It fosters curiosity and lifelong learning. Our school's Reading Program, specially designed for Primary Grades, significantly develops essential skills and qualities in learners. Our Reading Programme, catering to learners from Grade I to III, is dynamic and holistic, cultivating a love for reading and meeting each developmental stage. Learners eagerly participate in Reading sessions, expressing their imaginative thoughts. The program incorporates 'I see, I think, and I wonder' concepts during Book Cover Reading and explores Book Descriptions to understand learners' perspectives. In Grade I, the Parent Reading Programme encourages shared reading experiences, combining new vocabulary with grammar concepts. Activities like identifying rhyming words and nouns enhance understanding. Grade II learners explore 'Chumki and the Elephant,' engaging in activities that deepen emotional connections with characters and vocabulary. Grade III's program, featuring 'How Oliver Olison Changed the World' by Claudia Mills, focuses on skill enhancement through word-solving activities, learning synonyms, and developing comprehension and critical thinking. Integrating a Reading Programme into education is key to enhancing language skills and vocabulary. Innovative activities and strategic reading develop learners’ linguistic and comprehension skills, thus fostering personal growth and preparing them for a dynamic world.

LEVELLED READING PROGRAM Grade III In the pages of a book, we discover not only stories but also the power of imagination that enriches our own lives. Teaching the importance of reading is fundamental to children's educational development. It improves language skills, nurtures imagination, critical thinking, and opens up a world of knowledge, cultures, and ideas. Instilling a love for reading early on empowers children to become lifelong learners and fosters intellectual curiosity and creativity. Therefore, we emphasize the importance of reading as a tool for personal growth and success. Our Grade III learners participate in the Levelled Reading Programme, which enhances their literacy and language skills. The program promotes a sense of achievement as learners progress through various reading stages. It provides targeted support for emerging readers, addressing comprehension and fluency gaps. The program exposes learners to a diverse range of books across genres and included educator talks, peer interactions, and book reviews. Its adaptability has significantly impacted our learners' educational journeys.

Learners from various Grades engage in activities like transforming 2D information into 3D models, designing solo facilitation models with blocks, and solving triangle puzzles, which improve motor skills, spatial understanding, and creativity. Shin is not just an educational initiative but a comprehensive approach to learning, empowering learners to maximize their knowledge potential in today's world.

ART INTEGRATED ACTIVITIES Grades Pre Nursery - III ‘Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected.’ We adopt Art Integrated Learning in line with the guidelines of NEP 2020 and NCFFS 2023. This method integrates art into traditional subjects, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and deeper understanding. The learners of Grade Prep combined arts with academics through activities like ‘Pakshi ke Pankh’ and ‘Stick figures with shapes,’ enhancing learning in Math and English. Similarly, Grade I learners used art to bring cartoons to life and to celebrate eco-friendly festivals. The learners of Grade II focused on blending art with numeracy and Environmental Studies, with activities like ‘Good Carbs Vs Bad Carbs.’ Furthermore, English was enriched with creative exercises like ‘Reggie’s Healthy Platter.’ In the same way, Grade III learners were engaged in projects such as ‘Animals State Showcase,’ promoting imagination and self-reflection. These activities across all Grades demonstrated the effectiveness of artintegrated learning in developing critical thinking and fine motor skills, benefiting both learners as well as educators.

– MOGLY GURUKUL VALUE EDUCATION Grades Pre Nursery II ‘We are all born as empty vessels which can be shaped by moral values.’ Lotus Valley International School emphasizes the importance of Moral Education in early childhood. Recognizing the power of storytelling, the school conducts Mowgli Gurukul sessions for Grades PN-II. These sessions offer valuebased education, fostering imagination, empathy, cultural awareness, and holistic development. Through engaging stories, children learn about various festivals like Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, and Diwali, alongside the virtues associated with these celebrations. Additionally, learners in Grades I and II explore the rich cultures and heritage of Indian states like Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Assam. These sessions provide a platform for imparting knowledge, wisdom, and ethics, crucial for the socio-emotional growth and moral development of young learners.

F SAFETY & SELF AWARENESS PROGRAM Grades Prep - III “Safety is the most basic task of all. Without sense of safety, no growth can take place.” We prioritize creating a safe and holistic learning environment through our Safety and Self-Awareness program. This program empowers our learners to develop confidence, awareness, and resilience. For Grade Prep, interactive sessions covered topics like washroom etiquette, inclusivity, empathy, water conservation, organizational skills, and personal hygiene. These age-appropriate activities and discussions enhance understanding of essential life skills. In Grade I, learners discussed the importance of bedtime stories and safety awareness, including safety at home, school, and during school bus travel. An activity named 'Zoological Zest' taught them about the significance of birds and animals, and they learned to assertively say 'NO' in uncomfortable situations. Grade II learners explored the concepts of safe, unsafe, and accidental touches. They created a 'Courage Jar' filled with their courage stories and engaged in the 'Storybots Emotions' activity to understand and cope with different emotions. The 'design a postal stamp' activity encouraged creativity and communication, and 'every drop counts' emphasized water conservation. In Grade III, topics like maintaining good health through yoga, understanding different types of touches, recognizing feelings, and overcoming fear were introduced. Activities like 'let's talk it out' and 'creating feelings jar' made these discussions interactive, and an 'emotion wheel' helped learners become more aware of and effectively communicate their emotions. These sessions not only focus on personal safety but also aim to develop our learners into better decisionmakers, fully realizing their potential.

Informed about the festival's significance beforehand, the learners joyfully participated, showing respect at the Gurudwara and enjoying 'kada prashad.' ‘Exploration is the essence of learning; field trips take you beyond the classroom walls to new horizons.’- Daniel J. Boorstin Field trips have a profound impact on enriching children's education. They facilitate experiential learning, which is often more memorable and meaningful than traditional classroom instruction. Lotus Valley International School embraces the idea of providing an array of experiences to its learners, and in consonance with this thought, a delightful trip to Needs supermarket was orchestrated. This enchanting adventure was not just an outing; it was a valuable learning experience that allowed our little explorers to dive into the fascinating world of groceries, fresh produce, and everyday essentials. With their curious minds and boundless enthusiasm, these inquisitive learners discovered the magic hidden within the aisles of the supermarket, gaining practical insights into the concept of shopping while nurturing crucial life skills. This interactive session provided them with a deeper understanding of how a supermarket operates and how essential products reach our homes. In a hands-on approach to learning, every learner had the opportunity to personally select and purchase a product, an experience that not only added to their excitement but also instilled a sense of responsibility and independence. Undoubtedly, the highlight of their visit was the confectionery section, where shelves lined with chocolates and candies elicited beaming smiles and created memories they will cherish forever. Their joy was palpable as they cheerfully carried an assortment of food items back to their homes. This excursion was a wonderful opportunity for our passionate learners to learn, explore, and have fun outside the classroom. These experiences are invaluable, helping our dynamic learners grow and discover the world around them in exciting ways. VISIT TO NEEDS SUPERMARKET Grade Nursery
