Name of the learner- Pranshul Sharma Grade I Nightingales Event – Independence day research work Dear Principal Mam, I would like to share my journey with lotus valley so far and the overwhelming experience I had. When I decided to change school for my son Pranshul I was in dilemma and bit anxious which school will help him in nourishing his skills and will work on his social behavior. I remember you asked me why you wanted to change his school and I gave a random answer as it was not from my heart. Today with pleasure I will share why I decided to change my son's school which is 45 mins away. Pranshul is good in academics but his social etiquette and communication were those areas where he needed help. Rabia Farooqui mam is an angel introduced to me. She spoke with me within two days of his joining and we both discussed what is required to ensure that Pranshul act like other kids and follow required social etiquette's. It was everyday communication with her. She guided him and me both to ensure we bring change in him. My son says I have two moms one at home (Rabia Sharma) and one in school (Rabia Farooqui). She guided Pranshul throughout in a way that we observed absolutely overwhelming change in him. It wasn't easy,. There were times when he bit a nanny and pushed a child, I knew deep that he is doing since his environment has been changed but being a mother it was difficult to understand. I picked up phone and called mam with tears in my eyes and always heard one thing " Relax mam", I am there. Don't worry, he will change. She always informed but never complained. I felt she took an initiative to ensure he gets required help and behave as acceptable. She asked me to send him for the sessions where I got introduced to Mahita mam. Mahita mam who also guided him well and ensured, he understands required social norms. Mam, when I visited school for independence day celebrations, I was shocked to see him, I was too surprised I didn't cry but was joyful. My eyes held my tears and filled happiness and Contentment. He was sitting quite, not running, following instructions he spoke very well, he danced and introduced each of his friend. I saw how his classmates were showering love at him, they were telling me Auntie he is our favorite. You cannot imagine how much happy I was. I enjoyed every second of it. It Contentment all because of Rabia Mam for her initiative. I also want to appreciate Mahita mam for her brilliant sessions and Ekta mam for telling me leave your worries, celebrate his brilliance and we will ensure to bring change in him. It is possible because of the school management, because you have compassion for all kids, it doesn't matter they are introverts or extrovert, you nourish every child like a flower of one garden. You ensure all children participate and get stage. No competition and most important they learn moral values. I may be short of words Anita mam, I hope now you know my answer why I decided to enroll him in lotus Valley. At last, would say Rabia mam is a great human being and definitely a good teacher. Also share my gratitude to Ekta Mam and Mahita mam for holding my hand and ensuring my son is at right place. Appreciate all you support. Sparing time on a Friday and Public holiday was all worth it as the Children and Teachers worked diligently as a team to prepare amazing performances making sure their studies do not suffer. May it be a group dance or the Choir and even speaking about the different wonders in our country, children truly loved presenting them. The school was so beautifully decked up, that it left us speechless and gave us a patriotic feeling as we walked through the corridor to see the theme-based display by all the children from different classes. Though the performance was summed up in 30 minutes, the effort put in by the teachers ( dance teacher, Vocals teacher, and all CTs) was so evident as learners were filled with joy and confidence.
