CEO Hilda Fernandez, and Project Hero Founder John Wordin for a private meeting at the U.S.
Conference of Mayors where the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation announced
our support for the opening of a new  Project Hero Miami HUB Center  within the new Camillus
House Somerville Veteran's Village.

Over the past thirty plus years the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation has committed itself
to fulfilling its mission statement to Love, Honor, Respect, and
Empower the Lives of the Suffering, Hopeless and Forgotten. Our
Father and Mother, Anthony and Genevieve Abraham, were proud
Americans of Lebanese Heritage. Our parents embraced their
heritage, their Maronite faith, their love of country, and family.

It is with great humility and honor that the Abraham family Thomas Abraham- John Wordin
continues to uphold their legacy of their love for this country and
those who serve by supporting Miami's first full-service housing
center for our Homeless Veterans with a One Million Dollar Grant
to support Project Hero Miami HUB Center  within the new
Camillus House Veteran Homeless Facility.

“Helping make the Project Hero Miami HUB Center  a reality
and supporting our local veterans, what better way to support our
American Hero’s than to be a small part of the launching of the
new Project Hero Miami HUB Center. Project Hero HUB Center is
an ideal way for the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation to continue
to achieve our mission of empowering those in need,” Thomas

Secretary of the VA Dr. Shulkin
Meeting with Project Hero veterans at the home of Vice President Pence.

Today was a very special day in having the Secretary of the VA, Dr. Shulkin, in Miami in
support of our Veterans. Project Hero has been working closely with mayors to open HUB Centers
in cities throughout the US and partner with VA Medical Center directors following a recent
authorization memo from Secretary Shulkin directing VA Medical Centers nationwide to integrate
Project Hero HUB programs at their facilities. 

Secretary Shulkin was joined by Vice
President Mike Pence earlier this month to
help kick-off the Project Hero United
Healthcare Memorial Challenge presented
by Boeing. “Project Hero is grateful for the
trust the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation
and its Board of Directors is placing in us
with this generous donation and on behalf
of the thousands of veterans we serve in
Miami, the state of Florida and throughout
the nation, we thank them for giving us the
opportunity to better serve our healing
heroes,” “This gift will go directly to making
a truly beneficial difference in the lives of
the homeless veterans of Miami.” said John
Wordin, Founder of Project Hero.

Project Hero is a national nonprofit organization that helps veterans and first responders achieve
rehabilitation, recovery and resilience in their daily lives.    Project Hero HUB Centers currently
offer rehabilitation, family service, community service, employment and education programs for
veterans in more than 50 cities throughout the nation.

The Anthony R. Abraham Foundation is a proud supporter of Camillus House for over
thirty plus years which has been providing humanitarian services to persons who are poor and
homeless in Miami since 1960. Established to serve Cuban exiles during its humble beginning as
a small soup kitchen, Camillus House is now the largest service provider for the homeless in
South Florida, growing into a full service organization that offers a comprehensive system of care,
including food; clothing; emergency, transitional and permanent housing; physical an in troubled
mental health care; and substance abuse treatment. We Salute Bob Dickinson, Chairman of
Camillus House, for his vision and collaborative initiative in working with John Wordin , Founder
Project Hero, and the Abraham Foundation in the creation of the New Camillus Veterans
Homeless Campus which will house the Project Hero Miami HUB Center. We are so excited that
the Hub Program will become an interracial part of the new Camillus Veterans Homeless Campus.

It is not everyday that we can truly stand up and be counted for the service we can contribute to
