FRIENDSHIP ROSE
Friendship is a budding rose,
With sweetness rising from each
fold.
The stems of courage, hope and
care,
Are precious gifts of love so
rare.
Amid the thorns are moments
dear,
As true friends lend a caring ear.
A smile, a laugh and friendly
thought,
Are roots that tie the friendship
knot.
Take time to smell the
friendship rose,
That grows along the friendship
road.
Where friendship blossoms
never fade,
And seedlings sown are new
friends made.

MY TRIP TO TIMBER TRAIL PARWANOO
This trip started because I wanted to go out somewhere. I was very sad as my
sister had gone to Boston for her higher studies, and my exams were also going
to finish. That is when daddy decided to go to Timber Trail on 23rd Nov as he
had a few holidays after which he would get very busy in the following month.
We packed our bags and got ready on the 24th Nov to go to the hotel.
So, we started the trip to Timber Trial on 25th Nov at 6 am. It was my first trip
without my sister. At 8 am we reached Haveli and where I drank hot chocolate
milk and ate a Frankie roll that my mom had made. After that I attended my
online classes. By 11am we had reached Timber Trial. To my surprise, the only
way to go to the hotel was by a Cable Car. I was very excited as the last time I
went in a cable car was when I was only 3 or 4 years old. Being older now, I
enjoyed it more than last time. When we reached the hotel, I saw that it was a
very big hotel.
The next day we travelled around conveniently in a golf cart. The rides were fun
as it is on a steep mountain. We were treated like VIPs owing to my dad’s friend
who works in the hotel. But over there the Wi-Fi was very weak. That’s why I
needed to attend the class outside the room. On the day of my CA exam the
Timber trail people made me attend my exam in a conference room, as my dad’s
friend didn’t want me to suffer any internet issues. There was a place where we
could view some part of Parwanoo. The view was amazing! We clicked many
pictures and in one of them my dad photo shopped and included my sister. We
went to visit a family friend of ours who had just shifted to Parwanoo. At night
we went to the indoor games room. Over there my dad and I played table tennis.
After that all three of us played the 8-ball pool for some time and then I left as I
was not getting any points, and moved on to playing a racing game on the PS4
which was there.
The next day, 27th November, was my dad’s birthday, and the last day of our
trip. When we went for breakfast; the Timber Trail people gave my dad a
birthday cake which we all cut together. I had made a video for my dad and he
loved it. Then we returned home after this enjoyable trip!

Indian Politics
With the Indian state elections right around the corner, each government is
trying to win over the residents to vote for them: some with dirty politics and
tyranny, whereas others with a clean election. Many citizens are confused by
the parties using autocracy forcing them to vote for them. The citizens are in
doubt, should they: vote for the party they desire to oversee the state or bend to
the will of governments using autocracy.
Democratic India allows the residents to choose the representative for the
country. Politics and over-the-top loud politicians cloud the judgment of the
residents and show how low the government has stooped to resort to an
appalling approach. Religion, wealth, power, and status are the main
differences between politicians and regular citizens. Even if the politicians have
more wealth and power, does it mean they are above the law and can rule the
streets? The answer lies in the will of the people. They can either:
stand their own and rise against this tyranny or bow to the government.
A government may want to lead the nation, but, if using appalling means, they
may as well disband the government. I am sure that no government in this
world has come this far with only clean elections.
There are not many instant solutions to tackle the autocracy of governments.
The few solutions are:1) Bribery is the most commonly used method to get
votes. The locals are given goods (gifts, money, food, etc.) (some to keep) and
allocated among the other locals in exchange for voting. The best way to avoid
it is to honestly decline the goods. 2) Threatening is a last resort mean used by
governments as it requires violence. It shows that they are desperate. The best
way to avoid it is to leave the area or file an FIR.
I hope this article reaches the people of the governments, and discourages them
from using such appalling means.

MY FUNNY FRACTION STORY
There was a boy named Henry, who was always very hungry.
He made a cherry cake, but along came his best friend, Jake.
He had no other choice, but to cut the cake in half.
As Jake ate it hurriedly and thanked him with a laugh.
Henry still being hungry, now baked a blueberry cookie,
That was the quickest he could bake, to fill his hungry tummy.
Cheerful at the thought of his hunger being satisfied,
Until his sister and her friend showed up by his side.
The cookie was surely large and it also had no seeds.
The girls stood staring at him said, “We also want some please!”
Sadly Henry had to cut the full cookie in thirds,
After which, both the girls happily ran after the birds.
He then wandered to a pizza shop, as he heard his stomach growl.
But as he listened to the shopkeeper, his brain began to howl.
“Would you like 1/4 or 1/8?”, she asked him with attitude.
Now Henry couldn’t recall his math but he hated to be rude.
Unsure about what she meant, he stopped and began to think.
“I think 1/8 is a bigger piece,” he confirmed and waited with his drink.
At last came his pizza piece, all cheesy and oven baked.
Henry was so furious as he took one look at his mistake.
“This must be a silly joke, as my slice is quite petite!”
I came here feeling hungry and I’m needing more food to eat!”
He learnt two good lessons about Fractions from that day on,
To remember and pay attention about his perception that was wrong.
First, if the number is big at the bottom, the fraction is actually small.
And second, he needs to sneak away, so that he won’t have to share at all!

GONE ARE THE DAYS
Gone are the days when we made our own ways,
The one who goes wrong is the one who pays.
In this rat race, the power divine says
Stop the chase, it is the nature we must praise.
In this chase for power and money,
We have forgotten the value of honey, bunny and days that are sunny.
In the greed of endless riches,
We for the environment have become deadly witches.
The humankind has not been kind,
The run for resources has blinded the mind.
Coal, petroleum and natural gas leads to extensive pollution,
It’s no time to cry we ought to find a solution,
So let’s come together
To correct the weather,
Stop climate change
Before it gets out of our range.
We got to do something before it’s too late,
Or we will lose our Earth, our best mate.
Gone are the days when we made our own ways,
Stop the chase, it is the nature we must praise.

The Wonderful Acyrologia of Climate Change & Issues that follow it
Living in India, of course, comes with its perks. Every time someone steps into
their balcony, they get hit with a waft of polluted air. I'm asthmatic, so this
situation is terrible for me.
Climate change as a topic isn't exactly new, but rather has been a problem ever
since mankind first tampered with nature. It started surging exponentially when
industries were established near the end of the 20th century. In simple words,
these industries act as a catalyst for the matter in question. Climate change
recently went trending on Twitter and sparked a debate on a topic that needs
more media coverage than it already gets.
Glaciers are melting, typhoons are migrating, and some Pacific islands have
already been submerged. However, some people believe that man-made climate
change is a worldwide narrative to get you to pay more taxes. Yes, some people
believe the Climate crisis is not real.
Now, you may have noticed the topic "Acyrologia of Climate Change".
Acyrologia is when you use a word to describe a situation incorrectly, which
applies here. Without beating around the bush, What I'm trying to say is it
shouldn't just be 'Climate Change', that term is outdated though it is still used by
the majority. The correct term should be 'Climate Crisis', Because right now, at
this moment, we are running out of time. The biggest question is, what are we
going to do with whatever we have left?
The Climate crisis is having a tremendous impact on people and ecosystems all
around the world. Environmental pollution, natural calamities, food and water
insecurity, financial turmoil, conflict, and terrorism are all exacerbated by rising
temperatures. Sea levels are elevated, the Arctic is melting, coral reefs are dying,
oceans are oxidizing bacteria, and forests are burning as a result of these factors.
Standard operating procedures would not suffice. Now is the time for bold
global action as the infinite cost of climate change approaches irreversible
peaks.
The oceans have warmed by about 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit in the last 40 years,
according to NASA.
Continued….
Continuation…..
.
Scientists predict that it will take roughly 10,000 years for the atmosphere to
return to its pre-human induced temperature. This encompasses not only the air
and rains but also the oceans.
These issues are quite prevalent in India. India, as of November 2021, is the
world's third-largest contributor to carbon pollution with 2,654 million tons of
carbon emissions.
India's air quality index in December was literally off the charts. As of right
now, out of the world's 50 most polluted cities (AQI), 43 of them are in India. I
know the number sounds made up but it's the truth!
Just last year, for instance, saw devastating floods, cloudbursts, and landslides
in various states, leading to death and ruin.
All of this also has major effects on the financial system in India.
Investors are scared to invest more, trade slows down; all fundings are used for
repairing the damages caused by these disasters.
According to WHO, the changes in climatic conditions are responsible for
150,000 deaths annually, which is just the recorded death toll.
Now that we know how disarrayed the world is, this is how we fix it:
Coal, oil, and gas provide a substantial portion of our electricity and heat.
Lower your heating and cooling, use energy-efficient electric appliances and
wash your laundry in cold water. The world's streets are crowded with
automobiles, the majority of which burn diesel or gasoline. Walking or riding a
bike instead of driving for short distances reduces greenhouse gas emissions,
and it also keeps us fit.
I know it's hard but, we all must work together, follow this, and encourage our
peers to follow this with us. The only way we can pull ourselves out of this
situation now is by uniting for the same cause. I and many others want to be
able to stand outside and say, "Wow the air smells so fresh, and great, I see no
floods!".
Anyhow, this was me and 'The Wonderful Acyrologia of Climate Change &
Issues that Follow it'.

Thanks a lot for being there for our learners always. This was the most
engaging, challenging and interesting activity of this year. The reading sessions
from your end prepared the platform for them to write their own books. The
valuable tips and presentations ( for making their books) was very much

It was a delight watching all the learners doing so well in their presentations

Dear Ma’am,
1. She is thorough with her concepts and knows how to inculcate the
same in children without too much of efforts from both the sides
specially mathematic which most of the children struggle with
generally.
2. Her class time management skills are commendable , she has
completed almost 90% of the curriculum already which we didn’t
experience in last years where left outs were very high and children
used to struggle with rush at last moment.
3. At times, she seems a little harsh which I don’t mind as children
need to know that they need to give due respect to the study time and
teachers efforts as whatever she is saying is for their benefit only and
grooming.
4. Last but not le she has never been partial to any child and ho
favourites which is hard to balance for a teacher.
5. Let me not miss to mention the difficulties of virtual teaching , and
the flawless performance here too without even a single day absentee

Zavian is really fond of you.. He remembers all his teachers from Nursery

fact that if school doesn't open I will not be able to meet Sakshi Mam.
He can relate to you so well and is so comfortable in sharing about his

made him even more curious to learn more and feels happy when you

Dear Nitika Ma’am,
Words alone cannot express our gratitude for all the time you spent
teaching my child. The enthusiasm and joy you have for teaching creates a
fantastic atmosphere for learning. The patience you showcased, especially
during these tough times, is truly amazing. At the same time, the way you
stayed firm has made him a well behaved and disciplined kid.
I also appreciate the way you have planned the entire session giving both
students and parents enough time to prepare and engage in all classroom
activities.
Your bond with kids was visible all through. Your chit chat sessions,
bonding time has always put the kids at ease. Ridhaan is always excited to
attend his classes and feels really bad whenever he had to miss a few due to
some other engagements.
I would also like to state that as a parent I greatly appreciate the
way Ridhaan has evolved through the year. I have noticed that he has
gained self-confidence about his ability to learn and understand new
concepts and achieve higher grades. You have motivated him to read more
and more independently which has helped him improve his reading.
Lastly, as a teacher myself I have observed many of your sessions and
learnt a lot. I greatly appreciate your commitment and dedication as a
'guru'. Thank you so much for giving the lifelong learnings and beautiful
memories.
Special message from Ridhaan- He wants you as his class teacher next year

Hue of learning event has been a great success. It gave opportunity to kids
to now express what they have learnt throughout the year. It has been
wonderful journey so far and as parents we are so happy and content to see
growth in our child. Because of integrated learning, kids have become
independent. Aarush can attend class all by himself, he eats food by himself,
use washroom independently and many more. We have seen tremendous
difference in him while he was super shy in beginning just because of what
he learns from his teachers every day. Thanks for setting great foundation
for kids and spreading so much love in class. It was beyond my imagination
that such small kids can draw, colour so neatly, read and present with
utmost confidence. Big thank you to both the teachers and school for setting
such a great curriculum that kids have been introduced to great concepts so
early. Wish school all the best and reach to greater heights and keep
impacting society in such a positive way.

Many congratulations on the fantastic performance by the children during
the Learning Hues . It was such a pleasure to be captivated by their
confidence, conviction, and knowledge.
To be honest, initially we were quite skeptical and wondered how the
Learning hues is going to happen, will the activity be possible through
zoom classes, while allowing the children to express themselves and
making it fun and enjoyable. And, we were amused to see the
collaborative and synchronized welcome & thank you songs by our
bunch of little rockstars in the virtual environment . We are extremely
proud of the amazing teamwork, patience, perseverance and hard work
shown by both the teachers as well as students both during the preparation
& presentation. The confidence each child showed during the presentation
at hand was truly remarkable .We were absolutely mesmerized by
Samar’s confident delivery on Solar system with great expression and
voice modulation along with playing his ukulele like a mini rockstar (
thnx to you Naveen sir, I am grateful to you for his love towards music).
Thank you so much Harpreet Mam & Juhi Mam your mentorship was
beyond words. This is where real learning happens, putting their own
presentations across. It’s not just the final day presentation of learning
hues but all the learning that led to this that is a cause for celebration and
growth of these children. Thank you for being such a great motivator and
fantastic teacher :)

It was indeed a pleasure for us to have interacted with you and you have
been like family to Shanaya. Richa and I cannot express our gratitude in
words for the care and guidance you have provided to Shanaya in these
tender years of growth and in setting up a foundation for her.
We feel so lucky to have gotten you as the teachers this year. Shanaya loved
your class from the start and never grew bored. You helped her get
organized, motivated, and above all, interested in learning, which is no small
feat. We would also request you to kindly extend our gratitude to other
teachers who have touched Shanaya's life in this year.
Your fair, frank and honest feedback has been overwhelming. This enabled
her to become independent and open to doing things on her own.. Richa has
developed a liking and friendship with you, and she would like to continue
being in touch with you.
Thank you for all your hard work this year. Shanaya loves school and it's
easy to see why. Given the pandemic and online schooling, we could witness
the dynamic way you deliver lessons and encourage participation and are
pleased that our daughter has learnt so much.
The whole family thanks you!

Today before leaving, for the very first time, I asked Aarav to write
something about his project which he recently did. And It gives me
immense pleasure to share what Aarav wrote. I couldn’t stop myself from
sharing this and it was necessary as well to tell you how amazing my child
is growing under your mentorship. What clean understanding of concepts (
Swag rule& creative writing) and expression of thought you both have
instilled in him. We are so blessed that Aarav got you. Though a few
spellings here n there, but given his age; his way of expression is amazing
me each time I’m reading this.

2020 was difficult and by the end of it when we were all ready to resume
normal life , 2021 showed it's real colours ..wave 2 , the uncertainty to
even survive!
However, what couldn't stop completely was work for us and learning for
our kids. They were difficult to manage together but yet we sailed through
with a lot of support from Ahaan's beloved Parminder ma'am and Ashima
ma'am ( jo dono btw daant-ti nahi hai kabhi)
As parents we turned to you when we felt stuck- with academic skills, with
social skills and sometimes even our child's behaviour. He never got a
raised voice if he didn't listen in class and we always got a lot of assurance
from teachers who were willing to listen to us.
Tips on reading that made him a master reader -we don't even check
which level book he picks to read, to handling his emotions - when Ahaan's
worries got too big, to counselling parents (esp a working mom ) who felt
she was not giving enough...we don't know how we reached this point
where Ahaan is thorough and his knowledge has started going beyond his
years in some subjects.
We do believe it has something to do with how learning was made fun! So
that he didn't want to miss a single class esp hindi...and the kindness and
empathy at times taught us lessons to be better parents!
Last year, we wondered if anyone could top Isha and Sheetal ma'am and
this year our heart is so full as Ahaan leaves grade prep...
We couldn't have done it without your support.
And this mail is a way to repay back all the times and discussions which
helped us grow into better parents and raise our child better.
When we face challenges, we will now remember not to worry too much...
Thank you ! All we have towards you both is a heart full of gratitude and
blessings to keep touching young lives with your kindness and knowledge
We have taken a lot of words and time now.so goodbye, it won't be long
before we meet again ...Do stay in touch......

Hi Ma'am
Thank you so much for such activities, these actually help kids for overall
growth.
For Ananya she liked the integration of Hindi with EVS, as she was very
excited to speak as a teacher.
She herself choose the topic of family tree and helped me to choose the
pictures from Google.
It's was a learning experience for us as well as before making the
presentation we just know the names as joint family n Neuclear family.
Hindi is one of the language we touch up very less and in our day to day

Once again thank you so much for all your guidance and support.

Dear Ma’am,
Firstly, it’s great to see kids resuming school in person. It will give them
the proper learning environment. Like any other show and tell, the Hues
was also very interesting. Mixing two topics to create a learning script is
very good idea; It pushes learners to think differently and make the
material presentable. In corporate we learn about story-telling to
communicate the business agendas, Hues was somewhat similar to that
It also included the interaction mode; Learners not only delivered the
story but prompted classmates to answer the queries on the spot. Too early
but it will give them idea about presentation and engaging with audience.
Thanks for floating this exercise and making learners think differently.

The Hues of learning activity gave an altogether unusual way to look at
subjects. The kids participated in this activity with utter zeal like always. As
a Parent, I would say that these kinds of activities are highly appreciable and
help kids to not only think out of the box but also build their self-
confidence.
It enabled them to improve their descriptive skills by communicating
feelings, thoughts, and emotions with words.

Though i have always appreciated all the extra curricular activities which
gives the child a new dimension of confidence. The presentation itself and
then this unique idea of integrating two subjects made them use their brains
real hard and they could brilliantly teach something that they themselves

Hello Mam,
Hues of Learning was a great learning experience for kids. This is the day we
are going to remember for a long time.
As a parent we felt so proud watching our daughter(Vanya) explaining the
complex things easily with a smile.Special Thanks to Ms Nitika for patiently
listening to our queries and providing meaningful inputs to make Vanya's
presentation more innovative. She played the most important role in
encouraging and educating the children and honestly made our life as
parents little easier.
From our perspective, an integrated learning approach provides a great
platform for the learners to recapitulate the topics learnt in academic
session and make them more confident and well prepared for next year. This is
a great learning approach and hopefully the mentors will come up with more
such innovative events in future!!
