Shahada/Faith

● Muslims believe in heaven and hell

● God created his angels to do his work
throughout the universe

I don’t think religious people
want to go to hell. This also
tells people you still have to do
work in the afterlife.

Salat/Prayer

● Worshipers face the Qibla,
the direction of Makkah

● Before praying Muslims
must wash their hands,
face, arms, and feet

This shows all Muslims are
clean and loyal to Islam.

Zakat/Charity

● Zakat prays for soup
kitchen, clothing, and for
the poor

● Zakat provides aid for
stranded travelers

This influences the
unselfishness in Muslim
lives.

Siyam/Fasting

● During Ramadan, Muslims
fast from the break of dawn
to the setting of the sun

● After a meal shared with
family or friends Muslims
attend special prayer
sessions

This shows self control and
loyalty to fasting.

Hajj/Pilgrimage

● They run along a passage
between 2 small hills

● The pilgrims circle the Kaaba
7 times

This could show Muslim tradition
by doing this every 12 months
(year).
