CLASS ASSEMBLY IX Vindhyas & Shivaliks : January 2024

Pixels to Perception - the Dynamic World of Media “An independent and free media is essential to ensure democracy.” - Warren Christopher On December 21, 2023, Grade IX learners from Aravallis and Everest explored media's role in shaping perception. The assembly began with a prayer and was followed by the news. What ensued was a mesmerising song that set the stage for the act to follow. A satirical skit depicted diverse perspectives, exposing society's preference for sensational media. Through a fusion of dance moves, learners encapsulated the essence of the assembly where the dancers cloaked in black symbolised the media as frenzied and biased while the white symbolised the media as the fourth pillar of a democracy.
