Our Emmy / Oscar Timeline

In 2011, the documentary series What’s Your Dream? directed by Paula Gomez
and produced by Mi Chica Producciones won Chile’s first International Emmy
Kids Award under the category Best Series: Children & Young People.

In 2015, the series won for a second time, this time in the category for Best
Documentary.

2016 marks the year that Chile received its first ever Oscar for the short Bear Story
directed by Gabriel Osorio and produced by PunkRobot, under the Animated
Shorts category.

Just two years later, in 2018, we were back at it again, this time with two winners:
In February, A Fantastic Woman, directed by Sebastián Lelio and produced by
Fábula, took the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. While in November, the
miniseries The suspended Morning, directed by Hernán Caffiero and produced
Tridi 3D Films won an Emmy in the Best Short Series category.
