Seniors look
to tomorrow
Senior year for the Class of 1998 was a hectic
one for most of us. Many spent the year preparing
for college by taking tests, making applications, and
filing for financial aid. Senior Mario Marchio said, "I
plan to attend college after I finally get out of this place!"
College isn't for everyone, though. As many seniors
finish their final year at South, they are looking forward
to the military, a career, or marriage and a family.
Whatever the goal is, our senior year is a stressful
time. Everyone is trying to earn good grades, and although
tests and homework won't be missed much, the sports, clubs,
teachers, and our friends will.
Senior Toni Hansen smiles during a
conversation she is having with her
friends before school. Ton.i has been
involved in drama at South High.

gai•n exper•ience
The underclassmen years are full of new ex-
periences and opportunities for growth. Unlike the
senior year, which is full of stress, the underclassmen
years have more time for fun.
Sophomore Lacy Stodola said, "On Friday nights
I like to round up my friends and go to a game. Then we
usually find something to do afterwards."
The underclassmen play an important role at South.
Freshman Mike Pappas said, "I have had lots of fun things
happen so far and made so many interesting friends that I can't
believe it's only October."
