Rational

The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) is a programme introduced under
the MBMBMI policy that will improve the English proficiency of the
students through the increased exposure to English. Its also aims to
inculcate positive behaviours towards learning and usage of the English.

Inorder to ensure that every individual is competent in the used of
English, there is a need to initiate highly immersive Englis-rich
environment In schools in ensuring better students’ outcomes,
partnerships between school, parents and communities are equally crucial
in accelerating English proficiency amongst the students.

Objectives

Achievement benchmarks:
1. Increase self-confidence to pronounce English words accurately.
2. Adds English vocabulary.
3. mprove students' mastery of spelling and pronunciation of English
words.
4. Pupils will be more sensitive to spell correctly, especially inEnglish
writing.
5. Pupils will be more courageous, not ashamed to be confident
to say and use English in everyday conversation.
