d) Tables
Tables are adaptable. They can stand alone and often be used by studiers, they

can accommodate a duo of socialites or they can be pushed together, creating
space for a large group of team workers.
Circular table are more appropriate for group study because they naturally create a
conversational setting. Rectangular tables are better for individuals work as they
allow one to comfortably claim an area.

8.7 Ventilation/Air Conditioning
HVAC or Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning is a system that is used to

maintain environmental conditions inside a space. These environmental conditions
must be conducive to human comfort as well as what is required by the product or
process within the space: books in the case of a library.
HVAC systems accomplish the task of maintaining environmental conditions inside a
space by performing all the components of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning.
The heating and air-conditioning systems are used to maintain the required
temperature of the space while the ventilating systems is used to provide fresh air to
the space and maintain the required air quality.

8.8 Internal Environment
Kiddo Children’s Library set up their internal environment in the library plays

an important role in order to attract user to come to their library. Therefore, their
provide many convenience facilities to their user to that user are interested to come to
their library.

Kiddo Children’s Library focuses on external environment extensively. Their

need a good exterior in order to make the library looks pleasant to be visited by the

Membership
Membership helps support maintenance of the library as well as new book purchases. It is
required for patrons who would like to borrow books. Please complete the Membership
Registration Form. Children must register with a parent/ adult. Please update contact
information upon any changes.

Borrowing Books
The number of books a member may borrow at a time is determined by membership level:

 RM10 fee membership
Members may borrow each book for two weeks. Telephone renewal (only once per
book) is accepted during library opening hours only. Please call 603-4448765. Late
returns will be subject to a fine of RM1 per book per week.

Fines
Please take special care of each checked out book. This includes keeping books clean, dry,
and away from sun and heat which can damage the plastic cover. Fines for damaged books
may range from RM1 up to the replacement value of the book. Fines may be incurred for:

 Torn pages/ due date slips or damaged plastic cover
 Lost book
 Scribbling and stains (food or drink) on pages
Please notify the librarian of any damages when returning the book
Please do not attempt to repair damaged books yourself as special tape needs to be used.
