EXAMINATION

This report provides a snapshot of the major activities and accomplishments of the
Examinations Section of CARE and forms a testament to the systematic planning and execution
of the various activities of the examination system.

It would be convincingly appropriate if a few lines are shared about the petrifying outbreak
and the impact of COVID-19. For the sake of the safety of the student community, faculty,
and staff, our university wisely decided to reschedule the academic calendar for the year
2019-20 which resulted in the blanket postponement of examinations to be held during March,
April, and May 2020.

The Examination Section carried out its obligations with a high degree of professionalism in
respect of the preparation and announcement of examination schedules, time tables,
registration of students for the regular and arrear papers, issuing Hall Tickets, question paper
setting, conducting examinations both theory and practicals as per the time tables and
evaluation of answer scripts by competent examiners and time-bound publication of results
and addressing the grievances of students in the assessment process.

The total number of programs offered by the university during the academic year 2019-20
was 60 out of which 31 were under semester pattern and 29 were under annual pattern. Our
university witnessed the next phase of its growth with the establishment of Schools for Law,
Architecture, Physiotherapy, and Pharmacy from the academic year 2019-20.

The list of students admitted to various programs in the year 2019-20 with relevant details
was received from Registrar’s office and appended to the database of students for the
examination process. All the changes in the curriculum and the regulations for the newly
started programs were received from the Heads of constituent colleges/schools. Necessary
steps were taken to update the panel of question paper setters and examiners for theory and
practical examinations.

EXAMINATIONS TIMETABLES AND ISSUING
OF HALL TICKETS

The Time Tables for various examinations were published through notice boards, websites, etc.
30 days and 45 before the commencement of examinations for a semester and annual
examinations respectively. The application forms for the university examinations containing
the details of papers the students have to appear including regular and arrear papers of
semesters/years if any, were uploaded on the university website and this enables easy
remittance of exam fees online by the students. The attendance particulars and the internal
assessment marks of the students are received from the constituent institutions through an
intranet. Based on this the Hall Tickets for university examinations were generated and issued
to the students through their respective institutions.

REFORMS IN CONDUCT OF EXAMINATIONS

The examination reforms implemented by the Examination Section during the year 2019-20
are listed hereunder.

1. Examination application forms uploaded on the university website to facilitate students
to pay the examination fees through online banking as a step towards a paperless office.

2. Seating arrangements for the examinations are displayed on the university website on
daily basis to provide a hassle-free examination environment to the students.

3. Providing photocopy of answer scripts of university examinations to the students thereby
enhancing the transparency of the evaluation process.

4. Revaluation of answer scripts of university examinations facilitating a channel to
students for revision of marks awarded.

5. The schedule of examinations includes the date of publication of results, a firm

commitment to the students.

6. Tailoring the Examinations Management Software to cater to the changing requirements

of regulations of the programs offered both existing and new.

We have complied with the directions from UGC to enter into a Service Level Agreement (SLA)
with National Academic Depository (NAD), to upload and store all academic awards (Degrees,
