Faculty gives
110 percent!
South High's many teachers, administrators,
counselors, and support staff give many long hours
to our school and the success of the students in it.
The staff at South begins aniving before 6:30
every morning and many don' t even think about leaving
until long past their 3: 15 duty hours.
Many of our teachers not only work in the class-
room, but also devote countless hours to coaching, spon-
soring clubs and activities, or supervising extracurricular
events.
Without a doubt, it is safe to say that the staff at South
gives 11 0 percent.

If a South High student ever needs information
or help with a problem. the staff in the Guidance
Center is always there to help.
The Guidance Center is a very usefu l resource
for students due to the caring and professional coun-
selors who work there.
.Each counselor specializes in one partic ular area
in order to better meet the needs of the individual stu-
dent. Under the leadership of Mr. John Moore, Head
of the Guidance Department, the other fi ve counse-
lors work together as a team to ensure that students·
questions can be answered.
From scheduling classes to college applica-
tions, and from finding a job to working through a
personal problem, the Guidance staff is there to as-
sist our student body.

Businesses
support South
There are so many businesses in the South
Omaha community, as well as in the larger Omaha
metropolitan area which support our school that they
deserve our unqualified thanks !
These businesses donate time and money to help
the various projects that our school has. For yearbook,
businesses show their support by purchasing advertising
in this section of the book. Without the financial boost this
gives us, we would not be able to afford the ex tra pages or
other additions to our book.
We owe these fine people in our community a debt of grati-
tude.
