Relationship
Check-in

Embodying relational love to strengthen us

Relationships, especially close ones, can be deeply grounding, a real shelter and potentially
highly transformative. They also tend to reveal deep insecurities and patterns in us. Taking
the time and effort to strengthen them is a true act of Love.
A healthy way of implementing this in your intimate relationships is to create regular check in
times, ideally biweekly or monthly. While the process is ideally done together, if you are new or
unsure, do it by yourself a few times before trying it with your partner.

Step 1: Start with yes/no questions...

Take turns asking your partner these questions, mark your feeling on the spectrum, and
then discuss any responses to the left of “Neutral.” See tips on the facing page.
