Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look
can I see, only as much as I dream can I be!

DR. SHAYAMA CHONA
Padma Shri,

Padma Bhushan Awardee

At the end, remember to hold and cherish three things; love, moderation and
humility because your life is a reflection of your inner bliss.

…….. and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough,
what is enough? These words of Vincent Van Gogh often echo in my mind.

Mrs ANITA MALHOTRA
State & CBSE Awardee

YOUNG MINDS AT WORK…

FROM OUR MAIL BOX…

With the onset of Covid19, all the
educational pursuits turned to the online
mode. However, in keeping with the
situation, the school opened its doors once
more for the learners of Grades IV-VIII from
February 11, 2022.

Returning to school was full of emotions for
learners and teachers, alike. Hustle and bustle
in the classrooms, excitement to meet their
peers and mentors, and resuming school after
a hiatus of 2 years made it a memorable
experience for all.

Periodic Test III for Grades VI-VIII
commenced on 17th January, 2022.
There was continuous revision done to
augment the understanding of the
learners and revise the topics at hand.

Their doubts and queries were cleared
through comprehensive worksheets,
which were created to straighten out any
creases in understanding. Learners were
thorough with the topics and appeared
for the assessments with confidence and
dedication.

After the successful completion of Term-I
Examinations in the Offline classroom, the
school effectively conducted TERM-II
MOCK EXAMINATIONS in school w.e.f
19th February, 2022.

With a rationalised syllabi for Grades X and
XII, the learners got a deep insight into the
Board examination pattern of questioning.

Assessment is a key component of
learning because it helps the learners assess
their strengths and weaknesses and the gaps
they may have in their skills. It is an
integral part of instruction, as it determines
whether or not the goals of education have
been met.

Periodic Test-IV for Grade IV commenced
on 21st February while Annual assessments
for Grades V-VIII commenced on 24th
February 2022. Learners took their exams
virtually and submissions for the same were
done through MS Teams.

Organised at National and International levels,
Olympiad exams provide a platform for students
from various schools to gauge their knowledge
in a plethora of subjects.

These help to identify a child’s capability and
real potential that may help them survive better
in today’s competitive world.

It has been found that students who appear for
these exams score well in their school
examinations as well, as they enhance the
thinking abilities, enable to focus on concepts
and delve deeper into topics taught in class.

Learners continued their journey on the
path of learning in the months of
December and January. IMO & NSO
were successfully conducted on 5th
December, 2021 and 19th December,
2021, respectively.

Results of IGKO and IEO which were
published in February, 2022, exemplified
the outstanding performance of our
learners in the exams.

Under Covid restrictions, Aryabhatta
Examination was held in an online mode
for the learners of Grades V, VIII and
XI. Ten learners from each grade were
selected for this prestigious exam
conducted every year by Summer Fields
School, Vasant Kunj.

Our learners participated with much
zeal. This year the Aryabhatta Exam was
conducted online on Saturday, 22nd
January using Microsoft forms.

The school organized ONLINE
INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARK
TEST(IBT) in collaboration with ACER
for learners of Grades III to X to develop
a greater competitive spirit, better
assessment and exploration of potential
among the learners.

Each test was for one hour duration and
the dates were as follows :
5th February, 22 - English and Science
6th February, 22 - Mathematics and
reasoning
12th February, 22 - English and Science
13th February, 22 - Mathematics and
reasoning

“Challenges are what make life interesting, overcoming them is what
makes life meaningful.”

Keeping our progressive spirit in the
pursuit of holistic education ongoing, we
embarked upon yet another exhilarating
and stimulating on-campus journey of the
academic session 2022-23.

Entrée Programme was conducted across
Middle and Senior School on 23th and 25th
March to apprise the parents of the
school’s infrastructure, scholastic and co-
scholastic segments, communication
channels, the LVIS Repertoire, the online
and hybrid learning experiences; thereby
giving a sneak-peak into the year ahead.

The programme commenced with our
Director-Principal, Ms. Anita Malhotra’s
congratulatory message for the parents as
their wards step into a higher grade. Her
words of wisdom and inspiration
encouraged all to overcome anxieties and
move forward fearlessly.

The Middle School facilitators shared
successful execution of lessons and
annual events conducted in both Online
and Hybrid mode while familiarising the
parents with the teaching pedagogies
adopted across all subjects.

The parents were also apprised with the
term wise curriculum and events that
would be undertaken in the forthcoming
year.

The sessions were culminated with an
interactive session wherein the queries
of parents were addressed and their
valuable suggestions were taken into
account for a productive year ahead.
