Cherie Garden is a pleasant and magnificent
garden in the town. The garden is like an
escape place where I go to free my mind and
body from everyday chaos. The bright green
grass creates a serene environment for the
garden. A lot of pretty flowers are planted
around the garden such as lilac, tulips, and
roses. The shades of blue, purple, red, and pink
made the garden look more lively and colorful.
Furthermore, the light pink of the cherry
blossom tree increased the glory of the garden.
There is also a blueberry farm next to the
garden which is owned by Uncle Hagrid.

Every Sunday morning, I will spend my time in
this garden with my bosom friend, Hermione.
Hermione, a girl with long brown hair and
brown eyes is my best friend since I was five
years old. We lived in the same town and she is
my neighbor. We also went to the same school
from kindergarten until high school. We help
each other out with studies and often visited
each other’s homes. Hermione and I have so
many things in common. For example, we have
the same music taste and fashion. We spent
most of our time together doing so many
things such as watching movies, baking cakes,
shopping, and of course doing homework.

On Sunday, Hermione and I would go to the
Cherie Garden for a picnic. The reason we go to
the garden for a picnic is to relax from the
daily monotonous life. The greenery of the
garden and the beautiful blooms are such a
treat for our eyes. Breathing in the cool
autumn air with the sweet fragrance lingering
in the air that comes from the flowers was a
therapeutic atmosphere. The sounds of birds
chirping and the plants gently rustling in the
wind is like soothing music to our ears.

We always brought a basket full of delicious
foods, a bag of fun things to do, and a large
beige blanket for the picnic. As we arrived at
the garden, Hermione set out the beige blanket
under the shady cherry blossom tree to
prepare the food. I bring out the chicken
sandwich and sparkling strawberry lemonade
drink. The sandwich that contained delicious
chicken with a crisp salad and spicy sauces
was scrumptious to eat. We shared stories as
we eat while looking at the airy clouds.

After eating the delicious sandwich and
refreshing drink, we spend the entire
afternoon reading books. Hermione loves to
read. Reading is her hobby. A few genres of
books that she likes to read are mystery,
thriller, romance, and action novels.
Meanwhile, I like fantasy and historical novels.
Beneath the cherry blossom tree, we read our
book while munching the big and chewy
chocolate chip cookies. The cookies were
freshly baked by us early in the morning.

After reading a book, we continue doing our
next activity, drawing. I like drawing since I
was ten years old. Drawing in the garden
under the clear blue skies while feeling the
autumn breeze brought comfort and peace to
my heart and mind. When the sun is about to
set, we started packing back our stuff. On the
way home, we greeted a short and kindly-
looking woman, Aunt Molly. She gave us a
creamy and crunchy ice cream pie.

Looking at my surrounding, made me realize
how much I love this town. I am grateful to
live in this beautiful town with beautiful
people. Most importantly, I am extremely
fortunate to have such a kind, pretty and
supportive friend who stayed by my side
through thicks and thins. May good days
remain forever.
