HIGHLIGHTS OF JULY-2021
01-Jul-21 Distribution of monthly stock of dry packaged snacks to the Covid
Vaccine Center staff (nurses and doctors etc.).
04-Jul-21 Distributed packaged dry snacks and sweets to 80 children of
Chhatrapati Shivaji Shikshan Sansthan in Vakola Santacruz.
10-Jul-21 Distributed dry ration kits contained rice, dal, oil, salt and spice.to 25
needy families in Parli village
11-Jul-21 Blood Donation Drive in tie-up with Nirankari Blood Bank was
conducted at Sathaye college in Vile Parle East
13-Jul-21 Distributed Hot meal packets with pulao, curry, puri and bhaji amongst
the hungry in the slums ok Vakola, Santacruz opposite Shastri Nursing
Home.
14-Jul-21 RCMP was a co-host for this hallmark district driven project by
sponsoring 30 beneficiaries who received the Laadli Menstrual hygiene
kits (reusable cloth sanitary napkins and knickers) at Palghar.
17-Jul-21 A substantial stock of dry savoury snacks and chocolate biscuits and
candies were distributed to the hardworking staff on duty at the
R.N.Cooper Covid Vaccine Center.
26-Jul-21 RCMP along with Nath Pai Seva Sansthan supplied Emergency Ration
Kit with essential items to the flood affected areas in Banda in South
Konkan, containing rice, toor daal, moong daal, black eyed beans, chick-
peas, wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, tea leaves, onions, potatoes,
washing and bathing soap.
27-Jul-21 Dry Ration Kits for twenty five needy families were distributed in the
Oshiwara Transit slums.
30-Jul-21 150 kilos of daal, 10800 packets of instant snack food, 13200 packets of
good quality biscuits, 5500 packets of milk based beverages, several
sets of cooking utensils and plates and other cutlery to eat food, T-
shirts, salwar suits, Solapur chaadars, 25 large tarpaulin sheets were all
transported to Nath Pai Seva Sansthan at Katta for transporting to
Flood affected Banda,Sherle villages
31-Jul-21 Generous donors from RCMP have sponsored 12 acres of fruit
plantation in Wada, Palghar.

Minutes of agenda presented at the Joint Board Meeting held on Monday 31/05/2021
on Zoom Meeting.

Initial discussion by Vision President Rtn. Jyoti Babladi:
1. MOM of previous BOD passed, proposed by Rtn.S.N.Katdare and seconded by

2. Outline of the projects done in month of May : 1st May -Ration kits to 50 visually
impaired persons. 3rd May – Dry snacks to Cooper Covid Vaccine Centre
Workers with commitment to give for 2 consecutive months, 12th May-
International Nurses Day celebrated by handing over 2 coolers to the Doctors
Cabin and more snack too at Cooper hospital, 13th May- Coffee and Noodles to
RMOs at Cooper Hospital, 17th to 24th May – Under project Annapurna, upma
with bananas and juice was distributed daily all around Andheri,. Milkshakes,
noodles, chocolates distributed to 300 children in Andheri East.
3. Highlight Projects of the Month – 50 water wheels distributed to the needy
people of Murbad district, Immunity booster pills and Vit.C distributed in Karjat,
Library project inaugurated at Jogeshwari East along with Sneha Sparsha
Foundation which will impact a minimum of 5000 children, Mr. Bipin gala of
Navneet Publications was present and they donated books for grades 9 and 10.
This is an ongoing project where members can continue to support through
book donations etc.
4. Looking forward towards June : The Pyau Project at Vile Parle Station would be
completed in the first half. 100 ration kits will be sent to Jeevan Savardhan at
Titwala. District Annapurna will support food distribution project at KEM
hospital, this will be handled by Rtn. Sunita Shetye.

Director Medical, Rtn. Atul discussed the following:
1. 29th May Arsenic Album Homoeopathic pills, vitamin pills, one sanitizer bottle
for each of the 1000 villagers, face masks etc. were distributed at Karjat and the
same would be carried on till August/September.
2. Bore well project at Kawathewadi- All the required funds have been collected by
Rtn.Atul from his friends and contacts and deposited in the RCMP Trust
account, the project is currently awaiting the return of the appointed contractor
from his sick leave.
3. Paramedical Training Support to the Students- The students are busy with
internships and the completion function would be held soon once the students
are done with internships.
4. Shirodkar Hospital will offer @Rs.50/- a basic diagnostic check-up package and
RCMP wills sponsor 100 people.
President Rtn.Jyoti and Rtn.S.N.Katdare reminded the club members that the $10
per member challenge was being taken up and we would become a 100% TRF
giving club if we completed the challenge. A single check had to be sent to RI for
the same.
Vision President Rtn. Jyoti Babladi invited PE Rtn. Unmesh Sawant to present his
agenda, which is as follow:
1. Club Budget for Dream year 2021-2022
• P.E. Rtn. Unmesh Sawant presented the Club Budget for Dream Year 2021-2022
• Taking cognizance of the extraneous circumstances of the pandemic, P.E Rtn
Unmesh said that with a view to mitigation member-retention issues, he would
continue with the same due collection and other norms as followed in the
Vision year.
• Dues per member per annum were projected to at Rs.8000.
• The half yearly dues would be collected from the members while they would be
requested to pay for the whole year. This was reiterated by Rtn. Smita and Rtn.
Shirish. Rtn. Smita emphasized the need to advice the members to pay up
annual dues as this increases the effort of collection.
• P.E. Rtn. Unmesh informed that RI has given guidelines for resuming physical
meetings after December 2021 and with respect to that, the GREEN HOUSE
restaurant has been approached about renewal of RCMP meets at their venue.

• The Dream Year expects to conduct its proceedings in a hybrid manner i.e.
partly on zoom platform followed by physical meetings in later half of the year.
Meeting expenses etc. would be collected on a pro rata basis.
2. Trust Budget for the Dream Year 2021-2022
• P.E. Rtn Unmesh informed that based on his discussion with Club Trainer PP
Rtn. Shirish, he would be presenting the Trust Budget for the dream year within
a week’s time.
• Rtn. Shirish also said that the Trust Budget has to be approved by the Trustees
and then put before the BOD
• Rtn. Shirish, Rtn.S.N.Katdare, Rtn. Smita, Rtn. Smita Barve all brought up the
urgency of a special general body meeting to confirm appointment of trustees
as present trustees were due to complete their 3-year tenure on 21st June 2021
and the Club has also lost a valuable member and trustee, Rtn. Arvind Pawar.
• Rtn. Shirish informed that nomination forms have to be sent to all club
members so that they may nominate trustees and if no nominations are
received then the trustees are appointed by consensus.
3. Passing of Club and Trust Budget 2021-2022
• Rtn. Shirish clarified that Club Budget is now recommended by BOD to be
presented to Club Assembly for passing i.e. the first Assembly to be conducted
after installation.
• Rtn. Smita Barve proposed the solution that the work or issuing notice and
collecting nominations for trustees be expedited so that the work related to
trust budget by P.E. Rtn. Unmesh could begin for the Dream Year. He said that
these activities need to be completed before the installation ceremony on 25th
June 2021.
• Rtn. Shirish, Rtn. Bhalachandra both agreed that AGM is conducted once a year
in December to pass accounts. A special general body meeting is now being
called due to trustee appointment.
4. BOD Meeting Schedule for Dream Year 2021-2022
• P.E.Rtn. Unmesh proposed conducting the BOD on the first Saturday of every
month. President Jyoti and Rtn. Smita Barve emphasized that the last day of the
month even though it may be a week day is easier to remember and
calendarize rather than a weekend which is bound to have other social
commitments.

• It was duly concluded that BOD meetings would continue to be held on the last
day of each month.
5. Increase in number of Directors
• P.E.Rtn. Unmesh proposed an amendment in the bye-laws of the club so that
the number of directors may be increased to 18 or 20.
• Rtn. Smita said that this was not advisable or necessary. Rtn. Shirish clarified
that IPP,P.E,Club Secretary, Club Administration and Sergeant at arms are part
of the board by virtue of position while Director Medical/Non-
Medical/Membership/TRF and International are the 5 main directors who are
appointed mandatorily while all other project in-charges even PR in-charge etc.
are chairpersons who attend BODs an conduct their designated activities. Rtn.
Shirish also said that P.E.Rtn. Unmesh will formally enter his board structure
when the bye-laws are passed in the first Club Assembly held under his tenure
but there is no need to change or amend bye-laws.
6. Change of signatories
• P.E.Rtn. Unmesh asked that the change of signatories be done at the earlies to
ensure a smooth transition, Secretary Rtn. Rajesh Shah informed that
Rtn.S.N.Katdare has already asked for the form for change of signatories.
7. Installation
• P.E.Rtn Unmesh asked about the protocol for announcement of Installation and
President Jyoti responded saying that current president would be announcing
the installation of the incoming president and his team.
P.E.Rtn. Unmesh thanked President Jyoti and concluded his agenda.

sample kit of reusable pads which will be tried out and accordingly the Red Dot
project would be taken ahead

2. Aligning with District Thrust Areas
• President Rtn Unmesh outlined how the Club would be focusing on the various thrust
areas as outlined by DG Rtn. Rajendra Agarwal and how RCMP would align with the
same.
• The major thrust areas which RCMP proposes to align with Armed Forces support
projects, Baaghbaan for senior citizens, Red Dot for menstrual Hygiene, Swachh
Mumbai for waste management, Railway Station Adoption, Adoption of Municipal or
Slum Area schools, Community Service for the Physically Disabled, Fruit Tree
Plantation, Women Empowerment, Cataract Surgeries, Annapoorna for Hunger
Eradication and Punar Nirman.

• President Rtn. Unmesh has emphasized that RCMP will fortify its focus on the Fruit plantation,
Cataract surgeries and Red Dot projects. Rtn. Sunita Shetye offered support for Red Dot and
Rtn. Smita Puranik for the educational projects. Rtn. Smita also spoke about the good work
already being done by RCMP for the Vivekanand Foundation school students in the North-East.
3. Presenting the Project Budget 2021-2022 to the Club Members: Plans for the Dream Year
• The Trust Budget for 2021-22 which was duly passed by both the RCMP Trust and the BOD was
shown to the assembly by President Rtn. Unmesh Sawant and the various projects were
discussed in an itemized manner.
• 2 Rozgaar Melaavas, 2 Rotaract clubs, the Rakhi project, various rural projects - especially those
handled by Chairman Rural Projects Rtn. Mahesh Bhagwat, the proposed RYLA, the
Annapoorna projects, the toilet block projects, the school project at Ambewadi etc. were
discussed by President Unmesh with inputs from Rtn. Smita Puranik. It is proposed that all
these will be accomplished in this year.
• This year the Club also proposes to have a Grand Fundraiser in the early part of 2022
• Kaladarpan and ROTAL were discussed in detail. The president announced his personal
commitment of Rs.125500/- to ROTAL as RCMP will be lead host for this event along with
Rotary Club of Mahim. IPP Rtn. Jyoti Babladi will be in charge for the promotion and
organization of ROTAL
• President Rtn. Unmesh Sawant reiterated that while most of the signature projects are able to
attract sponsors, the club members need to participate in effort, time and also with donations
and helping to raise CSR funds to support the completion of all proposed projects.
4. Address by AG Rtn. Dilip Pagariya
• The AG of District 3141, Rtn. Dilip Pagariya who was present as Chief guest addressed the
meeting, congratulating President Rtn. Unmesh Sawant on his clear vision for the Dream Year
and setting a good example as a leader by committing to the ROTAL sponsorship and the TRF
goals on a personal basis.
• He asked the club to continue its good work, putting in special efforts to achieve membership
goals
5. Passing of Club Bye-Laws
• As per protocol of a First Club Assembly the Club Bye-Laws were duly passed with Rtn. Rajesh
Shah proposing and Rtn. Smita Puranik seconding the motion.
The club announcements were made by the club secretary and the meeting was duly closed by the president.

HIGHLIGHTS OF AUGUST-2021
05-Aug-21 A New Community based Rotaract Club, called Rotaract Club of Parleshwar Gen Z, was
formed by the RC of Mumbai Parleshwar with 20 enthusiastic recruits.
10-Aug-21 A New Interact Club was initiated at MBH School, Vile Parle East (Marathi Medium
School). & The first meeting where the orientation was given to the secondary schoolers
and post holders was conducted.
12-Aug-21 Sustainable Skill Development by RCMP for 10 Paramedics who are ready to serve
society. was held at Kokilaben Hospital, Andheri West and was graced by District
Governor Rtn. Rajendra Agarwal.
16-Aug-21 Distributed tetra packs of juice to all the attendees for the cardiac screening camp at Bai
Jerbai Wadia children's hospital.
22-Aug-21 Team RCMP got 325 rakhis made from the needy women of the Mahila Bachat Gat and
300 rakhis were sent all the way to the Indian Army Base camps at Leh-Ladakh-Kargil and
these were tied on the wrists of our brave brothers. 25 rakhis were tied on to the wrists
of the policemen and women on duty at the Vile Parle Celebration.
27-Aug-21 Cardiac Surgery for Beautiful Haadiya, who was born with a hole in the lower (ventricular)
chambers of the heart since birth, was sponsored and performed with able support from
the District.
28-Aug-21 RCMP along with Kutuhal (an initiative by women to promote traditional arts and crafts)
conducted an online workshop for children and adults where they were taught how to
make eco friendly Ganesha idols using shaadu maati - absolutely no glue was used at all
