Welcome

A Message from Pastor Jason New to Galilee?
Dear Friend,
There’s a good reason that we Let us know you’re here by filling out

woman, as “Mother Nature.” Women
are the truly amazing half of God’s We’d love to know you better and tell
human creation. They have within you about ministries and groups that
themselves the power to create,
nurture, and transform. may interest you.
This Spring, as Mother Nature bursts
into bloom all around us, we’ve
embarked on a worship series called
“Extraordinary Women of the Bible.” I
hope that, like me, you’ll be inspired
by the thread that is woven through
so many stories of the Bible: God
chooses ordinary women to
accomplish amazing things.
May this series water and nourish the
seeds of spiritual transformation in
your own life!
In Christ,

The Chapel at Lansdowne Woods

A Message from Pastor Matt Everyone Is Welcome!
Dear Friend,
Women are special. I know, I have Chapel Worship Service:
three living in my house! I cherish my Sundays at 10am
wife and daughters and thank God for
the qualities of love and grace that 19375 Magnolia Grove Square
they bring to our home. Lansdowne, VA 20176
Jesus Christ is a unique figure in
history for obvious reasons. One that
we don’t think about enough is his
revolutionary attitude toward women.
In a deeply patriarchal society, Christ
valued women in his life and in
his mission. He treated women as
equals—not because of politics, but
because of a deep appreciation of
his Father’s love for all (not part) of
humanity.
Join us at Galilee and the Chapel this
Spring as we look at how God makes
a habit of choosing ordinary women
to accomplish great work. I’m excited
to be preaching on “Extraordinary
Women of the Bible.”
Rejoice!

Matt Sergent, Associate Pastor

Loudoun Interfaith Relief celebrated its 25th year with a name change. Now
known as Loudoun Hunger Relief (LHR), it seeks an increased focus on fresh,
nutritious foods. Out of the 1.2 million pounds of food provided last year, just
6% was fresh food. If LHR can increase its percentage of fresh food, it will
increase the health and wellness of our community.
Please bring in all donations of fresh food on the LAST Sunday of each month.

Carrots Plantains Ginger root

Potatoes Lemons/Limes Onions

Peppers Turnips Yucca

Please feel free to continue to donate throughout the month shelf-stable items
such as rice, beans, cereal, flour, sugar, peanut butter, jelly/jam and canned

On behalf of LHR, and the Galilee LHR volunteers, thank you for supporting the
least among us. God Bless You.

Sundays: Friends in Faith

Studying: The God Who is There

It can no longer be assumed that most people or even most Christians
have a basic understanding of the Bible. Many don’t know the difference
between the Old and New Testament, and even well-known biblical figures
are often misunderstood.

In this basic introduction to faith, D. A. Carson takes seekers, new Christians, and small
groups through the big story of Scripture. He helps readers to discover what they believe
and why they believe it.
