The government's policy has set the concept of Creative Economy and Digital Economy as one of the important mechanisms in driving the country's economy, with the Thailand 4.0 Policy as an important framework for driving Thailand. Under this conceptual framework, driving an economy depends on the use of individual knowledge, creativity, imagination, new ideas, and intellectual property by linking with social costs and cultural arts to develop digital technology and create modern innovations for the development of digital technology, the creation of modern innovations, and the creation of new entrepreneurs that can drive the economy from the bottom up to the macro level. Focus on changing and upgrading production processes and creating added economic values in both agricultural and industrial sectors in various dimensions. The 4th National Academic Conference and International Creative Exhibition of 2022 will be organized under the theme: Transforming the Country through Art, Culture and Innovation. This is considered an extension of the cooperation of universities, both the public and private sectors with teaching in the various field of arts which consists of Faculty of Fine Arts - Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts - Dhurakij Pundit University, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts - Burapha University and Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts - Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus (Partner network 4U Plus) as a platform for teachers, students, and general interested people to have the opportunity to transfer knowledge, research and creative works in the various field of arts to the public. It is also considered to develop creative research to be able to serve society sustainably in accordance with government policies. The Conference and the Art Exhibition are expected to contribute to the development of learning and teaching as well as to promote new aspects of art knowledge.
