2022 was a year of tremendous progress for The Dune Group. Our teams responded brilliantly to the unprecedented challenges that we faced in what was a turbulent year. We celebrated our 30th anniversary. A major achievement in itself and one of which we should all be proud. We saw a big return to shopping in store and thanks to the excellent response from our retail teams the results have been outstanding. The Legend Book recognises many of the team that have gone above and beyond, whether it be helping colleagues, taking initiative or just doing that bit extra in their role. Many congratulations to those that appear in the Book, and a big thank you to all of you that have helped to make Dune the leading affordable luxury footwear and accessories brand. LINSAY LONG 206 BANBRIDGE Diving into new challenges is not easy but supporting the Maasmechelen store came naturally to our mega-Manager Linsay. Willing to stay away from home and sell in a foreign market – and with a completely new team under her wing - she took on this personal and professional responsibility with seamless proficiency. Thanks to her legendary communication skills and energetic dedication, her new team have now been trained to the highest levels. Linsay’s strong decisionmaking abilities and ambition have delivered outstanding results too. A credit to the company, she holds the accolade of the highest single day sales for the Belgian store, at over €10,000.

TORONTO DASILVA TRADING SUPPORT ANALYST Consistently helpful and kind to everyone, this IT trouble-shooter is a true Dune London legend. Every morning he walks around the office checking if any of the teams or directors need IT assistance. By prioritising others and flexing his time and talents to help others first, the teams can run smoother. A real problem solver, he always responds lightning fast on Teams to sort any issues when CSO members work from home. Toronto is always so cheerful and willing to help, going above and beyond to support the teams with IT requests. He exudes positivity and patience to deliver outstanding support to the business.
LEXY LEE-FELLOWS 198 SPRINGFIELD A Store Manager has many roles to play, and Lexy excels at every one of them. As a role model, she inspires and leads by example, always providing a stimulating and fun work environment. As a brand ambassador, she consistently delivers the Dune experience to all customers and is friendly, respectful and approachable. As a mentor, she supports her team’s wellbeing and work/life balance, playing a huge part in their job satisfaction. The legendary Lexy maintains high expectations that are driven by her infectious passion for the company and products, whilst her commitment and energy means she steps up to support any store, no matter the distance. Without Lexy going above and beyond we simply wouldn’t have been able to trade some stores.

BARBARA RICHARDS 199 BRIDGEND Our hero of the hour. There have been so many times when Barbara literally saved the day, we’d be lost without her. Her legendary team spirit and energy, particularly over the past year, has meant that the Bridgend store has been able to stay open and operate at a high level. Barbara is so flexible and generous with her time, if someone is unable to make a shift it’s always Barbara who quickly answers SOS messages with a chirpy ‘I am on my way!’ She brings heart and soul to the store, always spoiling the team with her fabulous homemade Welsh cakes – a culinary wizard and true asset to the business.
SOPHIE GRAY MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT It’s brilliant to see someone excel in two different departments. Sophie has spent nearly five years at Dune London, her first four years in the buying team, and then successfully transitioning to the finance team a year ago. This legendary learner has done a fantastic job picking up complexities from VAT, to fixed assets, to intercompany reconciliations. Now she's moving onto another new role in the team, all the while showing commitment and a positive approach to achieving her personal and business goals.

TAFADZWA TIYEMBA WAREHOUSE STOCK INTEGRITY OPERATIVE Bringing his A-game and a smile on his face, Taf always goes above and beyond. When it comes to the Stock Integrity Team, nothing is too much for our legend, whether fulfilling customer orders or helping at the warehouse, he’s ready to get stuck into any issues. He not only takes personal responsibility and pride in his role, but also makes time to support others in doing better too. With Taf at the helm all jobs are finished to a high standard and any errors rectified by the end of the day. He’s a pleasure to have around the warehouse and a crucial part of the team.
SARAH MONDEL INTERNATIONAL MERCHANDISER The glue that keeps the Franchise team together, Sarah has a fantastic team spirit and legendary attitude to hard work. Her ongoing effort to build strong relationships around the business and help everyone work together is inspiring. Her remarkable relationship with both the finance and logistics teams really helps the franchise team during very stressful budget and dispatch periods. Then there’s her famous ‘B&M Bake Off Sweepstake’, ‘International Lunches’ and of course ‘Secret Santa for Franchise’ traditions. With the ambition and confidence to make things happen, she always has a smile on her face and creates an enjoyable and stimulating work environment. SCOTT FITZGERALD GROUP HEAD OF PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT Undertaking all tasks with the highest level of professionalism and patience, our property development legend has already provided CSO with fantastic new premises. Even with a very small team, he’s able to bring all our stores and business spaces to life with his furnishing and finishing options. Scott is always supportive and committed, thinking not just about the commercial task in hand but also about the personal wellbeing of his peers. With his high energy levels, hard work and muchloved witty approach to diplomacy, it’s no wonder he’s been an asset to the business for decades.
ENZA LANG 155 MILTON KEYNES Adored by her team and customers alike (who come in and ask for her by name as well as emailing over compliments), Enza has been an amazing addition to the store team. A productivity superstar, she achieved 92% Mystery Shopper in her first month, swiftly followed by achieving Silver level of DDE within the next few months. One to watch, she is smashing KPIs and achieving 100% at In The Know. Not to mention being a legendary link seller, appearing in Let’s Talk Talent each week and achieving a 100% Mystery Shop result too, the top for not just the area but the whole company. Nothing can hold Enza back - not even a fractured wrist! Her commitment the role is just the start of the amazing career she has ahead.

PAM KAHOL 155 MILTON KEYNES Always motivated and driven, this year Pam went above and beyond with her determination to succeed. Pam celebrates and encourages her team like no one else, providing a work environment that is fun and enjoyable as well as being stimulating and challenging. Little wonder she manages to secure such fantastic performance across all KPIs. Like a true legend, Pam is currently holding the area crown for email capture, mobile sales percentage, the highest conversion and the highest Mystery Shop average for the area too. When it comes to company incentives, Pam makes it her mission to win every single one, quite regularly succeeding!
BEVERLY HILL 260 GATWICK Our very own first-class legend. Beverly’s fantastic network within Gatwick Airport hugely benefitted us by speeding up processes and securing the team members passes. She is a fountain of knowledge and expert on ‘all things airport’, thanks to her friendly, respectful and team spirited nature. With the airport facing difficult circumstances, her hard work and dedication in getting our store in the South Terminal reopened was remarkable. Whilst her energy and ambition to on-board the team and energise them in time for a strong opening, made all the difference.

JADE RODGERS 260 GATWICK Jade flew through the turbulence of opening South like a true legend. Due to restrictions around team passes, she had to help open the South store using only the North team, while still fully operating North too! Throw in additional team member absences and Jade single-handedly prepared the store with her usual energy and positivity - deep cleaning, merchandising and preparing the stockroom for opening. She managed to deliver outstanding results, even while bouncing between both stores, and without losing any trading hours either.
RASA ZELEZKAITE WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE A legend across the DC, Rasa’s performance and productivity is always outstanding. Consistently one of the top performers, she really does set the benchmark for others. Her proficient and unfailingly attitude, and ability to go above and beyond, is admired by everyone. Plus, she’s always able to think outside the box to actively drive change. With a warm and lively disposition, she also makes special effort to help individuals in need by sorting out training requirements like a true legend. Nothing is too much trouble for Rasa, and she always completes tasks with enthusiasm and commitment.

RUTH EASTER INTERNAL AUDITOR To say Ruth goes above and beyond to support new managers and supervisors would be an understatement. She is always available to support managers with their end of day, cashing up or enactor queries over the phone or email, often following up to ensure they understand the advice she has given and how they can avoid similar issues in the future. Managers feel more confident knowing that she will give them clear guidance, always making herself available to them. She creates a comfortable environment for question-asking and constantly remains very patient. Her feedback is always truly positive and she’s a real Dune London legend.
ARIANNA HORBURY 213 MEADOWHALL A super Sale star. Arianna didn’t let Covid get the better of the Meadowhall Sale launch, even with half her team off sick. With her steely determination and dedication, our legend Arianna not only successfully launched the sale, but also achieved a fantastic 14% lift on the previous year. Volunteering to work around the clock to ensure the team were supported and with trading hours remaining 10am to 9pm daily, her commitment and sense of responsibility delivered really outstanding results.

LORRAINE LAVERTY 202 GLASGOW Nothing is too much trouble for our legendary Lorraine. An iconic seller, Lorraine may only work a 20-hour week, but in that time her energy and authenticity in understanding the product means she consistently takes over 30% of the weekly average store sales. She takes the top spot every week for Sales, Productivity and Commission potential and regularly wins additional company incentives too. But sale-related performance is only the half of it. One of the hardest workers, from cleaning to fill-ups, shiftswapping to serving, Lorraine always puts herself forward to help others. Most importantly, she never complains. Her friendly and respectful manner means she’s beloved by team members and customer alike, and her kindness and generosity makes her a pleasure to be around.
ROXANA TEACA AND RUSHELLE EATON 505 OXFORD STREET JOHN LEWIS Our very own dream team. Roxana and Rushelle really made all the difference in the John Lewis Oxford Street store. Launching the first Dune London Kids department, they showed their team spirit and passion for the products and continue to build the strength of the brand across the department store, week after week. Through their hard work and legendary commitment, they’ve contributed to a double-digit lift in sales. Both Roxana and Rushelle continue to be brilliant brand ambassadors and work tirelessly to elevate Dune London within John Lewis, while also gaining us valuable extra space and options.

Her support goes above and beyond, working outside her shifts, to ensure we keep our relationship the strongest it can be, which is highly appreciated by both us at Dune London, and the John Lewis team too.
CHRIS GLANVILLE TRANSPORT AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER Anyone who knows Chris would agree he’s an absolute legend. He manages a busy DC administration department while personally dealing with all manner of CSO requests, yet his energy and passion to commit to decisions always delivers outstanding results. When recently coordinating the supply of donated Dune London shoes to a Ukrainian charity, Chris arranged all the picking, packing and delivery of this stock – then also went above and beyond to deliver it all in person to the Leicester Ukrainian Centre. A true example of thinking outside the box to drive positive change.

Let’s not forget how well she also managed both these sites with major staffing challenges. MARIA COREY 255 BELFAST The whole Belfast team feel truly lucky to work alongside Maria, thanks to her supportive nature and team spirit. In two short years she passed her Silver level of DDE, swiftly progressing up to Gold. Hardly surprising given the level of dedication she gives to the store and team, as well as every single customer she serves. Maria lives and breathes the product and is a true brand ambassador in and out of work. This legend even takes time out of work hours to help prepare for meetings and keep in contact with other Managers about in-store communication. No stranger to Let’s Talk, she’s often mentioned for consistent high sales and receives excellent feedback on post purchase sales, well-deserved recognition for her commitment to the business.
PAOLA MURATORI SENIOR PEOPLE ADVISOR Paola is the definition of a Dune London Legend and her fine-tuned Excel skills have been so appreciated in the People team. For the second year in a row, she’s calculated and analysed the complexity of our Gender Pay Gap, which although outside of her remit was executed with precision and due-diligence. A social star, Paola organises social committee meetings and takes an active role in the relationship with our charity partner. Whilst arranging CSO events around her normal workload, Paola exudes positive energy and still manages to support her team. She does all of this with a bundle of energy and commitment, a true credit to the business.
