The Six Cluster Programmes of SMK (Felda) Seri Sendayan (SMKFSS) is developed
with strong theoretical underpinnings of the Twelve Pillars inherent in the “Nilai
Murni Teras Etika Kerja Perkhidmatan Awam” with special focus inherent in the 3rd
Pillar – Keseronokan Bekerja (The Pleasure of Working). Moving forward in the
VUCA era, SMKFSS identifies emergent needs to address issues concerning
discontentment, unfavourable and less conducive working environment, and the
wavering solidarity and comradeship among the employees in SMKFSS amidst many
uncertainties due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The Academic Cluster ensures
the smooth operation of the academic department embracing new and best practices
for both face-to-face and online learning. The Welfare Cluster identifies students who
are directly affected by the pandemic utilising the Gerobok Rezeki (Food Stock) made
freely available in the school via contributions from generous NGOs and individuals.
Resourceful teachers with common interest band together under the Green Cluster
utilising the school compound for landscaping, agriculture and aquaculture activities.
Aspiring talents in creative writing among teachers becomes the genesis of the
Journalist Cluster. The Cyber Cluster encourages the acculturalization of ICT and IOT
in almost all daily operations in the school most especially concerning online teaching
and learning. The Volunteer Cluster carries out volunteer programmes to benefit the
students as well as the community surrounding the school. The development of the six
clusters successfully harmonizes meaningful and effective communications between
the school leaderships with the teaching and non-teaching staffs, thus developing a
conducive environment for all to carry out their duties effectively and consequently
providing avenues to explore their potentials even further within the scopes of the
respective clusters. The greater outcome is the ability to develop a solid team-work
spirit among staffs in their routine business in school as well as social services
involving smart partnerships with external bodies – the State and District Education
offices, PTA and School Alumni, NGOs and the local community at large. It sets the
goal towards becoming a prime example, exploring one’s potentials and developing
solidarity and camaraderie within and beyond the school – all for the benefit towards
realizing a desirable student outcome for all SMKFSS students.

Preface

Maintaining a conducive relationship between leaders and their leadership
through effective communication and strategic planning is crucial in
maintaining the excellence of an organisation. Concern and sensitivity to the
challenges hovering in the environment must be handled wisely. Accordingly,
creating tolerance without deterring the vision and mission should be a priority
in building new normal and management styles especially in this school.

The Principal, En. Shafie bin Mohd Noor took the opportunity to implement
a face-to-face programme with all the educators in Sekolah Menengah
Kebangsaan Felda Seri Sendayan. At his preliminary present in the school has
sparked the idea to build up a few clusters in 2020. The idea which resulted to
create 6 clusters is successfully formed. The 6 clusters consist of The
Academic Cluster, The Welfare Cluster, The Green Cluster, The
Journalist Cluster, The Cyber Cluster and The Volunteer Cluster. Each
cluster contributes to the teachers, students and the community surrounding
the school

Boundless cooperation among the teachers in all programmes have shown
achievement in the objectives of the programmes. The school managements
always give their full support especially the principal. The documentation and
the report of the establishment of the clusters’ activities throughout the year
2020 is enclosed.

THE CREATION OF CYBER CLUSTER

The Cyber Cluster was established after a Face-to-Face meeting by the principal which
aimed to find out the potential, talents, and interests of the school’s teachers. The
Principal himself is a person who is very interested in ICT knowledge and always gives
encouragement and motivation. He also gave an idea of how the culture of using ICT can
raise the image of the school and have an impact on the achievement of students and
the entire school community.
Through his observation, he found a group of teachers who have relevant interests,
potentials, and talents, then be able to work well with each other, in helping to make the
program a success as well as the aspirations of the school.
Starting just by using mobile phones for recording work, the cluster has taken a step
forward by seeking donations. The donation was used to build a studio equipped with
recording, editing and interview equipment. With the existence of ‘Cybergear Studio’, a
lot of work can be produced with the cooperation of the entire school community.
The group also maintains relationships with NGO parties such as 'Bridged Negaraku' for
charity activities. In addition, this group also collaborates and join venture with another
teacher, Cikgu Khairul Nizam bin Mohd Sopery who is also the Senior Assistant of
afternoon session of SK Bandar Enstek. He provided a lot of advice, help and insights in
technical terms, especially guiding the group in terms of Live FB and the appropriate
equipment to use for recording and so on.

Cyber clusters play a role in cultivating the use of ICT in the field of work of the school
community. This group assists the school and teachers in terms of ICT technical in all
programs that have been planned by the school community. Following this, the Cyber
Cluster under the guidance of the principal has applied for a contribution from the
Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation to produce a studio for the use of school
students.

Among the other main tasks is to ensure that online and offline teaching and learning
process can be carried out even without facing the students in real class but via the
DELIMA learning platform, especially the use of Google Classroom. The Cyber Cluster
guides teachers and students technically using the DELIMA platform. The cluster also
provides Professional Learning Community (PLC) and short videos on how to use this
platform to submit assignments and so on.

The Cyber Cluster also managed a series of school activities that were planned and
broadcast via the school's Live Facebook and Youtube, interviews with The District
Director Education of Seremban, Deputy District Education Officer of Seremban, PGB
United and cluster head teachers. The group is also actively involved in the making of a
simulation video in conjunction with the opening of the school in June 2020. The
purpose of making this video is so that students can be prepared for the new norm rules
that require all SOPs to be complied with.

In addition, the cluster also produces teachers and staffs ID cards as well as students
which are used to record attendance in the Datang.my database. The teachers’ ID card in
the form of Touch n Go provides many benefits to teachers and school communities.
This project is expected to be expanded to students by using better quality cards.

THE FORMATION OF CYBER CLUSTER

The Cyber Cluster has started working together since February 2020 using the Digital
Learning Portal of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (DELIMA). In the initial stage of the
involvement, the group started with the Head of Vocational Techniques Department
Cikgu Azian Aidawati binti Abd Aziz, ICT Teacher Cikgu Siti Zamzalina bt Isnin and the
Media Teacher Cikgu Nurhafizah bt Abd Rahman.
Following the announcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) by YAB Tan Sri
Muhyiddin bin Yassin, Prime Minister of Malaysia on 18 March 2020, schools nationwide
were also closed to curb the spread of Covid-19. Indirectly, the process of teaching and
learning which is conducted face to face is now switching to online method by complying
with the teaching and learning process directive issued by the Ministry of Education
Malaysia.
The Cyber Cluster teammates then expanded by involving three more teachers who have
interests and abilities in this field, The Data Teacher Cikgu Ruzaini bt Masiran (now The
Head of Science & Mathematics Department), English Teacher Cikgu Nor Sayeeda
Syazana bt Bakhtiar who is very capable in the field of hosting and Cikgu Norazekin bt
Muaaz who is a Design and Technology Teacher with talent and interest in video editing.

THE TEAMMATES OF CYBER CLUSTER

With the same interest and close cooperation, the group continues to make strides for
the coming year, with several activity plans that will take the community of SMK (Felda)
Seri Sendayan in a more glorious direction in line with the surrounding schools. Among
the plans is to produce a Digital class to facilitate the teaching and learning process to run
better using appropriate equipment and software.
Cyber cluster teammates will probably continue to grow by bringing in other friends who
have the interest, determination and positive attitude that can bring about the positive
change in organisations such as SMK Felda Seri Sendayan.

FORM 1 ORIENTATION WEEK
The Form 1 students gained new experinced once they are in the secondary school.
Experiencing new environment and learning compared to the primary school is the
vital step in their secondary years. With the help of the orientation week, the
students are exposed to the differences of socialising with new friends, new teachers,
new uniforms, new atmosphere, and place, and most notably the addition of more
new subjects than in the primary school.
In contrast to previous years, the Form 1 Orientation Week was held on 20 January
2021 until 22 January 2021, starting as early as 8 am until 12.30 pm. This orientation
is done online and offline organised by the Counseling Unit of SMK (Felda) Seri
Sendayan. Students could watch it on Youtube or Telegram.

FORM 4 ORIENTATION WEEK
The teachers of SMK (Felda) Seri Sendayan are always faced with various educational
problems that are increasingly challenging. This needs to be faced with maturity,
patience, knowledge, and wisdom. In order to achieve the school vision, students
must be remembered, mobilized, motivated, and exposed to basic information from
the very beginning so that the goals of the teaching and learning process of their
upper secondary education run more clearly and effectively. Therefore, this
orientation program is expected to trigger self -transformation among students with
physical and mental preparation towards a more positive direction and then realize
the vision and mission of the school.

MONITORING THE SCHOOL OPENING 2021
The monitoring is done by some officers from the Negeri Sembilan
Education Department. Their arrival at the school, is to ensure that the school
complies with the SOPs that have been outlined in the "School Opening Guide
Under the Ministry of Education Malaysia Year 2021". Monitoring was
conducted around the school grounds on January 20, 2021 at 7:30 a.m.

Submission of Textbooks & the Operational of the SMKFSS book shop
for 2021

The program was implemented on 22 January until 4 February 2021,
according to the schedule set by Kelab SPBT and Koperasi Bhd SMKSS. The
operation took place at the Physics Laboratory, face to face. This program
involves parents of Form 1 to Form 5 students.

Appreciation Ceremony for The School’s Community
A total of 70 people consisting of teachers, staffs, janitors and security guards of
SMK (Felda) Seri Sendayan, were celebrated by the Management of SMK (Felda)
Seri Sendayan. The ceremony was held on 25 January 2021, starting at 8.00 am
until 12.30 pm. The presentation of souvenirs was delivered by the Principal in the
yard of the new building.

’ZIARAH CAKNA’ SERIES 1
’Ziarah Cakna’ Series 1 on 02 February 2021 which involved a family in
Kampung Jimah Lama. Their two children are SMK (Felda) Seri Sendayan
students. The family lost the head of the family due to health problems. This
time, the HEM Unit provided two units of smartphones to the two students, with
the aim of making it easier for the students to follow the teaching and learning
process online.
Also present at the Ziarah Cakna Program were Tn Haji Md Fiah Bin Jamin,
the Education Director of JPNS and En Aziruddin, the Headmaster of SK
Sendayan.

Teachers’ Appreciation Ceremony 2.0 & Tablet Handover Ceremony 2021
The ceremony was held on February 5, 2021, at 8:00 am in the grounds of the
new building. The Aspiration Ceremony aims to appreciate the teachers who
have full attendance throughout 2020. Meanwhile, the Tablet Handover
Ceremony was held to appreciate the tablet contribution from Mr. Zuhairi bin
Adnan, Former Senior Assistant of Administration and Academic of SMK
(Felda) Seri Sendayan to 4 selected students . This donation helps the
students to join the online learning process at home.

OFFICAL VISIT PROGRAMME
Tn Azmi Bin Basir, Deputy Director, School Management Sector, JPNS and Tn
Aminuddin bin Kamisan, Senior Assistant Director, JPNS, spent time visiting
SMK (Felda) Seri Sendayan and motivating Form 5 students in 2020, in facing
SPM 2020 challenge. The visit was held on 8 February 2021, at 10:00 am,
around the new SMKSS building. They were also taken by the principal to see
the Cyber Studio and held an interview recording session at the Cyber Studio.

Interview and Motivation for SPM Candidates 2020 with the RTM
The face -to -face school session for all candidates for the Sijil Pelajaran
Malaysia (SPM) Examination in 2020 will end on 9 February. In a circular
dated February 4 (Thursday), the Director General of Education informed that
the school session was ended earlier to give space for candidates to prepare
themselves before the examination begins on February 22.
On 9 February 2021, at 9:00 am, RTM Negeri Sembilan, consisting of 3 crew
members, came to SMK (Felda) Seri Sendayan, to interview SPM candidates
in 2020. This recording was shown 'live' in the news of RTM TV1, 8:00 p.m.

The Last Day of Face -To – Face Learning and SPM Briefing
On 9 February 2021, at 2:00 pm a briefing was held for all teachers and SPM 2020
candidates in the examination hall. SPM candidates were given the rules and
regulations of examination and they had their blessing from the teachers before going
home.

’ZIARAH CAKNA’ PROGRAMME SERIES 2
A journey of a life

Ziarah Cakna Series 2 on 27 February 2021 involved a family in Kampung
Jimah Lama. Their two children are the students of SMK (Felda) Seri
Sendayan. Highly appreciation to Tuan Haji Norazam bin Haji Nayan, Chief
Education Officer of Seremban District and his wife to spend time caring for the
orphaned family in Jimah Lama in the Ziarah Cakna SMKFSS Program and
subsequently handed over the 2021 Early Schooling Assistance to the student.
Millions of thanks to all the contributors and philanthropists who did not stop
contributing time, energy and money to make this part of the Ziarah Cakna
SMKFSS 2021 Program a success. This donation is used to repair the roof
and electrical connections in the student's house.

’Lambaian Syukur ’ Programme of SPM 2020
The last day for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates in 2020 is on 19
March 2021. This is the first group to successfully complete the SPM
examination. Overwhelmed to see the students of SMKFSS perform a
prostration of gratitude after ending their responsibilities as SPM Pro Max
candidates for the Year 2020.
Now they are no longer to be in this school but as a token of remembrance,
they left a special doodle for us on the hanging screen.
The school Principal and SMKFSS educators also gave souvenirs as a token
of our love and we always wish excellent success for all.
Not to forget, the school would also like to thank En. Rozi and also Mr.
Shahrizan, a representative from the Negeri Sembilan Education Department
who participated in the bid of farewell and gratitude ceremony.

Launching of Drug Prevention Education Program
(PPDa) at School Level

On 25 March 2021, there was an online Launch of Drug Prevention Education Program
(Ppda) at School Level entitled Crime Prevention Among Adolescents from the
Perspective of PDRM & AADK. The talk was delivered by YDP CP Dato 'Sri Abd
Rahim Jaafar, Director of Internal Security Department State and Public Order
(JKDNKA) with Tuan Mohd Azli Bin Senin, Deputy Director of the Sawarak National
Anti -Drug Agency

FORM 5 STUDENTS’ ONLINE ASSEMBLY
The idea came from a teacher, when he saw the attendance of students in online
teaching and learning process was declining. The purpose of this gathering is to
motivate the students. The program started with Form 5 students and was followed in
the following weeks by Form 4, Form 3, Form 1 and Form 2.
This first gathering was technically hosted by Cyber Cluster and has involved two
Google Meet links.

Awal Muharram Talk by special guest Tn. Hj Dahrom - 1443H
The program was held in conjunction with the Early Celebration of Muharram 1443H,
on August 9, 2021, at 8:30 pm at their respective homes online (Google Meet). As
the Technical Committee, Cyber provides the Google Meet link, and ensures the
program runs smoothly. The guest speaker is a Principal at SMA (JAIM) Assaiyidah
Khadijah, Melaka, Tuan Haji Dahrom bin Haji Hashim. The theme of the beginning of
Muharram is "Manhaj Rabbani, Quality Ummah".
