LVG-10/1st Quarter/2019-20
The aisles and passages of Lotus Valley International School chirped
with laughter and mirth as yet another academic session rolled on. It is
with great pride and pleasure that we bring forth the first edition of the
quarterly e-magazine for the year 2019-20. The importance of keeping
the parents abreast with all the happenings of the school through this
platform, cannot be stressed enough. With renewed energy, we set adrift
on yet another daunting journey, full of thrill and excitement.
The month of April buzzed with new levels of joy as the learners of each
grade settled themselves in their new classes. Welcome activities,
assemblies, workshops, competitions, championships, special visits, open
house and of course the CBSE results kept the school in high spirits.
The Orientation Programme held for the new members of the Lotus
Valley family was a successful effort in making the parents aware of
the ethos of the school. The learners of Grades X and XII made us
proud with their spectacular results.
It is through these activities that we make our learners push their
limits, strive for excellence and instil in them, the confidence to face the
world and surpass the challenges and evolve as finer individuals. The
following pages of the magazine will give you a deeper insight into our
escapade, so sit back and come aboard to travel with us through the
medium of this magazine.
Happy Reading!
John Dewey, an American philosopher, psychologist,
and an eminent educational reformer had
said, “Education is not preparation for life; education
is life itself”. Knowledge gives us the power to make
decisions that effectively change the course of our
life. For every nation, society and family, education of
the future citizens is the premise of their progress.
Every year we welcome new students to join our family
and be aspired in every way to make their dreams come
true. We are glad that you have placed supreme
confidence in us to help shape your child’s future. Lotus
Valley International School, Gurgaon is a ‘School for DR. SHAYAMA CHONA
Life’ where we acknowledge the truth that the knowledge Padma Shri &
imparted today may not stay relevant in the future.

Through various programmes, a sincere effort is made to foster academic, social,
emotional, physical and mental growth of the learners. Our teachers, under the
dynamic leadership of Mrs. Anita Malhotra, have been working hard to address
the needs of the learners individually and help them develop holistically as a great
citizen of the world. We have come a long way and I am euphoric to share that our
teachers work with the solitary objective of creating leaders, who have the capability
of changing the trajectory of organizations, society, and of the nation for the better.
Our learners are encouraged to work hard and take each other forward as one
family not just in academics but also in all spheres of life.
Someone has rightly said that Creativity inspires Ideas andIideas inspire
Change. As parents, the best you can do is not to restrict the thinking process of
the children. Let them be what they want to be; let them live a life that defines
success in happiness quotient and not the materialistic possessions; let them live a
life with no regrets. For only happy children today will create a happy world
tomorrow!
At Lotus Valley International School we strive to
harness the individual potential of our learners while
providing them with an opportunity to grow in a safe
and a comfortable environment that encourages
inquisitiveness, responsiveness and respect for
others. With a plethora of activities spread across
the year, we are strongly focused on supporting our
learners to develop the right attitudes and
competencies to become successful global citizens of
this ever-changing world. As it is truly said,
Knowledge is power, information is liberating.
Education is the premise of progress, in every
society, in every family.
Sharing and accepting what others do, feel, aspire and MS ANITA MALHOTRA
believe in, is an integral part of education at Lotus State & CBSE Awardee
Valley. It teaches one to be sensitive, to respond in love
and generosity, to care and to share.
In the true spirit of this vision and to craft socially conscious individuals, community
service and dignity of labour have been integrally incorporated in the school system so
that our learners develop a sense of responsibility and pride in serving and respecting
others.
We truly believe that both academic excellence and co-curricular activities are
essential elements of education required for building leaders of tomorrow. It gives me
immense satisfaction to see our learners developing holistically. This has also been
made possible because we are blessed with a fantastic group of learners who love
being nurtured into a new way of thinking and doing. It speaks volumes about the
fact that our learners can really change the world.
I look forward to the support of parent fraternity for making this Academic Session
yet another remarkable year with many new and significant milestones to showcase.
I hope you have a great time reading the magazine!

ENTRÉE PROGRAMME -26TH March, 2019
As is rightly said by Helen Keller,
“Alone we can do so little, together
we can do so much.”
On 26th March, our school conducted the
Entrée programme, an event efficiently and
smoothly conducted by the class teachers in
the respective classrooms.
It served as a great platform for the parents to
familiarise themselves with scholastic and co-
scholastic activities that their child would
undertake in the forthcoming year.
The programme was effective in enlightening
the parents with the infrastructure and
amenities available to their wards. The
valuable suggestions and feedback of the
parents laid the foundation of a productive
year ahead.
