came to King Solomon
with two babies.
One baby was living
but the other was
dead. They said that
the dead baby was
smothered and it died.
Both of them claimed
that the living baby
was hers. It was very
difficult for the king
to decide the case. He
wondered "Who is the
real mother of the living baby?" Then, very wisely, he decided to give
right decision. He told the mothers that the living baby should be cut
into two halves and each woman should get half. On this decision, one
woman agreed but the other refused and wept. Then the real mother of
the baby said that the baby must not be killed. She suggested to give the
baby to the next woman instead of killing. The king clearly knew that
the baby belonged to the woman who refused to have it cut. Solomon
smiled. He said that she was the real mother of the baby. Then the living
baby was given to her.

The Moon

The moon is a satellite of the
earth. It is a heavenly body.
We can see the moon as a
cool round ball in the sky
at night. It changes its shape
every night. It is so due to the
reflection of sun rays. First,
it looks bent like a sickle.
We can see new moon, half
moon and full moon. At the full moon, it rises in the east and sets in the
west. The moon looks small because it is far away from the earth.

It is a huge mass of rock sand and other substances. But it is not bigger
than the earth. It moves round the earth once in every 29 days. It shines
at night but it does not have its own light. It only reflects the sun's light.
It is the symbol of kindness.

Generally children are those
who are below 16 years. They
are innocent by nature. Love,
care and affection are their basic
needs. Education is their basic
right. It makes them civilized
persons. Their future depends on
education. so, their primary right
is education.

Children have many rights. They
are- right to shelter, right to food,
right to health care, right to expression, right to game etc. but in our
country, many children are deprived of their rights. Many children
are working in hotels, garments, and factories. They don't get
balance diet and education. As a result, many children have been
the victims of diseases and other problems. Thus child labour is a
serious problems

Child labour should be banned. Presently many NGOs are
supporting the children. Some of then are SOS, UNDP, and UNICEF
are providing shelter, food health care clothes and education. But
this mayn't be enough. The government and all the Nepali should
be serious in solving the problem of child labour.

The children should be provided with basic needs. Education
should be made compulsory for them. Sons and daughters should
be equally treated. For this public awareness is a must. So, many
programs should be run to promote child rights. The civil society
shouldn't be silent about the violation of child rights.
