Do you enjoy singing? Join Contorial Soloist, Todd Herzog, in our Adult Choir, which performs at High Holiday services, as well as, several other services throughout the year. Temple membership and the ability to carry a tune is a prerequisite, but no other music reading or prior experience necessary. Commitment is on a 'per service' basis. Historically celebrated by women as a time to come together, explore and discuss relevant matters at the start of the new moon. Rosh Chodesh is literally translated as “head of the month,” and has existed as a women’s holiday. Spend an evening with women of Solel. We will meet once a month for a dairy potluck dinner and discussion, as we reflect the interests, personalities and passions of the women involved. We encourage children to explore the world while develping small and large muscle coordination, eye-hand coordination, language skills, a strong sense of self-esteem, and foster a positive Jewish identity.

We strive to provide out students with interactive and challenging experiences that build a foundation of knowledge, relevance, and literacy. Every experience needs to emphasize the core values that we each bring from our diverse traditions and backgrounds. Shabbat and holiday programs, worship, experiential learning, art, music, and family programs are all included in order to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Hebrew letter recognition and basic Hebrew vocabulary begins in Kindergarten with formal Hebrew training beginning in grade 4 through grade 6. Raker Religious School begins at 9:00AM on Sundays.
LIGHTS CHAI YOUTH LEADERSHIP RRS Youth Retreat Madrichim LA Teen Social Justice Trip Reform Teen Coalition Civil Rights Journey The Tribe Annual youth retreat for grades 4-7 to Camp Stein Leadership opportunity for 8 8-12th grade students /9th grade will explore Los Angeles through the lens of social justice & activism. RTC is our youth activity group in partnership with the other reform 10-12th grade w temples in our community. ill go to Georgia & Alabama to embark on the Civil Rights Trail. Youth Learning Opportunities [email protected] & 9th grades - Comparative Judaism and World Religions 10th Grade Confirmation Class 11th & 12th grades meet with senior staff and members of the congregation to discuss the "Big Questions" Classes for 8-12: Confirmation Class: Confirmation Class for 10th graders focuses on exploring Jewish identity and Jewish values. During class, this group will engage in a discussion-style workshop. One of the highlights of the Confirmation year is the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. in January to attend the L'Taken Seminar with other Jewish teens from around the country. There they will experience the work of the Reform movement \'s Religious Action Center and learn to lobby important issues. The year will conclude with a ceremony and reception to mark and celebrate this special groups's Jewish Journey. Madrichim Program: 8th-12th graders are encouraged to apply for positions as Madrichim-In-Training (8th grade) or Madrichim (9-12 grades) for Raker Religious School. Participants in the Madrichim program requires enrollment in 8th-12th grade classes. Madrichim in grades 9-12 receive an honorarium four times a year.

Shabbat Torah Study: Build community through the weekly study of Torah. All are welcome. Torah study is held Saturday mornings each week at 9:00AM and also serves as a minyan for anyone saying Kaddish. Lunch And Learn: Join us as we nourish our minds and bodies with the study of Torah. Weekly online on Wednesday's at noon. Invite a Friend: Temple Solel would love for congregants to invite their Jewish friends and family to experience a Shabbat service, or have a Shabbat dinner in their home/ apartments! SHABBAT SERVICES During the year, we have special events incorporated into or after services including; Choir Shabbat, Family Shabbat, Shabbat Shira, and Tot Shabbat. Additional special services throughout the year include; Erev Simchat Torah & Consecration, New Member Shabbat, Pre-K Aliyah/Graduation, and 10th Grade Confirmation services.
