One new interact club was chartered in MBH School
One new Rotaract club – community based was chartered

5. Discussion on Women’s Empowerment related Projects

IPP Rtn.Jyoti Babladi spoke about the financial awareness program for women and self-
defence activity for clinical staff

6. Discussion on Facilitation of More Paediatric Surgeries and the Cataract thrust area
i. President Rtn. Unmesh spoke about screening camps in Vasai-Virar areas where
the patients identified would be sponsored for cataract surgeries by the clubs
belonging to the coral group
ii. The case of Baby Haadiya whose surgery was facilitated at Kokilaben Hospital was
related by Club.Sec.Rtn.Monika. Rtn. Sunita and PDG Rtn. Subhash Kulkarni’s efforts
were unanimously applauded.

7. Call by President to all directors to be ready with their projects so that funds for the same
can be procured and the projects can be handled in an organized manner.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SEPETEMBER-2021

01-Sep-21 The Sane Guruji Vidya Niketan, Sanegaon, Roha, Raigad will soon have very
clean and dignified restrooms for students and faculty all thanks to the efforts
of RCMP. The project has been kicked off with a bhoomi puja.

01-Sep-21 256 Ration kits (each kit would last for a month for a family of 4) were
distributed to 3 villages of Karanjveera, Dhonkar and Sudkoli. It was indeed a
huge relief for the flood affected areas.

01-Sep-21 61 ladies from Sudkoli village received warm blankets generously donated by
Rtn. Himanshu Kawley of RCMP family.

01-Sep-21 Students from 4 schools across Raigad were felicitated for their performance
in Grade 10 exams. They were given certificates, Marathi to English
Dictionaries Parker Pens and Chocolates.

01-Sep-21 Baby Rupansh Rahul Verma required an open heart surgery (Norwood
Surgery), the total cost of which was pegged at Rs.500000/- This surgery was
done successfully at Bai Jerbai Wadia.

05-Sep-21 A Live Workshop was conducted for children and adults in the community to
encourage them to make eco friendly shaadu maati Ganesha idols which will
help them truly celebrate the Vighnahartas festival. There were 29 participants
and all prudent precautions were taken.

05-Sep-21 Cataract Screening Camps were conducted at Nalasopara and Vasai over the
Weekend where 56 patients were screened and 24 were prescribed cataract
surgeries. The ground support for the camps was provided by Rotary Clubs of
Virar and Vasai while these surgeries will be sponsored by Rotary Clubs of
Mumbai Mahim and Parleshwar.

06-Sep-21 Baby Kartiki Samadhan Chate of Wadod Aurangabad required paediatric
cardiac surgery at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital.

07-Sep-21 RCMP Co-Hosted a Blood Donation Camp organized at Andheri Railway
Station. The blood donation booth was set up near the ticket hall on the west
side. 92 units were collected.

16-Sep-21 A water filtration cum cooler unit was donated to the Community health
center managed by HBTMC in Samarth Nagar, Lokhandwala, Andheri west.
This will benefit the patients, staff and resident doctors.

22-Sep-21 Team RCMP participated in the mega Blood Donation Drive held along the
western line on 22nd September 2021. Rotarians and Rotaractors worked
alongside at all 3 stations - Dadar, Bandra and Andheri and collected 196
units.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SEPETEMBER-2021

22-Sep-21 Baby Ikshit Sonawane required Spina Bifida correction and this surgery was
done successfully at the Mahavir Jain hospital in Thane.

25-Sep-21 Dry Ration Kits were distributed to 25 families in the Oshiwara Slums. These
kits were also an encouragement to those families where eligible members
have gotten their covid vaccination doses as per schedule.

26-Sep-21 RCMP Reaches Out to 2,289 Young Lives with a Polio dose. Sunday, September
26th 2021, was a Polio Pulse Drive Day organised by MCGM (Municipal
Corporation of Greater Mumbai).

28-Sep-21 Baby Samruddhi Sapkale required VSD closure surgery at Babi Jerbai Wadia
Hospital Mumbai. The same has been done successfully.

29-Sep-21 Large sized (suitable for family of 4) dry ration kits were distributed to 40
families in the Sambhaji Nagar Slums of Andheri East.

moving towards physical meetings and events. It was decided that a SGBM be conducted
at short notice and same be put before the club for approval and due action. This was
suggested by Rtn. Moha Kamat and accepted by all.
