The building is a clear and compact volume, with an interesting relationship with its context. Thanks to the special facade system, which consists of alternating reflective steel panels and glass panels, the building seems to dematerialize, blending with the surrounding environment. The reflective steel panels are characterized by different depths depending on their position, assuring always different visual effects depending on the side from which the building is enjoyed. The facade effect guarantees a strong dynamism to the building itself.

It has 14,400 m2 destined for offices, research and development areas such as the white-room and the prototypes workshop, and social spaces. Outwardly, and from the first idea, the design has developed from the occupation manner of the roof, which was filled with goods that were stored in the building. An imaginary green carpet has been designed as if simply placed over the roof, hiding all air conditioning units which in most office buildings are visible, with the resulting sound and visual impact. Certain topography arises as a result of the adaptation of the "carpet" on the machines. Folds and surfaces that resemble a hill on which to stroll in the moments of relaxation and conversation with peers for this is the floor on which the rest-area of the building is planned. The flat part of the "carpet" is natural grass. For maintenance and weight reasons, the part that covers machinery, the folded one, is artificial turf.

The location of theproject puts it at the center of car, train, and jet transportation, and is in fact the last building one sees beforeentering the busy Hongqiao High-Speed Rail Terminal from the south by bullet train, granting the project asignificant urban presence. The project seeks to create an office environment as an inspired place, providing a variety of experiences andarchitectural moments to the users, speaking to the urban condition of multiplicity while harking back to theChinese garden traditions of sequence, views, compartmental forms and spaces and a sentiment of harmonybetween architecture and landscape.

192 / 创意分析——图解建筑Ⅱ JING YING GROUPHEADQUARTERS 精英教育传媒集团总部 设计公司/crossboundaries architects 地点/中国,北京 精英集团新总部办公室集合了开放式办公室、 高层管理独立办公室和展览空间的办公区等功能。 展览包括公司历史、取得的成就和部分艺术品。 为了能最大限度地提高空间使用效率,设计师选 择多功能的融合而不是生硬地分割。这样就使整个连 续的空间系统化,公共空间和私密空间融为一体。 用曲折变化的“飘带”将整个空间打造成一个 开放与封闭、内部与外部、密闭和透明相统一的结 合体。对空间围合定义的模糊使内部空间的开放和 流畅显得极为突出,而且增强了视觉连接性,并最 大限度地利用自然采光。 Located in an existing office building in Beijing, Jing Ying’s new headquarters incorporates offices -ranging from an open office area to high management individual offices-, as well as an exhibition space to present the company's history and achievements, besides a selection of artwork. The design solution resulted in a continuous system, where circulation space is merged with functional one, and private functions with public ones. The folding shape of a ribbon translates to hybrid spaces that create a play of openness versus closeness, inside versus outside, and transparency versus intimacy. This blurry definition of the limits results in an interior space, which remains as open and spacious as possible, that enhances visual connections, and makes maximal use of natural daylight.

The design captures the strong vertical momentum that a lighthouse uses to hold on to its light source, and is wrapped with a carefully finessed wave-like outer skin that changes at every viewing angle. The building has three central atrium spaces that open to the urban park on the bottom and the mountainside on the top. Additionally the design uses sustainable strategies such as the thermal heat-stack effect for cooling and the natural air for ventilation. As a result, the Tiantai State Grid Headquarter stimulates the point of land as a beacon for new development in the growing region.

A place which is a valley from connotations typically Tuscan. The colors of the rolling hills created at every turn, every small ridge, a view which is always the same and always different. The design of the new building stands just as single element, although a highly characterized, not altering the balance of colors and materials of the valley in which it resides. The impact of the environment is of utmost respect and stands as counterpoint to a place characterized by space and colors of the hills. Its compact size and high technological content, blends with the natural look of his prospects that result assembly of different materials by type and consistency.

We treated the interior of the office as an urban environment, providing different points of view, creating open areas, but narrow ones as well to enrich the experience of the walk through, in the same way that the Beijing Hutong does. Furthermore, by elevating the boxes, we turned these areas into sacred tanks of interaction. Stepping up into or stepping down out of the communication space becomes some sort of a ceremonial behavior within the office life.

The Pearls are connected with each other through strands of circulation to form a continuous shopping landscape. In order to allow for a phased construction on the densely constructed site the Three Pearls are located in accordance with the former locations of the previously existing Scitech Plaza, Scitech Place and Scitech Hotel, allowing a seamless and easy three-step phasing of construction while never looking incomplete. This layout of distinct building volumes also keeps the memory of the old department store, while reformulating its new expression for the 21 century, with the exclusive nature of the luxury of the goods inside the mall communicated by its architectural expression.

The new symbol for the dynamic corporation needed to be energy efficient and a pleasurable working environment. In an effort to realize good views and direct daylight for every worker a compact floor plan of 1849㎡ has been chosen as a basis, no workplace is further than 11 meters away from the façade. Stacking these floors leads to a 204 meter tall tower with a square floor plan and an elegant, slender volume.

The shifting of the floors causes as a counter effect hollow cores that form large atriums. They serve as lobbies for the housing and offices, plazas for the shopping center and halls for the museum and leisure functions. In each tower a number of voids connect to the atrium providing for light and ventilation and creating semi-public spaces. On the lower floors the atriums are connected through a series of public spaces on various levels linking the towers and serving the outdoor facilities of the culture, retail and leisure program. The Power Centre creates a dense urban program with a green regard.

The different functions are combined in a complex compact enough to allow for a vast public forum and park between the parliament and the neighboring facilities of the Prime Minister. The fundamental democratic values, such as openness and transparency, and the simultaneity of competing political concepts within a democratic society, are translated into the design concept: several building elements coexist in one building ensemble, with their distinct shapes clearly visualizing their respective functions and meanings.

218 / 创意分析——图解建筑Ⅱ DNB NOR BANK NEW HEADQUARTERS BUILDING 挪威DNB NOR银行新建总部大楼 设计公司/MVRDV 地点/挪威,奥斯陆 挪威DNB NOR银行新建总部大楼总建筑面积约80 000 m2 , 由奥斯陆的OSU公司承包开发,项目包括位于三个不同地块 上的三座不同建筑,三者通过地下建筑空间联系在一起。 该项目是比约维卡滨水区的一个重要组成部分,其总体规 划方案由MVRDV 和两家挪威公司制定。每座建筑均有其特色 的材料表达方式,并在形态和建筑设计方面与周边的建筑联系 在一起。 DnB NOR’s new headquarter complex with a total GFA of 80,000m2, developed by Oslo S Utvikling (OSU), comprises three different buildings located on three different sites, interconnected at underground level. The buildings form part of the Bjørvika Barcode at the Bjørvika waterfront, a masterplan by MVRDV and Norwegian firms Dark and A-lab, in which each building has its own identity and material expression while relating to adjacent buildings in shape and architecture.

222 / 创意分析——图解建筑Ⅱ TELETECH CALLCENTER AND INCUBATOR TELETECH呼叫中心和研发中心 设计公司/MVRDV 地点/法国,第戎 欧洲遍是空置的建筑,这些建筑期待获得新生。为保护建筑物 中具有历史意义或建筑美感的重要部分,通常采用改造的措施。此 案例中的建筑前身是联合利华公司位于法国第戎的实验室,建筑在 2004年竣工并于2009年关闭。该建筑功能完整,内部系统运行良 好,但其体积过大,不适合用做传统的工作空间。由于建筑改造预 算很低,故不能更换外墙或是对整体结构作较大调整,并且在建筑 翻新过程中必须尽量选择可持续的材料或构件。如何把握好对建筑 的改造和重新利用之间的微妙关系,是项目方案的出发点。 在当 前欧洲金融危机的大环境下,MVRDV希望这次建筑改造能够成为 一个示范性的现代欧式建筑,振奋行业人心。 All over Europe buildings are empty and waiting for a new future. Transformations are usually all about the preservation of historically or architecturally significant parts of a building. In this case the building is almost new, it was completed in 2004, and the preservation act directed towards reuse. The disused building is a former Unilever Dijon mustard laboratory and closed in 2009. The building is in a good state but due to its wide volume not suitable for traditional work spaces. The construction budget is too low to exchange the façade or make serious alterations to the structure. A fine balance is needed between intervention and intelligent re-use of the existing.
