กุ้งกำ�ลังรออยู่ในห้องหนึ่งที่จัดไว้เป็นพิเศษสำ�หรับผู้ที่มาทำ�การ
ตรวจเพทสแกน ในระหว่างนั้นสามีของเธอรออยู่ด้านนอก
ชายหนุ่มในชุดคลุมแล็บคนหนึ่ง เริ่มพูดกับเธอด้วยน้ำ�เสียงที่
ร่าเริง “สวัสดีครับ ผมเป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ดูแลด้านการให้สารเภสัชรังสีนะ
ครับ เดี๋ยวผมจะฉีดสารเภสัชรังสี (fluorodeoxyglucose F 18) เข้าไป
ในร่างกายทางเส้นเลือดดำ�นะครับ แล้วคุณต้องนอนนิ่งๆ และจำ�กัด
การเคลื่อนไหว เป็นเวลาประมาณหนึ่งชั่วโมง เพื่อให้มีการจับของสาร
เภสัชรังสีในรอยโรคได้ดี เมื่อครบกำ�หนดเวลา ผมจะพาคุณเข้าไปใน
ห้องตรวจเพทสแกน (PET Scan) ซึ่งก็จะใช้เวลาประมาณสามสิบถึง
สี่สิบห้านาทีครับ”
“ขอบคุณมากนะคะ” กุ้งรับคำ�
“ทั้งนี้เมื่อทำ�การตรวจเสร็จแล้ว ขอให้คุณดื่มน้ำ�เยอะๆ เพื่อไล่
สารเภสัชรังสีออกจากร่างกาย และคุณจะต้องหลีกเลี่ยงการอยู่ใกล้
สตรีมีครรภ์และเด็กเป็นเวลาสิบสองชั่วโมงนะครับ เพราะร่างกายของ
คุณจะยังมีปริมาณรังสี ที่อาจเป็นอันตรายกับคนสองกลุ่มนี้ครับ” หาก
พวกเขาได้รับรังสีไปด้วยก็จะเป็นอันตรายได้ครับ”
“ค่ะ ดิฉันเข้าใจค่ะ” กุ้งพยักหน้าตอบรับ

พระบิดาในสวรรค์ ขอขอบพระคุณพระองค์ ที่ไม่มีสิ่งใดเป็นไปไม่ได้
สำ�หรับพระองค์ ขอพระองค์ทรงโปรดสดับฟังคำ�อธิษฐานของลูกเพื่อ
ขอการอัศจรรย์ โปรดเพิ่มเติมความเชื่อให้กับลูกว่าพระองค์จะทรง
ตอบ ในสิ่งที่ดูเหมือนว่าเป็นไปไม่ได้สำ�หรับลูกนั้น ไม่ได้เกินฤทธิ์
อำ�นาจของพระองค์ที่จะกระทำ� เมื่อใดที่ลูกคิดหาวิธีแก้ปัญหาไม่ได้
แต่พระองค์ยังคงกระทำ�ได้ทุกสิ่ง ขอโปรดช่วยให้ลูกเชื่อว่าไม่มีสิ่งใด
ที่ลูกเผชิญในชีวิตจะเทียบได้กับพระองค์ เพราะพระองค์ทรงเป็นพระ

องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระนามของพระองค์เหนือนามทั้งปวง ฤทธิ์อำ�นาจ
ของพระองค์ไม่มีขีดจำ�กัด และฤทธานุภาพของพระองค์ไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด
พระองค์ได้ทรงตรัสไว้ว่า ความเชื่อที่มีเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่าเมล็ดมัสตาร์ด
เมล็ดหนึ่งก็สามารถเคลื่อนภูเขาไปได้ ในขณะที่ลูกเผชิญหน้ากับภูเขา

พระองค์ไปทั่วทั้งโลก พระองค์เป็นพระเจ้าผู้ทรงกระทำ�การอัศจรรย์
พระองค์ทรงเปลี่ยนน้ำ�ให้เป็นเหล้าองุ่น พระองค์ทรงกระทำ�ให้คน

At the hospital’s nuclear medicine department in Bangkok,

Kung waited in one of the uptake rooms while her husband
sat outside.
A man in a lab coat addressed her in cheerful tones.
“Hello, I am a radiopharmaceutical technician. I will inject
a small amount of a radioactive sugar (fluorodeoxyglucose
F 18) through your vein. Your body will absorb the injected
radiotracer. You’ll need to sit or lie down quietly during this
time and limit your movements. When the time comes, I
will take you into the room for a PET scan. It will take about
thirty to forty-five minutes.”
“Thank you,” Kung replied.
“When you are done with the PET scan, please drink
lots of water to expel the radiotracer from your body. The
radioactive material remains in your body, so you must also
avoid being around pregnant women and children for twelve
hours. Exposing them could be dangerous.”
“Yes, I understand.” Kung nodded.

At this moment, Kung waited to be called into the room
of the PET scan machine. She remembered to open up the
prayer message she saved on her phone, which she had been
reading regularly, titled “31 Powerful Prayer for Miracles”17.

“Nothing Is Impossible” Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that nothing is impossible for You.
Hear my prayer for a miracle. Fill me with faith that You can
answer. What seems impossible to me is within Your power.
When I can’t think of a solution, you can still act. Please help
me believe that nothing I face in life can compare to You.
You are the God of the impossible. Neither death nor life,
angels, rulers, things present or future, height or depth, nor
anything else in all creation will be able to separate me from
Your love. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

“Faith to Move Mountains” Prayer

Lord God, Name above all names, Your power is unlimited,
and Your strength has no end. You have said that faith as
small as a mustard seed can move mountains. As I face a
mountain now, Lord, and feel like my faith is weak, would You

amaze me with Your miraculous power? Remind me that You
are in control of everything in my life. You are able to do far
more than all that I ask or can even imagine, according to
the power at work within me. To You be the glory throughout
all generations, forever and ever. Through Jesus Christ, our
Lord, Amen.

“Miracle-Working God” Prayer

Lord of the nations, You display Your power in all the world.
You are the miracle-working God. You turned water into wine.
You restored sight to the blind and made the deaf hear. You
made the lame walk. You healed the sick and raised the dead.
You conquered death in Your resurrection. Everything You
touch is powerfully transformed. Let me know that powerful
touch in my life. Give me the strength to follow You. Lord,
bless me and keep me, make Your face shine upon me. Turn
Your face towards me and give me peace. Through Jesus

กุ้งก�ำ ลังนอนอยูบ่ นเครือ่ งตรวจเพทสแกน และขณะที่เครือ่ งกำ�ลัง
ทำ�งานไปเรื่อยๆ กุ้งหวนนึกถึงลูกๆ ทั้งสอง เธอนึกถึงช่วงเวลาดีๆ ที่
มีกับลูกๆ ของเธอที่ผ่านมาตลอดหลายปี

“พระเจ้าค่ะ ครั้งหนึ่งหนูเคยขอพระองค์ที่จะให้หนูมีเวลาเพื่อ
จะอยู่ดูแลแม่ให้นานกว่านี้ มาครั้งนี้ หนูขอพระองค์ที่จะให้
เวลาแก่หนู ที่จะอยู่ดูแลลูกให้นานกว่านี้ได้ไหมคะ ขอให้หนูได้
มีโอกาสที่จะเห็นลูกทั้งสองคน ได้เติบโตและมีความเชื่อที่เข้ม
แข็งในพระองค์มากกว่านี้ เวลานี้เขาสองคนยังเล็ก ยังไม่รู้ ไม่
เข้าใจ และยังไม่มีประสบการณ์ชีวิตกับพระองค์มากพอ หนูห่วง

ด้วยความรักต่อลูกทั้งสอง น้ำ�ตาที่เอ่อล้นรอบดวงตา ไหลลงมา
อาบแก้มของเธอ
กุ้งไม่เคยกังวลเรื่อง การเงิน การเรียน การงาน หรือแม้กระทั่ง
คู่ชีวิต ในอนาคตของลูกๆ เธอมีความมั่นใจว่า ขอเพียงลูกๆ ของ
เธอมีความเชื่อที่เข้มแข็ง และมีสัมพันธภาพที่มั่นคงกับพระเจ้า ทุก
อย่างในชีวิตจะอยู่ในการดูแลของพระองค์อย่างแน่นอน

อีกครั้ง
“คุณต้องรอนานอีกหน่อยนะ” กุ้งบอกสามีทางโทรศัพท์ขณะ
ที่เขากำ�ลังรออยู่ด้านนอก “ฉันตรวจเสร็จแล้วรอบแรก แต่ว่าแพทย์
รังสีขอให้ฉันนั่งรอเพิ่มอีกยี่สิบนาที แล้วจึงกลับไปทำ�เพทสแกนเฉพาะ
ตรงบริเวณตับอีกครั้ง ฉันก็ไม่รู้ว่าทำ�ไม” กุ้งพูดด้วยความกังวลปน
สงสัย
“บางทีอาจเป็นข่าวดีก็ได้นะ หมอคงอยากให้แน่ใจจริงๆ” สามี
พูดปลอบใจเธอ

“But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but

the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13 - NASB).
Kung lay on the narrow tray of the PET scanner. As the
machine began to work, Kung recalled her two children. She
remembered the good times she had had with her children
over the past years.
“Lord, I once asked You to grant me more time to care
for my mother. This time, I asked that You grant me more
time so I can take care of my children a little longer. Please
allow me to see both children grow up and enjoy a stronger
faith in You than now. The two boys are still young. They do
not know, do not understand, and do not have enough life
experience with You. I am very concerned about their souls.
Please have mercy on me… have mercy on me, Lord.” Kung
repeatedly cried out to God in her heart like a child pleading
to her Father. Every word was filled with love for both children.
Tears flowed freely down her cheeks.

Kung had never worried about future finances, educa-
tion, work, or even the life partners of her children. Instead,
she remained confident that if only her children had a strong
faith and a solid relationship with God, everything in life would
surely be in His care.
Soon, the nurse asked Kung to step down from the ma-
chine, sit outside, and wait a while.
“You will have to wait a bit longer,” Kung told her hus-
band over the phone as he waited outside. “I just finished
the first scan, but the radiologist asked me to wait another
twenty minutes. They want to repeat a PET scan just for the
liver area. I don’t know why.” Kung spoke with suspicion and
concern.
“It might be good news. The radiologist might want to
be sure,” said her husband, consoling her.

“สวัสดีค่ะ คุณหมอ” กุ้งเอ่ยทักทายแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านมะเร็ง
ขณะเดียวกันก็รู้สึกตื่นเต้นที่จะรู้ผลรายงาน
“ผลรายงานการตรวจเพทสแกน คือ ไม่พบค่าดูดซึม (uptake)
ที่ผิดปกติในร่างกาย ฉะนั้นแนวโน้มก็มีมากว่า จุดต่างๆ ที่เราสงสัย
ในปอดและตับ อาจไม่ใช่มะเร็งที่กระจายมาจากลำ�ไส้ใหญ่ แต่มันก็มี
งานวิจัยจากต่างประเทศที่พบว่า การตรวจด้วยเพทแสกน อาจให้ผลที่
เป็นเท็จสำ�หรับมะเร็ง (False negative result)18 เมื่อจุดที่ต้องสงสัย
มีขนาดที่ต่ำ�กว่า 1.0 เซนติเมตร ฉะนั้นจะวางใจทั้งหมดก็คงยังไม่ได้”
“หมอค่ะ แล้วสรุป ดิฉันยังไม่ต้องผ่าตัดตับตอนนี้ใช่ไหมคะ ดิฉัน
สามารถบินไปมอนเตเนโกร พร้อมกับสามีและลูกๆ ได้ใช่ไหมคะ”
“บินได้ครับ แต่ก็ต้องเฝ้าระวังและติดตามจุดที่ตับกับปอด ทุก
สามเดือนนะครับ หากว่าพบการเปลี่ยนแปลงในเชิงลบ ก็ต้องกลับมา
คุยเรื่องการผ่าตัดอีกครั้งนะครับ”
“ขอบคุณมากค่ะหมอ ดิฉันดีใจจริงๆ ค่ะ”
แล้วกุ้งก็เดินออกจากห้องตรวจด้วยรอยยิ้ม ที่เต็มไปด้วยความ
สุขใจ

กุ้งใช้ชีวิตและเวลาทุกวันกับครอบครัวอย่างเรียบง่าย โดยการ
ทำ�งานบ้าน ซื้อกับข้าว ดูแลอาหารการกินให้ครอบครัว ช่วยสอนการ
บ้านลูกๆ และไปพักผ่อนตามสถานที่ทางธรรมชาติ เช่น ทะเล ภูเขา
น้ำ�ตก รวมถึงโบราณสถานของเมืองในช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ โดยตระหนัก
เสมอว่า เวลาที่เหลืออยู่ของชีวิตอาจมีไม่มากนัก
แม้กระนั้น กุ้งก็ไม่เคยสิ้นหวัง เธอมีข้อพระคัมภีร์ที่ช่วยหนุนใจ
ตลอดเวลา ในยามที่ต้องอยู่กับความไม่แน่ชัดของมะเร็งในร่างกายเธอ

“ข้าพเจ้าเงยหน้าดูภูเขา ความช่วยเหลือของข้าพเจ้ามาจากไหน?
ความช่วยเหลือของข้าพเจ้ามาจากพระยาห์เวห์ ผู้ทรงสร้างฟ้า

Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the
days of my life, And my dwelling will be in the house of the
Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:5b-6 - NASB)
“Hello, Doctor,” Kung greeted the oncologist. At the same
time, she was excited to know the results of the report.
“The PET scan results showed no abnormal uptake in
the body. So it is likely that the nodules we suspected in your
lungs and the lesions in the liver are benign. However, some
research from abroad shows that PET scans may give false
negative results18 when the suspected lesion is less than 1.0
cm.18 Therefore, we still need to monitor them closely.”
“Doctor, in this case, I don’t need to have liver surgery
yet, right? So I can fly to Montenegro with my family, correct?”
“You can fly, but you must be watchful and follow up
with the lesions in your liver and lungs every three months.
If negative changes are found, we must discuss the surgery
again.”
“Thank you very much, Doctor. I’m delighted.”

Then Kung walked out of the examination room with a
joyful smile.
In the city of Podgorica, Montenegro, Kung lived a simple
life. She spent her daily life doing housework, grocery shop-
ping, preparing meals for the family, and helping her sons
with homework. During weekends or holidays, the family would
take short trips to enjoy nature. They visited seas, mountains,
waterfalls, and archaeological sites. Kung always kept in mind
that the remaining time of her life might be short. Despite that
fact, Kung never felt despair. Instead, she kept God’s words
in her heart while dealing with the uncertainty of cancer in
her body.

“I will raise my eyes to the mountains; From where will
my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who
made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2 - NASB).

ในปลายปี 2021 กุ้งได้กลับมาเมืองไทยอีกครั้ง และได้มีโอกาส
เป็นพยานกับที่ประชุมของคริสตจักรตนเอง เรื่องการดูแลของพระเจ้า
ท่ามกลางวิกฤติของชีวิตด้านสุขภาพ
“กุ้งป่วยเป็นมะเร็งลำ�ไส้ใหญ่เมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ แล้วได้ผ่าตัด
ลำ�ไส้ใหญ่ออกไป แต่เนื่องจากผลการตรวจชิ้นเนื้อพบว่า มีการกระ
จายของมะเร็งไปยังต่อมน้ำ�เหลืองแล้ว กุ้งจึงต้องรับเคมีบำ�บัดอยู่ห้า
เดือน ช่วงเวลานั้น ขอบคุณพระเจ้าที่กุ้งไม่เคยต่อว่าพระเจ้าแม้แต่
ครั้งเดียว ถ้าถามว่ามีคำ�ถามกับพระเจ้าไหม ตอบได้เลยค่ะว่า มี...แต่
กุ้งไม่เคยต่อว่าพระเจ้า กุ้งร้องไห้และเสียใจ แต่พระเจ้าก็ทรงนำ�พา
ทุกย่างก้าว จนกระทั่งได้จบเคมีบำ�บัด และได้พาลูกสองคนกลับไป
เรียนที่ต่างประเทศ” ทุกคนที่ห้องประชุมต่างตั้งใจฟังคำ�พยาน
“หลังจากที่รับคีโมจนจบ หมอได้ให้กุ้งทำ�ซีทีสแกนที่ปอดและ
ช่องท้องอีกครั้ง รวมทั้งเอ็มอาร์ไอที่ตับ ซึ่งปรากฏว่ามีจุดที่ปอดกับที่
ตับเกิดขึ้น ตอนนั้นกุ้งรู้สึกตกใจมาก คิดกับตัวเองว่า เอ๊ะ! หรือเราจะ
มีเวลาเหลืออยู่บนโลกนี้ไม่นาน”

“แต่พอมาย้อนคิดว่า ในชีวิตของกุ้ง พระเจ้าได้ทรงนำ�พามา
ตลอด ฉะนั้นไม่ว่าจะเกิดอะไร ชีวิตจะสั้นหรือจะยาว เวลาของกุ้งก็
อยู่ในพระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้าอยู่แล้ว กุ้งต้องไม่กลัว และเดินหน้าต่อไป
ซึ่งถ้าเป็นจริงก็ขอบคุณพระเจ้า ที่ให้รู้ตัวล่วงหน้า กุ้งจะได้มีเวลาจัด
เตรียมหลายสิ่งหลายอย่างเพื่อคนที่กุ้งรัก” กุ้งเริ่มน้ำ�ตาคลอ

พระเจ้า พระองค์มีแผนการณ์และเหตุผลที่อนุญาตให้สิ่งเลวร้ายเกิด

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill can-

not be hidden; nor do people light a lamp and put it under
a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who
are in the house. Your light must shine before people in such
a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 - NASB)
At the end of 2021, Kung returned to Thailand again.
This time she had the opportunity to testify to the church
congregation regarding God’s care during her health crisis.
“In February, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and
underwent major surgery. However, according to the biopsy
results, cancer had already spread to my lymph nodes.
Therefore, I had to undergo chemotherapy treatment for five
months. I was thankful to God during that time and never
blamed God even once.”
Did I have questions for God? Yes, I did, but I never
complained. Was I sad and crying? Yes, I was sorry and cried
to Him. Nevertheless, God guided me every step of the way
until the end of my chemotherapy treatment. Then, I was
able to bring the boys back to study abroad.

After chemotherapy, my oncologist had me do another CT
scan of the lungs and abdomen and later an MRI of my liver.
It appeared then that new nodules and lesions occurred in
the lungs and liver. At that time, I was very shocked. I asked
myself, “Am I going to have a short life on this earth?”
When I think about my life and recall how God has always
been my guide, I realize that it doesn’t matter whether my
life will be short or long; my time is already in God’s hands.
Therefore, I must not be afraid and must move on with life.
If indeed, my time is short, I would still be thankful. At least
I got to know this in advance, so I could take the time to
prepare many things for the people I love.
Upon returning to Thailand this time, I went for a follow-
up again. The doctor informed me that an MRI of my liver
and CT scan of my lungs showed that the lesions in the liver
were smaller. In addition, the nodules in the lungs were stable
in size. It is a positive test result. In six months, I will have
to undergo a PET- CT Scan for a full body check. If the result
is clear, like last year’s result, I will no longer have to do a
follow-up on the liver. I was grateful at the mercy of God for
extending my time further.

please don’t blame God. He has a plan and a reason to
allow crisis to show up in our lives. So please trust in God,

The day Kung had been waiting for had arrived. She laid

on a narrow table that slid into the doughnut-shaped hole
of a PET-CT19 Scan machine at the nuclear medicine depart-
ment.
Not long after, the machine started to work. The nar-
row base gradually and slowly moved Kung’s body through
the tunnel. As soon as her body was wholly slid inside, Kung
closed her eyes.
Then, she began to sing a song in her heart; “All the Way
My Savior Leads Me”20. It was a song that had encouraged
Kung since she discovered she had cancer.
All the way my Savior leads me–
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my guide?
