We are grateful to the Rev’d Alan Jackson for taking our services today.

The next PCC Meeting will be held tomorrow at 7.30 pm in the Lady Chapel. We will be reviewing

our safeguarding policy and social media policy and hearing updates on the church hall

redevelopment project and the new audio visual system.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

The swearing in of churchwardens, PCC members and sidespersons will take place during
the 10.00 am service next Sunday, 27th May, after Margaret and Jude have been sworn in as

churchwardens by the archdeacon on Wednesday. If you were unable to attend the APCM, spare

copies of the Accounts and Annual Reports are available in the porch for you to take away.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

We will be holding a training session for all sidespersons, new and existing, at 11.00 am on
Saturday 26th May in church. This should only last about half an hour. It is important that all

sidespersons attend, if possible, because some changes have been made to the existing

procedures and some standard procedures are not being followed and people need to be

reminded of them. The revised instructions were sent to existing sidespersons and I will ensure

that they are sent to all new sidespersons. It would be useful if you could all bring a copy of the

instructions with you so that you can follow them and ask any questions.

The next edition of our Parish Magazine, Saints Alive, is due to be published in June. If you have

any ideas for interesting articles or news please speak to the parish office. Articles need to be
with the parish office by Wednesday 6th June please at the very latest and preferably sooner.

The All Saints' Summer Fete will be held on Saturday 9th June from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm,
coinciding with Hampton Carnival, as we did last year. It’s All Saints' 110th birthday this year so

our Fete will be a great way to help celebrate this anniversary. If you have any ideas for stalls and

activities which we could run at the Fete please let the parish office know. If you would like to be

involved in the Summer Fete only an hour of your time is required, although we would be pleased

if you could offer more. Please complete the sheet in the porch indicating which stall you would
like to help with. We particularly need help with cream teas, children’s games and the toy stall.

Donations for stalls: We will be extremely grateful for all donations of bric a brac, jewellery,
unused gifts, unopened toiletries, items for the bottle tombola, books, good quality toys and
games. Please deliver all donations either to the parish office or the church porch. Alcohol should
only be left with the parish office.

If you have any gazebos to loan for the Fete they would be gratefully appreciated. Please let the
parish office know if you can help.

We have permission from the council to display posters on lampposts so we have some

laminated ones with string for you to take away and display. We also have unlaminated ones to

display in your window.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
The next Lunch Club will take place on Wednesday 23rd May at 12.30 pm in the church hall. If

you would like to attend please add your name to the list in the porch by midday today.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
The Reading Group will meet on Wednesday 13th June to talk about 'The Bat' by Jo Nesbo. We

have a couple of spaces for new members at the moment, so if you would like to join us please do

talk to Tony, Laura or Sarah. This is a really relaxed evening of chat about the book we have

read, nothing very high-brow but it often brings us to an appreciation of the work we may not have

come to on our own.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Ladies Club will meet on Tuesday 22nd May at 7.45 pm in the church hall for a talk on “Summer
Flowers” by Elizabeth Wait. New members are always welcome.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Sarah Pain would like everyone to know that she has been having problems with her landline at

home and requests that people only contact her via her mobile number.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

The parish office will be open at the following times this week:
Monday 21st May – 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm
