Project Brief

Songsmth Productions is a sonic branding content studio that brings
together award-winning producers, engineers and songwriters to help
brands captivate audiences through music and various audio touch points.

Songsmth Productions started as a joint venture between CAD Manage-
ment and BDRM Records, based in Los Angeles, CA and led by award-win-
ning songwriter, executive producer and entrepreneur Mickey Shiloh.

Sonic branding is the strategic use of music and sound to help reinforce
brand recognition and enhance consumer experience, through building
an identity that goes beyond the eyes, into consumers’ ears and minds.



Concept

The logomark presents a squiggly monogram composed of the letters
SS (standing for Songsmth), thoroughly aligned and symmetrized in
order to simulate the visual appearance of sound waves.

The black and white color scheme along with the minimalist logomark
contour Songsmth Productions’ visual identity as a modern sound engi-
neering studio with an affinity for minimalism and a strong brand voice.



Typography

Circular is available in four weights - book, medium, bold and black - eachTypeface:Circular Std
with matching italics. The typeface is Brunner’s second official release,Weight:Bold
Category: Sans Serif
Aathe other being the well-received Akkurat.
Circular is a geometric sans serif typeface created by Swiss designer Lau-
renz Brunner and released through Lineto in 2013. Despite being based
primarily off geometric forms, it has quirks that give it a lot of warmth.



Chromatics

The color palette for Songsmth Productions is a custom black-and-white
pair, accompanied by a dark shade of purple as a secondary color and a
vivid shade of red as an accent color.
