THE MAGICAL FOREST PONY!! IV-ACACIA

Emma was 13 and loved animals. She begged and begged for a pet but mom had

made up her mind in saying NO! Emma asked one for Christmas and her birthday but

mom had found her way to stop Santa and gave a silly toy for her birthday as last

time her brother got a stray cat in the house. It wracked mum’s kitchen and broke the

flower pot. It was a summer morning and Emma was heading for school. Everyone

had pets but Emma L! Draya and Mia kept teasing Emaa. How she wished to teach

them a lesson but that would be possible with a pet againL. At school Emma’s

teacher said there is a pet talent show is coming next Friday. Now Emma needed a

pet and even if she get one she had to train it in week’s time. What could she do?

Later after school while other children played foortball more than sitting and looking

at them Emma spotted a strange bird and followed it....soon it went into a magical hill

and Emma followed it. Inside she found a giant ant hill. Just with a door and

colourful! Moving in Emma found a pretty little Unicorn. They both played together

for a while . Emma introduced herself and asked if the Unicorn was interested in

participating in talent show? Guess what??.....The unicorn said her name was Cora

and she had magical powers and was very much interested!!! Hurrey! So on Friday

both of them gave a outstanding performance which left Draya’s and Mia’s mouth

wide open and finally Emaa had a pet.

THE DAY SANDY CAME HOME !

On a beautiful thursday evening with a ripe red sky I was taking a look at the telly
waiting for it to arrive. Five minutes later I heard something with great excitement I
rushed out of the room. Oh! it was finally there the "SANDY” the ROBOTIC
VACCUME CLEANER". What a cute little fellow and it reminds me of how we
picked his name. A week before the robot came home after me and my family had
lunch on four slips of paper we all wrote the names we wanted for the robot. Then I
closed my eyes and picked up one slip and there was the name "Sandy"!
We bought Sandy as there was lot to clean in the house and everyone was getting of
tired with the cleaning work! Of course due to covid scare we couldn’t let the maid
didi come home and help us in our daily cleaning work.
So we all decided to call an emergency family meeting with all the board members
(four of us in family) and finally the decision was declared that we should get Sandy
home to help us in our cleaning work.
Since the day Sandy came home every day we make space for it to do its job. Sandy
is part of family now who has given us all feeling of relief from cleaning work and
feel safe! A big thanks to you Sandy and yes we all love you!

Once there was a girl called Zoe. Zoe had a beautiful house she loved it very

much. Her favourite place was the garden. It was filled with flowers, birds, trees

and butterflies. Soon Zoe’s mom said that it was time for them to move to a

different house. Zoe was heart broken on hearing the news. Her elder sister said
she might find better places then the garden. Zoe said there is no place better

than this garden but then she agreed to move to a new house along with her

family. She still had hopes to get back to her old house and its beautiful garden

again but as soon as she heard the news that someone else is moved into her old

house and her garden has been converted into skating ground she lost all her
hopes. The next day Zoe went to school and was very upset. Everyone asked

Zoe about the reason for sadness. When she told the story to her friend,

everyone suggested her to try the new house as she might find something better

in the new house exactly what Zoe’s sister told her.

And that night Zoe discovered a window in the house that showed different parts
of the world. She loved it more than the Garden!!

THE CHRISTMAS TREE COOKIE MISHA VASAL
IV-ACACIA

Once there lived a girl called Lim. Lim was tea and really liked eating cookies. It
was only a day before Christmas and mom had promised her to make cookies.
Being excited Lim jumped in the bed and fell asleep in few minutes. She dreamt
about a Christmas tree cookie it had a beautiful dark green frosting with little red
balls on it along with a yellow star on top of the tree but as soon as Lim touched it
changed colour. The she touched the red balls they played funny tunes. But when
she touched the star she could she could talk to Santa while talking to Santa. While
talking to Santa she heard a sound......she came to real life as she woke up and
realised the sound was of her alarm clock J.She quickly jumped out of her bed and
ran all around her house saying Merry Christmas. Then at 7 o’clock she got on bus
waving her mom and dad goodbye. At school she bought some plum cake and
chocolate milk for lunch. While having lunch she talked to her best friends – Mia
and Emma. They played some Christmas fun games like – spot the snowman,
throwing snowballs at each other etc. Then her mother texted on her mobile that she
could invite Mia and Emma for sleepover. After Lim shared the great news everyone
went home. On the way home the three of them sang carols all the time. When they
reached lim’s house her mom had made fresh Christmas pudding, The girls could
sleep for a while and at 7 the cookies will be served with tea. Lim couldn’t sleep at
the begging but later she fell asleep. When the cookies were served Lim saw the
same Christmas tree cookies. She said she will eat in her room and guess what all
the magic was happening? When she called Santa she was so delighted and Santa
invited her to tea with him and that too a day after Christmas but then she asked how
can she get to his place from her house. He said all she has to do us dream about
him and her having tea together. That night she dreamt about Santa and her . In the
morning she woke up in Santa's house with all her family members. They all had a
great day together!

VI-NILE STUDIES

FIRE AND ICE

Fire and ice , Oh studies ,studies everywhere

Both are nice I am tired studying all the time

Oh no I want to get rid of this for

Fire keeps us warm in cold winter days sometime

While ice helps us to have relief after a

hot day But my mother says that

Study is the base of life

Fire in Lohri Which will stay with you throughout

Ice in Christmas the life

But both of them fall in winter That no one can take away with strife

Fire and ice are all god made Studying is a golden rule for success
So we should be thankful to him And a blessing for bright prospects

Lets be kind like god and So if you want to make your life
Invite positive thoughts Then start now
Touch your goal to say wow
LIFE

Life is best when you rest THE MOON…
Rest on the bed and have a tight sleep
So that you get dreams which are deep Oh night oh night
The beauty is admirable
If you dream something then you could do it Moon the queen of night
Only if you work hard you could achieve it
Beauty in every glance
If your dreams come true Like a huge big diamond in the
You feel the sky is blue paradise

But when your dreams do not come true Its so big like the sun
You feel like you have no clue But at the same time beautiful like
What to do next ? A twinkling star

But don’t lose your hope Wow it’s the best thing I have ever
Keep trying and achieve your destination seen
So that one day everybody remembers Like a diamond pure and clean
you in the nation

LAVANYA BAJAJ DREAMS
VI-NILE Dreams are imaginary
But not always
WHEN I GROW I WILL BE A … May be it comes true

Art, art everywhere I see I think if we work hard then it would
It’s a God blessed gift come true
Which only few people have Always my dream is to score 100
percent
Me too I know its not a big dream but still
I love art I can do it breathlessly I really want this to happen
I feel I get relaxed doing art
What’s your dream ?
Do you feel the same ? What is it related to ?
What do you think about art ? I am getting excited to know from you .
I know each one of you would love to
do art So if you have any dream
Let’s work hard together
I hope I become an artist when And achieve it faster
I grow up
Just waiting for that day So lets start from today…
And you ? What do you want to be
when you grow up ?

GRATITUDE
As we all know

Gratitude means you should be happy and satisfied with whatever you have and not be

greedy and ask for more

Like for example the trees keep giving and giving their shelter and fruits
Like the water bodies keep giving and giving water

Like air keeps always giving and giving oxygen

Like plants keep giving us food

And many more things in nature keep giving and giving always

Usually people want much more than what others have
In other words it means that people are jealous from each other
They want to show that they are more rich
They do not work hard and want that God should do everything
But we all should have gratitude like God so, each one of you give me a promise that
you will always show gratitude

Appreciation for the support during tough times of
COVID 19 (Rehat Kaur - Nursery Dahliyas)

Dear Madam,

My daughter Rehat Kaur is studying in your school -class Nursery Dahliyas. We appreciate that
school has organised online classes for all the students during this pandemic.

However, our family have been victims of virus COVID 19. In June 2020, I was first to be
diagnosed as COVID+ve and then In November 2020, My wife was also diagnosed as COVID+ve
and in January 2021, Rehat was also diagnosed as COVID+ve. As a result, Rehat had to be kept in
isolation on these 3 occasions. Not only she had to abstain from attending on-line classes but she
had to undergo mental trauma of separation from her family. As a result, her studies suffered a lot.

But this loss was compensated by the help provided by her two teachers: Ms Sheetal Mahajan and
Ms Isha Vohra. Both these teachers have been very much supportive. They made calls to enquire
about her health, regularly spoke to Rehat during the isolation period and then took extra classes to
make up for the loss. Despite this help, they never treated her a laggard, rather provided her every
possible assistance. They mailed us the curriculum, so that we can understand the gap and organise
time accordingly. We would like to thank them for their support during the tough times.

This is school is the first institution for her to ascend the academic career path. And the staff and this
school has given a first step with a confidence which will enable her to subsequently take big strides
in her career. We value the contribution made by the school and shall ever remember it.

Regards
Amitoz Singh

My Santas belong to LVIS !!

Good afternoon Ma'am,
Wishing you and your team a very Happy New Year !!
This mail is delayed by almost a month...reason - am not too good at writing formal
mails, hence the hitch, uneasyness and countless edits...and yet, here I am making an
unsuccessful attempt in writing one.
I won't be at peace until I share and express my feelings, so kindly pardon me for
following this informal style.

Respected Ma'am,
I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to all the mentors of Grade IV Banyans.
A lot 'not so happy' went into the last year....but I also hold memories of moments
which brought ease, comfort, calmness and smiles.
The last 10 months offered a mix bag of emotions. It was draining physically
emotinally and mentally. There was a time when the celebrity virus caught me too !!
And in between all this, often my child wasn't getting my due attention.

And here's where my Santas played a flawless role :) His teachers left us with melting
moments !! They were gentle & liberal when he felt low, accomodating when he was
all messed up, lend a ear when he had some 'ghar ki kahani' to tell, firm when he was
loosing focus, strict when he needed that look and all this wrapped in a warm bundle
of love and care. Am so full of gratitude for each one of them for going that extra mile
!!
It surely takes a village to raise a child and am blessed to be in a village like this :)
Thanking you from the bottom of my heart..
Warm Regards,

A happy and satisfied parent :)

Respected Principal Ma'am

Please consider this note as an appreciation to teachers, entire staff and
support staff members whose un-relentless efforts and also who are the
uncrowned heroes this year have lead by example.

Please accept our immense gratitude for the session 2020-21 in which you
and your staff have worked extremely hard to keep the motivation
extremely high of learners and parents. In the midst of a pandemic where
everyone was challenging the situation of fear, anxiety and insecurity as
well, the school has played a pivotal role and supported us in every
possible way.

My special thanks to Nitika Chugh ma’am and all the teachers who have
been involved in mentoring the learners of grade 1 Nightingale.

We have seen our child grow wonderfully this year !

Stay Safe and Healthy !

Yours Sincerely and Regards

Note of Gratitude

Respected Principal Ma’am, Harvinder Ma’am and Tina Ma’am,

Today was our second virtual Open House and I realised that the school and teachers must be missing the
students just as much as they miss school. I know the school halls, classrooms, fields and cafeteria must look
sad and despondent, and hopefully soon things will get back to normal. In the interim I wanted to start by
extending my gratitude to the teachers for all the hard work they are putting in, it must not be easy to work
with students you have never seen before and have no way of understanding except for what you see on
screen but more than halfway into the school term I can say with absolutely certainty that each and every
teacher has put in so much into making this format a success.

The lockdown and extended period of virtual classes must have gotten exhausting for everyone and so I
wanted to share with you a little bit of what Agastya has been up to during these months. Agastya honed his
Art, participated in an online quiz, bettered his guitar skills, learnt how to write lyrics, sing in a choir online,
participated in debates and MUN, started reading the news on an online platform, he learnt how to bake with
me and started helping in household chores. He learnt that you can exercise at home without stepping out, he
has read more books than I can count! He learnt that you can be attentive and responsive in class even when
there is no teacher to hold you accountable. He learnt to become more responsible and independent, he learnt
the value of doing group activities and helping people who he may not have been friends with during physical
classes. He learnt that you don’t need too much of anything, in fact what you have is more than enough. I
have not heard him complain about anyone in the past 9 months, maybe they have become more tolerant,
maybe they value each other just a little bit more and realise that it is the diversity that makes everything more
interesting.

Without realising this year all these kids gradually moved towards the dreaded teens all while being cooped
up at home, I couldn’t be more proud of each and every child who has been through this and come out
stronger and smarter. While these times may have taken away a lot from them, there is a lot to be thankful for
so this is me sharing the little things that Agastya has learnt, just to give you a glimpse into the year of his life
you have missed.

Thank you once again for helping him grow, inch by inch, bit by bit into a person who will make you proud
maybe not by grandiose actions but the little things that matter.

I must admit I miss seeing all of you and the warm smiles that always fill me with a sense of gratitude,
hopefully the impasse will change soon, until such time wishing all of you stay safe and healthy.

Warm Regards,
Arjita

Note of Gratitude

Dear ma’am
Greetings of the day!

The Year 2020 was undoubtedly an unprecedented year. Being a teacher myself I
understand how difficult it was to virtually set a rapport with the learners and
strengthen the bond which is one of the most critical pillars of learning at this age.

Today I would like to take this opportunity to thank and appreciate the way Lotus
Valley and particularly both the class teachers of Prep- Primroses have engaged and
conducted virtual sessions delivering a fabulous learning experience. It was indeed a
pleasure to see how my son Ridhaan became independent over the months.I would
compliment the teachers in microscopically focussing on each and every aspect of
learning right from letter formation to sentence making, compositions to
comprehension and from hands -on activities to noting the
experiment observations. They even kept the morale high by motivating and
rewarding learners time to time. Not only this, they even gave parents a patient ear
whenever needed.

Overall, a truly commendable task done seamlessly by Amandeep ma’am and
Niharika ma’am. I am happy to be a part of the Lotus Valley Family and look
forward to see my Ridhaan touch more heights with guidance and preachings from
teachers like all of you.

Thank you once again.

Dear Ma'am

I am writing this mail to share with you about the great experience we
had during this lockdown time, all courtesy Ms. Komal Taneja . She
has been a great influence and a motivator. Her one on one
connect with her students, as observed, was simply superb. Although
it was remote learning, as parents, we feel that we have interacted the
most with Komal Ma'am. Her reach, acceptance , warmth
and personal touch was just phenomenal!! Her personal follow up on
Aarav's performance helped him immensely to improve in maths. As
a parent, I could monitor the classes when home, and by far, she was
the politest and the most patient teacher through the session.

We as parents would like to thank Ms.Komal Taneja for all the effort
she has put in through the session as it was certainly not easy
managing kids online :-).

Thank you so much for your lovely note for our little boy Naman.

I would not want to miss this opportunity to thank you both for being wonderful mentors and
drastically improving the overall growth graph for our kids , this year was tough but you made
it super easy with best method of play way teaching and engaging children actively. The best
part of this session was a complete family bonding with teachers as we everyday became class
partners and lived every moment of our kids learning whole heartedly.

Ragini ma’am , we are super impressed with your communication skills and the level of
knowledge you posses on each and every question comes across to you as Naman has always
taken a lot of your extra time to get answers to his non stop questions where we as a parent
also struggled to reply many a tines, perfect teacher you are.

Parminder ma’am, I can just say that you are a complete package of a mentor , the best of
those are your enacting skills, effective kids engagement in all activities and assessment of
their improvement areas are just bang on.

We are definitely going to miss you.

Thank you to the school management for taking care of us so well.

Dear ma’am,

I mother of Kavyaan Arora from grade 2 kites (now in grade3 parakeets) wanted
to appreciate you all for the efforts taken for our kids’ education during this
uncertain academic year.

A special thanks to Monica ma’am for her seamless teaching and the efforts
made by her to teach kids on virtual platforms was commendable. She never
made our kids feel that they are physically apart. Hope our kids will get her
shower of teaching in future grades too.

We all wish that the situation gets better soon so that we can see our kids in

Good Morning Ma’am,

I hope you are doing well. I wanted to drop this little note to thank the teachers for a beautiful
learning year DRIHAANA had in Prep- Primroses under the guidance of Amandeep Ma’am
and Niharika Ma’am.

I really appreciate all the effort put in by the teachers to make virtual learning so
meaningful and productive. Initially, I used to think how a child would be able to cope with
online learning, but it was an effortless learning experience.

Even as parents we got to see a birds-eye view of the educational techniques being used
inside the classroom and learnt so much along with our child. The teachers were able to create
a fantastic virtual atmosphere for learning. Because of the incredible teaching style
DRIHAANA looked forward to her classes every morning.

Every child was motivated to perform better. It was a pleasure to watch the Gallery Walk as
well. It was a beautiful concept that yielded amazing results with a lot of hardwork from the
teachers.

Thank You from the bottom of our hearts to the team of awesome mentors.

Warm Regards,

Dear Ma’am,

I would like to express my deepest appreciation for Monica Chahal ma’am (
class teacher of grade 2 kites) for her excellent mentoring .It was most
heartwarming to see her reach out to the children and connect with them in these
testing times.

She has great control over the learners and strikes a fine balance of being
friendly yet maintaining the discipline of the class at the same time. What is most
appreciable is her energy levels and her love for teaching , as is evident during
her classes . Her guidance is influential and has most certainly helped in shaping
up the young minds .

It was a pleasure having her as my son Suvikram Singh’s class teacher.
