EXPENSES. ACCEPTANCE INTO THIS PROGRAM IS A PRIVILEGE OPEN ONLY TO ASC MEMBERS IN
GOOD STANDING WHO SUBSCRIBE TO THE A CODE OF ETHICS. MEMBERSHIP IN THE PROGRAM MUST
BE RENEWED ON AN ANNUAL BASIS ON THE FORM SUPPLIED BY THE ASC BY JANUARY 1st EACH YEAR.

I understand that the American Spaniel Club has published, and actively promotes guidelines for responsible breeders. These
guidelines are stated in the ASC Cocker Spaniel Breeder Referral Policy and Guidelines. As a Cocker Spaniel breeder, I promise
to follow these guidelines and the ASC Code of Ethics to the best of my ability. I understand that failure to do so may result in
my expulsion from this program. I also understand that the program is foremost an education program, and that as a participant,
I may be contacted by potential Cocker Spaniel owners for information about the breed, even if I do not have companion dogs
available at that time.

Memory of . . .

Stephen A. D. Picciuolo (90 years of age) of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022,
after an extended illness.  Stephen graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree, retired from the
U.S. Navy as a Captain, and later taught in the public school system for 16 years. Captain Picciuolo gained many
awards throughout his military career:  Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal,
Navy Commendation Medal.  He had three Vietnam Attack Carrier Combat Tours flying the A-4 Skyhawk (over
2,000 hours in A-4 and 600 Carrier Landings).  Stephen was Commanding Officer of Attack Squadron 45 at
NAS Cecil Field.

Stephen became involved with purebred dogs in 1961 when he and his wife, Maryrose, a Life Member of
the American Spaniel Club, became members of a Cocker Spaniel Specialty Club.  He began to show in
Obedience in 1986. Most recently, he actively trained and showed Cocker Spaniels, Dobermans, and Vizslas
in Conformation, Obedience, and Rally.  His love for training dogs and competing took him into the world of
judging.  He judged all Obedience and Rally Classes for the American Kennel Club, the Australian Shepherd
Club of America, and the FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale). Stephen was a well-known and loved
judge for almost 30 years.

Stephen belonged to the Vizsla Club of America, Doberman Pinscher Club of America, The South Atlantic

Cocker Spaniel Club of Jacksonville, and the K-9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville. He had been President of the

K-9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville for 8 years and was past President of the South Atlantic Cocker Spaniel Club

of Jacksonville. Stephen judged at the American Spaniel Club in 2015.  He enjoyed teaching Basic and Advanced

Classes for K-9 and conducting seminars. He will be missed.
