Assalamualaikum WBT
Greetings and a very warm welcome to our 2nd issue of 2020, June-Nov issue.
Perceptions, views, and opinions will change with time and experience. When we first needed
to face the challenges of implementing the Online Distance Learning (ODL) as Covid-19 was
assaulting the world, as educators, most of us, without any doubts, were very skeptical about
our abilities and capabilities. Could we really do this?
Amazingly, when we were left with no choice but to deal with it, we could see how Covid-19
has transformed us into better educators (in some ways). At the end of the 20202 session, we
slowly embraced the fact that the ODL has had great, positive impacts. It has helped UiTM
to reduce some utility costs, increase convenience and flexibility in the teaching-and-learning
process, and make us more technologically savvy and virtually skillful employees.
Of course, the ODL has come with flaws, too. The ODL has required us to exercise self-
discipline and time-management skills as online learning means students getting less guidance
from lecturers rather than traditional learning. Online learning basically removes rigid
scheduled meeting times and deadlines due to its flexibility and, as a result, our students must
put themselves in a driver’s seat when it comes to their ongoing and independent education.
The second flaw that I could highlight is the diminishing of social interactions. Going back into
traditional four-wall classrooms, we could imagine a mixture of lively group discussions and
big laughs with students raising their hands to ask their lecturer questions that have abruptly
crossed their minds. Admittedly, these moments have not seemed to appear as naturally in
online learning.
Debating about the goods and bads of the ODL would trigger long debates and discussions.
But, eventually, everything would merely depend on what we are actually trying to deliver
to our students. It doesn’t matter what media we’re using, what technology we’re adapting
to, and which learning management platform we’re channeling everything through, as Gail
Godwin once has said, “Good teaching is ¼ preparation and ¾ theatre”. Hence, prepare a
great theatre and the audience would be moved for their lifetime.
Happy ODL, everyone!
Wassalamualaikum WBT

Mosque is a sacred symbol for
Muslims. It is not only a place
where Muslims perform their
daily prayers but also plays a vital
role as a centre of many activities,
either directly related to worshipping or non-
worshipping activities. The mosque is a place for the
Muslim community to do social activities, such as
learning, discussions, and community development.

terbaik pasti melengkapkan siri pelancongan anda.

Hotel Kapsul mempunyai ruang
kapsul yang unik dan disediakan
bersama loker peribadi. Namun,
tandas dan kapsul lelaki dan wanita
biasanya diasingkan. Selain itu, rumah
penginapan berkonsepkan tradisional
Jepun, atau dikenali sebagai Ryokan,
sering menjadi tumpuan pelancong
termasuk keindahan tasik, restoran makanan tempatan, hotel, perkampungan budaya, taman
Tandas Elektronik Berteknologi Tinggi
Kecanggihan sistem tandas elektroniknya amat menyenangkan semua pengguna.
38
Tandasnya bukan sahaja mempunyai beberapa jenis
was. Namun, anda perlu pastikan restoran berkenaan benar-benar menawarkan makanan yang
halal dengan mempamerkan logo-logo halal yang disahkan. Berdasarkan kajian Yamaguchi
dipercayai.
Mesin Layan Diri (Vending Machine)
beras, minuman, makanan bergoreng, jambangan
menarik anugerah terindah buat negara Jepun. Semua musim mempunyai tarikannya yang
tersendiri.
