PLEASE VACCINATE YOUR CHILDREN AND GET YOUR BOOSTER JABS

According to the Health Minister, there has been a rise in the number of Covid-19
cases among children below 12 years old this year. This is due to the spread of
the Omicron variant.

He said there is no vaccine approved in any country yet for the new born to
four-year-old children. For the five to 11-year-old children, there is a vaccine used
in Malaysia under PICKids. He hoped parents will get their children vaccinated.
He said parents should not fear because the vaccination does not cause severe
symptoms.

The minister also urged the public to take their booster jabs to reduce the risk of
hospitalisation. He said that, getting a booster vaccination is not a guarantee that
you will not contract Covid-19 infection, but it helps prevent severe symptoms of
Covid-19 cases.

All vaccination centres (PPVs) now provide walk-in booster shots for all age groups.
It is your responsibility to get your booster shot.
