Math Club,

Math Club, sponsored by Richard Wohlfarth, is re-
stricted to stude nts who ha ve completed or are now en-
rolled in Algebr~ I.

To promote a better understanding of math and
what it t eaches, to create an interest in the club as a
whole, and to help students get along with each other
and their teachers are the purposes of the club.

When the 1962 Nebraska High School Mathema-
tics Contest results were announced o n March 27, the
names of four South High Math Club membe rs were
listed among the top 20 in the state.

Joseph Calek ranked 12t h; Robert Murphy, 15th;
and Barbara Baker, 17th. These three are seniors. Robert
Pipal, junio r, placed 20th.
