Throwing the ball away striking it with foot is known as kicking. This technique is highly reliable to pass the ball to the team-mate with a distance and to score the goals. There are three types of kicking. They are front (instep), inside and outside kick. Let’s practice the inside kicking with the help of the following tips: a. The ball is kicked with the part between ankle and toe of the foot. b. The interior part of the foot is used to strike the ball so it is called inside kicking. c. This technique of kicking is used to pass the ball. d. Place many cones on the playground and practice to kick the ball with friends. 2.1 Kicking Inside Let’s practice the outside kicking with the help of the following tips: 2.2 a. Use outside of your foot toes to heel. b. The kicking foot should be turned inward from the hip joint, toes are pointing down, the heel raised with the ankle joint locked and hard. c. We should push the ball downwards with fingers spread, using specifically fingertips, not palms. The feet should be well spaced, one foot slightly up than next, knees slightly bent and the trunk also bent forward at the waist. Initially players should practice dribbling with two hands. It is played between two groups in the court. There may be 8 to 13 or more players in each team according to the number of students. The game is played for a period of ten minutes by throwing the ball. The soft tennis ball should be used. In order to begin the game, the referee makes a toss first. The winner of the toss deserves the right to choose the court or first ball. Figure 40: The Placement of Players in the Court Dodge ball team is divided into court players and line players. The court players play inside their own court while the line players stand near but outside the backline and sidelines of the opponent’s court. A team can score a point if it hits any one of the opponent’s court players on any part of the body with a direct ball. The players can pass the ball to one another quickly to make opponents confused. The team scoring more points during the game is declared as the winner.

Every player must have a team spirit and cohesion for passing the ball. Attempt to overhead pass if you are far from your team-mate. Do not make your team-mate confused by either passing or hitting. ii) Catching First, catch the ball with both hands. The habitual practice of pranayam involves breathing exercises and patterns. Steps to perform 1. Sit in Padmasana pose. 2. Inhale, raise your arms upward, stretched and interlock your fingers before your head. 3. Ensure your arms are touching your ears while stretching them upward. 4. Maintain the pose as long as you can with slow breathing. 5. While maintaining the pose, watch at a single point ahead. 6. Exhale, unlock your fingers and palms and bring your arms slowly down towards the respective thighs. 7. This is one round. One can practice it 2-3 rounds. There are various variations of the practice. They all start from the same standing position-that is, with the legs wide apart. Trikonasana is one of the few yog poses, which stimulates and invigorates the whole body from toes to fingers.
