Fire Retardancy

British Standard BS 7176: 2007 allows premises to be divided into different categories of
fire hazard. Within each category, test methods indicate the resistance to ignition sources,
and at which hazard level. This information should allow you to select the appropriate fabric
for your premises.

Low Hazard

Updated BS 7176 Test Methods: BS EN 1021 1,2 Resistance to ignition sources cigarette
and match. Typical Examples: Offices, schools, colleges, universities, museums, exhibitions
and day centres.

Medium Hazard
